Abstract

The base of the vessel is shapped and domed inwards in the form of two crossed indentations, curved, trapezium shaped or triangular in cross-section, whose apex lines are at different spacings from the surface on which the bottle stands. The higher one of the two, which are at right angles with their axes of symmetry intersecting on the centre line of the bottle, is at right angles to the splitting plane of the mould tool. Stability ensured even after sterilisation without excessive material consumption or complicated tooling.
