Abstract

The fragmentation anti-aircraft missile has a front external casing (2) shaped so as to form between its inside wall and the outside of the missile body (6) a chamber containing balls (3) made from a high-density material. On the inside wall of the body there can be a series of lengthwise grooves, preferably of angular section, while there are annular grooves at the rear end. The grooves aid prefragmentation of the components and maintain a greater fragment density after the explosion.
