Abstract

Composite electric furnace electrodes composed of two elements with different characteristics placed axially together and connected by a threaded assembling element which cooperates with the facing ends of the electrodes. Press. exerting elements exercising an axial force on the connected threaded parts are disposed at the end of one electrode element to maintain the rigidity of the assembly and the permanence of electrical power transmission between the electrode elements.
