Abstract
Aspherical, axisymmetrical lens for generating a specific angular response, consisting of an aspherical, axisymmetrical lens (3) which provides a specific angular sensitivity to a transmitting device (2). The angular response to be provided to the transmitting or receiving device is specified as output data from the design process.The novelty of this invention lies in the capacity of the lens that is the subject of the invention to provide specific axisymmetrical angular responses in three dimensions with high accuracy, without imposing any restriction on the relative size of the lens and the transmitting and receiving devices.Possible fields of application of the lens are: radiation detection and remote supply systems, especially electronics based on photodiodes and or photovoltaic cells LED diode lighting systems, or wireless optical communication systems with an IRED or laser as a transmitter and a photodiode or phototransistor as a receiver.
