Abstract
Catalyst body comprises a metallic base, a layer of Ni and/or Co aluminides 10 mu - 1 mm thick at least one layer of alpha-Al2O3 and at least one catalytic surface layer such as gamma-Al2O3 or n-Al2O3. The aluminide is deposited by cementation, the Al2O3 layer is formed by heating an Al deriv., and the catalytic layer by calcination of a -Pt sulphoresistant. The various layers are formed without the disadvantages obtaining in flame deposition processes, such as shadowing. Complex shaped can be formed without welding.
