Abstract

Liquids insol. in water (eg. hydrocarbons, essences, Kerosene etc) are gelatinised by missing with them a stearic acid salt in amt. 1-3%, while heating at 30-40 degrees C. In the case of spillage, e.g. in the sea, the gelatinised liqs. are easily recovered.
