Abstract
A manufacturing process for oily shale oil that essentially consists of subjecting the ground shale to a sieve that gives a distribution of particles of size between 6 and 9% by weight that are capable of passing through a 0.95-centimeter sieve to separate the graduated shale; in transforming the fine shale capable of passing through a 0.95-centimeter sieve, into pellets in the absence of a tar unifier, and in placing said graduated shale and said pedigons in a vertical retort.
