Abstract

An extruded plastics joint cover strip 1 of T-section has a web portion 3 projecting into the joint 5 between, e.g. two partion panels 6 and 7, and secured therein by a number of spring clips 8 of generally U-shaped crosssection with at least one arm of the U having a tongue, e.g. 15, punched out of it. The strip 1 may have longitudinal serrations 4 on the web 3 for locating tongues 17, one of which extends inwardly from one arm of each clip of the type shown in Fig. 3. This clip has two tongues 15 on one arm, and a central, outwardly projecting tongue 11 on the other arm, with a central tongue 18 projecting in turn therefrom. Each of the outwardly projecting tongues has a curved end to grip the adjacent panels. In the embodiment of Fig. 4 (not shown), the web 23 extends in line with one finage 22 so that the strip may be used for a corner joint, and in the embodiment of Fig. 5, (not shown) the strip 33 has a smooth web, and the clips 37 each have a central, outwardly projecting, curved-ended tongues 44 or 45 on each arm, with curved-in end portions 40 or 41 to the surrounding arm portions, to grip the strip web.
