Abstract
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing workpieces of ferritic steel, in which the workpiece is formed from chrome steel with a chromium content of at least 13%, after which the workpiece is provided with a coating of nickel or of an alloy which essentially contains nickel or cobalt, the thickness of which coating is at least 5 μm, whereupon the workpiece is diffusion- annealed at at least 850 degree C in an oxygen-free environment and in this way the layer alloyed with nickel or cobalt is brought to the desired hardness, with martensite formation.
