Abstract
Un método de soldadura por arco, en el que se mantiene un arco metálico en gas inerte entre un electrodo consumible y una pieza de trabajo en un plasma de gas, el cual es envuelto por un gas de protecciçon, siendo generado dicho plasma de gas por un arco de plasma entre un electrodo no consumible y la pieza de trabajo, usándose un gas de la misma composición a la vez como gas de plasma y como gas de la misma composición a la vez como gas de plasma y como gas de protección y siendo suministrado como un flujo de gas común el cual dividido en una columna central de gas de plama y en una camisa de gas de protección en la región del electrodo no consuminle, caracterizado porque el caudal del plasma de gas es aumentado por estrechamiento o limitación del gas de protección, y por consiguiente del plasma de gas, aguas abajo del electrodo no consumible.
