Abstract

Un método mejorado para la fabricación continua de fibras ópticas comprendiendo el mismo el uso de un mandril refractario para altas temperaturas con conicidad por uno de sus extremos; calentamiento de ese mandril a la temperatura de fusión de los componentes del cristal, empleo de un número de toberas para formar el depósito de dichos componentes del cristal sobre dicho mandril, y estirado de dichos componentes fundidos del cristal desde el extremo cónico de dicho mandril para formar una fibra óptica continua.
