Abstract

Procedure for measuring the wavelength of light reflected by one or more Bragg diffraction gratings in the core of a fibre optic and its application to the measurement of deformation and/or temperature, which consists of a non-monochromatic light source (10), an optical coupler (12), a filter (1) depending on the wavelength and a photo-detector (2), the filter being able, depending on the wavelength, to be a long period (20') Bragg grating or a tunable Fabry-P'rot filter (1'), passing the reflected wavelength through the filter so that the intensity received by the photo-detector (2) depends on the wavelength and it is thus possible to determine this as a function of the intensity.
