Abstract
Procedure for the preparation of saturated aliphatic secondary amines by hydrogenation of nitriles or mixtures of unsaturated or partially unsaturated nitriles with 8-22 carbon atoms, possibly in mixture with saturated or unsaturated amines with the mentioned chain length, with simultaneous separation of ammonia, in the presence of fixed bed hydrogenation catalysts, which is characterized in that in a first reaction stage the mentioned nitriles are hydrogenated with hydrogen pressures of 100-300 manometric atmospheres and at 100-200ºc, continuously, to form a mixture of primary, secondary and tertiary saturated amines, and this mixture is deaminated continuously in a second reaction stage at 0-50 gauge atmospheres and at temperatures of 120-220ºC in the presence of hydrogenation catalysts, optionally with the addition of hydrogen.
