Abstract
The purpose of this invention is to separate the metal component from the remainder in a clean slag produced by an electric furnace and/or converter. The method for treating the clean slag comprises first solidifying it and crushing it in a first stage, screening the result and passing it to a second crushing operation. The screened material M1 passes to a third crusher and after being crushed and screened the said crushed slag M3 is transferred to a fractionating device and screened to obtain the metal components separate from the rest by means of a specific installation. The finely ground metal which remains in this residue is then screened by a magnetic device and finally the valuable metals contained in the said clean slag are recovered.
