Abstract

Syringe of the type comprising a cylindrical zone. with a graduated zone. in co-operation with a piston, is made by injection moulding of a plastic material, and features a thinning of the body wall in the graduated zone so tht the requried transparency for the precise control of the position of the piston is assured. The body has a cylindrical shape and is closed at its lower end by a base fitted with a boss to receive a needle holder. The thickness of the body wall at the graduated scale is reduced to a fraction of that of the remaining wall, so as to form a 'window' in a recess. The position of the piston can readily be seen through the inner wall of the scale while the remainder of the thicker body confers sufficient rigidity.
