The present invention relates to the technical field of dermatological cosmetics that deals with the care and aesthetic improvement of the skin and / or hair, by preventing and correcting the constant alterations that may occur.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The field of dermatological cosmetics, in which the invention is framed, has the particularity that it requires always being at the forefront of it, in order to remain in the market and earn the necessary quota to be competitive.

In this sense, there is a need to continually develop new cosmetic products, which not only differ from the previous ones in terms of the percentages of the different active ingredients or aromas that make them up, but also make a clear difference with respect to the products of the state of the art.

The present invention therefore relates to a new cosmetic product, unique in its properties and economically accessible to the general market.

Unlike the products known to date, the new cosmetic product developed is characterized by comprising active principles with a demonstrated effectiveness against the characteristics expressed from specific genetic markers that have an influence on the appearance and / or health of the skin. and / or the hair.

At present there is a high number (of the order of thousands) of genetic markers identified, each of which may be directly involved in one or more features of the skin or hair such as the appearance of wrinkles, the degree of hydration or dryness of the skin, etc.

Aspects such as the hydration capacity of the skin, the amount of collagen synthesized by the cells, hyperpigmentation, resistance to UV radiation, tendency to generate wrinkles or develop skin cancer or atopic dermatitis, among other conditions, present a high interest in the cosmetic sector.

The present invention has therefore been developed to cover the need to clean, perfume, modify the appearance, protect, keep in good condition or correct the odor of the skin or hair, and has resulted from an exhaustive work of selection of substances, as well as a rigorous study of its connection to certain characteristics of the skin and / or hair. From said study, the new cosmetic product object of the invention was developed based on a selection of substances with the capacity to cover the needs described above.

Although in the state of the art there are multiple cosmetic products characterized by their effectiveness in treating this type of skin and / or hair characteristics, among which can be cited patents or patent applications such as those cited below, none of them describes a formulation with the properties of the product object of the present invention, based on the synergy of its various components.

Among these patents or patent applications located in the state of the art can be highlighted:

The application CN104107159, which refers to a cosmetic product that is composed of 30 raw materials including, among others, deionized water, hydroxyethylcellulose, Aloe Vera extract, sodium hyaluronate, vitamin C, nicotinamide, jojoba oil, vitamin E , etc. Said cosmetic has different functions on the skin, acting as a softener, repairing sensitive skin, etc., and has no side effects.

The application CN103830153, in turn, refers to an emollient cosmetic product, as well as to its obtaining process. Said product comprises a series of ingredients, among which are between 0.6 and 8.7% of an additive consisting of a component of vegetable origin, between 6 and 10% glycerin, between 0.2 and 0.6% of sodium hyaluronate, between 2 and 2.6% stearate and between 78.1 and 91.2% water. The product has the ability to hydrate the skin for a long period of time, as well as bactericidal properties and increased resistance to oxidation. It is also a safe product, which does not produce allergic reactions, is not toxic and is suitable for people with different skin types.

Many other patents relating to cosmetic products could be cited, although none of them has been developed based on the combination of active ingredients selected as part of the development of the present invention, which has a series of properties especially beneficial for the treatment associated with it. of certain characteristics of the skin and / or hair.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

A first object of the invention is a cosmetic product characterized in that it comprises, at least, the following components, in percentage by weight with respect to the total composition:

(a) at least one first active ingredient consisting of sodium hyaluronate (characterized by its moisturizing and moisturizing properties, tensile power and high firming and wrinkle smoothing effect), in a percentage of less than 30%, and more preferably less than 0.1% (although always higher than 0%);

(b) at least a second active principle consisting of extract of smithsonite (or smithsonite), characterized by its protective and anti-aging properties (toning and revitalizing the skin), in a percentage comprised between 1 and 5%; Y

(c) water, in a complementary percentage until reaching 100%.

For the purposes of this patent, active substance is understood as any substance or group of substances that acts directly on the cell and / or on the skin or hair, on an internal and / or external scale. They will therefore have physicochemical properties suitable for the cosmetic action.

It is also object of the invention the cosmetic use of the product as claimed to treat different skin characteristics such as skin flaccidity, solar sensitivity, the development of freckles, deficiency of collagen, elastin and / or vitamin C, etc. It will be especially suitable for use in anti-wrinkle, depigmenting and skin moisturizing treatments.

Depending on the type of application, the format of the product may vary, and may be in the form of cream, gel, serum, tonic, mask, cleansing milk, etc.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Next, a description will be made of different optional embodiments of the invention, all based on the product as defined above, characterized in that it comprises:

(a) at least one first active ingredient consisting of sodium hyaluronate, in a percentage of less than 30%;

(b) at least one second active substance consisting of smithsonite extract, in a percentage comprised between 1 and 5%; Y

(c) water, in a complementary percentage until reaching 100%.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the composition may comprise:

(a) from 0.01% to 0.05% sodium hyaluronate;

(b) 1.5% smithsonite extract; Y

(c) water, in a complementary percentage until reaching 100%.

All the percentages given refer to the weight with respect to the total composition.

In a particular embodiment of the invention, in addition to the essential ingredients as described above, the cosmetic product will additionally comprise hexapeptide-10, in a percentage preferably less than 0.1%. Said compound offers as a beneficial effect the improvement of the flaccidity of the skin, presenting a firming effect with double cellular activity that reinforces the dermo-epidermal junction, increasing the synthesis of laminin 5, intergrin-a6 and hemidesmosomes.

In another particular embodiment of the invention, in addition to the essential ingredients as described above, the cosmetic product will additionally comprise teprenone, preferably less than 0.1%.

In another particular embodiment of the invention, in addition to the essential ingredients as described above, the cosmetic product will additionally comprise biotin in a percentage preferably lower than 0.1% and Imperata cylindrica root extract , in a percentage preferably comprised between 0.1 and 1%. The use of Imperata cylindrica root extract favors the creation of a water reserve capable of hydrating the epidermis for a long period of time, generally up to 24 hours. Therefore, its use will be especially recommended for treat dehydrated skin (face and body), dry scalp or as a foundation for makeup, among other applications.

In another particular embodiment of the invention, in addition to the essential ingredients as described above, the cosmetic product will further comprise hydrolyzed elastin in a percentage preferably less than 0.1% and acetyl tetrapeptide-5 in a percentage preferably less than 0.1. %. The hydrolyzed elastin used in the final product will preferably have the typical structure of high molecular weight elastin. A beneficial effect is its biological efficacy on the skin, by stimulating the formation of young elastic fibers.

The combination of ingredients described above and the percentage thereof in the final product results in a synergistic effect in terms of its beneficial properties when it is used as a cosmetic to treat certain characteristics of the skin and / or hair.

In addition to the active ingredients as previously described, the claimed cosmetic product may comprise other components, being selected for example among those listed below, which may be used in any of its possible combinations:

. at least one vehicle, understood as such a substance and / or chemical structure suitable for the transport of the active ingredients through the skin, helping to be released in the precise places of action. In this way, the choice of the vehicle will influence aspects such as the ease of application of the cosmetic product, the duration of the action, the tolerance of the skin, etc. Among other examples, the capric / caprylic triglyceride (preferably in a percentage comprised between 1 and 5%) may be used;

. at least one emulsifying agent, such as hydrogenated castor oil PEG-40 (preferably in a percentage comprised between 0.1 and 1%) or cellulose (preferably in a percentage comprised between 0.1 and 1%);

. at least one surfactant substance (or surfactant) such as triethanolamine (preferably in a percentage comprised between 0.1 and 1%);

. at least one excipient, such as glycerin (preferably less than 25%);

. at least one thickener, understood as such a substance that supplies viscosity to the cosmetic preparation. Among other examples, mention may be made of glyceryl polyacrylate (preferably in a percentage comprised between 1 and 5%);

. at least one stabilizer, understood as a synthetic substance that prevents incompatibilities (insolubilities) from occurring between the various components of the product. Other examples include propylene glycol (preferably in a percentage comprised between 0.1 and 5%);

. other components such as preservatives such as diazolidinyl urea (preferably less than 0.5%) or benzyl alcohol (preferably less than 0.1%), dyes, perfumes (or fragrances), preferably in a percentage less than 0.5%, UV filters such as titanium dioxide, etc.

The cosmetic product object of the invention, as it has been formulated, was subjected to different tests in order to determine its effectiveness and stability against certain environmental conditions. The results obtained corroborated that the claimed product is not only effective against the treatment of skin and / or hair conditions, but also presents great stability, so that its quality and safety are not altered over time (from its manufacture to its expiration).

In order to determine if the cosmetic product is capable of preventing the adverse effects that may arise during its use or storage, as a consequence of a microbiological contamination, the so-called "Challenge Test" was carried out , whose experimental protocol is described in the Spanish pharmacopoeia and is based on the inoculation of a product with a mixture of microorganisms of different types, as well as in the control of the growth of said microorganisms at defined intervals.

The products tested were the following: an anti-wrinkle serum, an eye contour, a regenerating day cream and a regenerating cream at night.

In this way, in a first test the ISP Biochema method called "Repetitive Challenge Test" was applied in order to determine the microbiological resistance of two cosmetic products, in particular, an anti-wrinkle serum and an eye contour as described. in tables 1 and 2 above. At the beginning of the test, both samples were free of microbiological contamination. Then, they were inoculated with a suspension of microorganisms, adjusting the concentration to 107 CFU per gram of sample. The microorganisms used were selected from the following:

- Bacteria: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Proteus mirabilis; Y

- Mushrooms and yeasts: Aspergillus brasiliensis, Penicillium expansum, Trichoderma viride and Candida albicans.

The results after a 7-day inoculation cycle were negative for the presence of microorganisms, as well as 2, 5 and 12 days after 4 cycles of inoculation. Both samples therefore showed an excellent resistance against microorganisms, resistance that can be prolonged for long periods of time.

Likewise, additional tests were carried out to verify the effectiveness of the preservation system in samples of two other cosmetic products different from the previous ones, in this case, a day regenerating cream and a night regenerating cream (none of them initially contaminated), as described in tables 3 and 4. In this case, the "Multi-Challenge Test" was carried out by Thor Personal Care, in particular, 1ml or 1g of the product to be evaluated was diluted with 9 ml of inactivator. 1ml of this dilution was plated on Tryptone Soya Agar (TSA) and Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) plates.The TSA plates were incubated for 48 hours at 30 ° C and those of SDA for 72 hours at 25 ° C. In the incubation, the count of the number of colonies was carried out and the dilution factor was used to calculate the total of colony forming units (CFU) per ml / g of the original sample.

The results were again positive, confirming that the selected preservative system is able to withstand four successive inoculations and reduce the levels of microorganisms to a maximum value of 3 on the scale of correspondence of bacteria and yeasts, showing no signs of fungal development on the surface after 28 days of incubation.

In addition to the previous tests, tests were carried out for the evaluation of the epicutaneous tolerance after a single application of 0.02 ml of the cosmetic product (in this case, an anti-wrinkle serum, an eye contour and two regenerating creams as described). in the previous tables 1 to 4) on the skin of the back of 10 healthy adult volunteers. In this test, the product is kept in contact with the skin for 48 hours by means of an occlusive patch. The tests were performed according to the "Guidelines for assessment of human skin tolerance of potentially irritating cosmetic ingredient COLIPA, 1997, by technicians licensed in medicine. In this way, the clinical assessment is given according to a numerical scale determined according to the intensity of the observed irritation phenomena (erythema, dryness / desquamation, edema, pimples). In particular, the Mean Irritation Index is calculated by making the average of the scores obtained for the group of volunteers. The result of the test was positive, confirming the epicutaneous tolerance of the cosmetic product object of the invention.

Additionally, studies have been carried out to evaluate the anti-wrinkle and moisturizing effect of the cosmetic product object of the invention (in particular, a day cream, a night cream, a facial serum and an eye contour, as described in FIG. Tables 1 to 4 above), as well as verifying the acceptability and appreciating the cosmetic qualities and effectiveness of said product after being used under the intended conditions of use. Specifically, both anti-wrinkle efficacy (using the technique of taking replicas before and after treatment and computer image analysis) was evaluated objectively and quantitatively, as well as the moisturizing efficacy (through instrumental measurements of skin capacitance, at different experimental times, before and after treatment). Acceptability was verified day by day, by the volunteers themselves at home, as well as controlled by a visual examination of the experimental areas by the responsible technician and a questionnaire made to the volunteers. Cosmetic qualities and effectiveness were appreciated at the end of the study, with the help of a precise questionnaire.

Regarding the methodology, the experimental conditions adopted (areas of application, amount of product applied, frequency and duration of applications, etc.) reproduced the normal conditions of use recommended and the test performed reflected its use by future consumers. . In particular, the application areas were the face and neck and the anterior face of the forearm (one at random, using the other control). The application of the product was carried out 2 times a day (morning and night), during 28 / - 2 consecutive days (4 weeks).

The results of the individual questionnaires and the cutaneous examination were the following:

Regarding the evaluation of efficacy, it was found that the day cream has a cumulative moisturizing effect in the upper layers of the epidermis statistically significant after 28 days of use. In addition, 75% of the volunteers showed an improvement in the hydration level of 25.3% and 92% of the volunteers were satisfied with the sensation of hydration (subjective evaluation).

In relation to the night cream, an anti-wrinkle effect was demonstrated in 92% of the volunteers, after 28 days of use. In addition, 83% of the volunteers were satisfied with the anti-wrinkle efficacy (subjective evaluation).
