Abstract
Distillation apparatus has a series of rapid evaporation chambers in which the working pressure gradually decreases along the series, each chamber, the uppermost and lowest chambers, directly receiving liquid from the previous chamber with a higher working pressure and directly discharging liquid to the next chamber with a lower working pressure; and a series of condensation chambers in which the working pressure gradually decreases along the series, each chamber receiving vapour from an adjoining evaporation chamber with a corresponding working pressure, and each chamber after the first chamber receiving cooling liquid from the previous chamber for the condensing of the vapour at a lower temp. and pressure by the direct effect of centrifugal force, and each chamber before the last chamber supplying liquid to the next chamber at a higher temp. and pressure by the direct effect of centrifugal force. The chambers are placed in a housing with channels for transferring the vapour of the evaporation chambers to the connected condensation chambers, the evaporation chamber series being placed directly above the condensation chamber series.
