CONSISTE EN INTRODUCIR EN LA MASA DE METAL FUNDIDO UNA MEZCLA CONSTITUIDA POR UN COMPUESTO, TAL COMO CARBURO CALCICO PURO, CAPAZ DE REACCIONAR CON LAS IMPUREZAS EXISTENTES EN EL METAL FUNDIDO, REVESTIDO CON UN COMPUESTO CUYO ANGULO DE CONTACTO CON LA MASA FUNDIDA ES MENOR QUE EL DEL CARBURO CALCICO, Y AL QUE SE HA APLICADO PREVIAMENTE UN AGENTE AGLUTINANTE; Y ELIMINACION DE LAS IMPUREZAS QUE HAN REACCIONADO CON EL CARBURO CALCICO. TIENE APLICACIONES PARA LA ELIMINACION DE IMPUREZAS DE HIERRO, ACERO Y COBRE.
