EL RACOR HEMBRA COMPRENDE EN SU PARTE CENTRAL UN CUERPO DE TOPE PARA LOS TERMINALES MACHOS, PRESENTANDO UN ORIFICIO AXIAL QUE ATRAVIESA Y, ALREDEDOR DE ESTE, UNA SUPERFICIE DE CONTACTO ENFRENTADA A CADA UNO DE LOS TERMINALES MACHOS, LOS CUALES PRESENTAN UNA PROTUBERANCIA TUBULAR AXIAL SUSCEPTIBLE DE INTRODUCIRSE EN EL ORIFICIO DE DICHO CUERPO DE TOPE Y UN CONDUCTO EN EL CUAL LA FIBRA OPTICA PUEDE SER INTRODUCIDA CON JUEGO E INMOVILIZADA DE MANERA QUE SU EXTREMO COINCIDA CON EL EXTREMO DE DICHA PROTUBERANCIA. CADA UNO DE LOS TERMINALES PRESENTA UN VACIADO ANULAR CUYA PARED DEFINE UNA SUPERFICIE DE CONTACTO CON LA SUPERFICIE ENFRENTADA DEL CUERPO DE TOPE DEL RACOR, BAJO LA ACCION DE MEDIOS DE PRESION LONGITUDINALES.
