Abstract

A line protection circuit breaker (1) whose latching mechanism (2) essentially consists of a latch (10) which is supported such that it can rotate, has a contact lever (11) and stands on a tripping device (8), and of a manual operating device (9) which is connected by means of a spring (12) outside its centre of rotation (13) to the latch (10), close to its centre of rotation (14), the centre of rotation of the latch forming a latch lever (15) which is connected to the manual operating device (9) eccentrically with respect to its centre of rotation (13). It is provided according to the invention that a driver lever (16) be connected to the latch (10) on the other side of the latch lever (15) opposite the spring (12), in the region of action of which driver lever (16) a lever element (17) of a coupling shaft (18) for line protection circuit breakers which can be added on is arranged, and that a tab (20) of the coupling shaft (18) deflects, during its rotation into the unlatching position of the tripping device (8).
