Abstract

The bags are brought to the welding station, the walls are separated and the partially formed handles welded to the inside of the bag walls. The process brings the handles automatically to the bag at the moment when the walls are separated ready for welding. The handles may be cut from two superposed sheets of synthetic heat sealable material or form lay flat tubing moving in an opposite direction to that of the bags. Pref. a device holds the sheets fixed while the handles are stamped out.
