Abstract
Use of accelerated nuclear particles in conjunction with water feed conduits. Allows control of time necessary to the fluid mixture circulating in the well to pass the section separating the radioactive particle source and the detector; such variations in time give quantitative determination of flow. Includes a measuring device movable within a probe orifice, a radioactive source lodged within the instrument above the source and a device mounted on to the instrument for regulation of the fluid volume circulating in the probe orifice between the source and the detector. The fluid regulating device in the probe bore consists of an inflatable sac.
