Abstract
4-(3-Methyl-2-butenyl)-1,2- diphenyl-3,5-dioxopyrazolidine (Feprazone) is prepared by reacting 3- methyl-2-butenyl acetate with an alkali metal salt of 1,2-diphenyl-3,5- dioxopyrazolidine in the presence of a catalyst, preferably a palladium complex, and a ligand.
