Abstract
The square-section plastic container has vertical ribs on the inside of opposite walls, and is particularly for the transport of packed items of foodstuffs, e.g. boxes of eggs. The walls have locking devices at top and bottom, used when full containers are stacked on top of each other. The two other walls have grooves on the outside, accommodating the ribs when the empty containers are stacked, after rotation through 90 deg. in relation to each other. The containers can be made from relative hard, though still bendable, material since the dimensions and distances between the flat edges of the rib structure can be greater than usual. A smaller bending of the side walls can be reckoned with.
