Abstract
A method of manufacturing a rotor of an electrical machine, for example an electric motor, is provided. The method includes a step which provides for a modification of the external surface of the rotor so as to increase heat transfer from the rotor. This can be achieved by coating the rotor with a material having a high emissivity, or by roughening an exterior surface of the rotor.
