Abstract

Método para revestir con pigmento una zona parcial formada en un fotoconductor con una densidad de imágen predeterminada que evita la dispersión de cualquier pigmento líquido o de cualquier líquido portador más allá de la zona parcial que ha de ser revestida con pigmento y que es capaz de secarse rápidamente, que incluye las etapas que consisten en: proveer un fotoconductor dispuesto sobre un sustrato conductor que tiene en él por lo menos una zona parcial que ha de ser revestida con pigmento; proveer un elemento portador que tiene una capa conductora; depositar electrostáticamente pigmento líquido sobre dicho elemento portador para formar en él un pre-depósito de pigmento de densidad deseada en una zona que corresponde sustancialmente a dicha zona parcial que ha de ser revestida sobre dicho fotoconductor; poner en contacto directo pre-depósito de pigmento situado en dicho elemento portador con dicha zona parcial de dicho fotoconductor; revestir con pigmento dicha zona parcial formada en dicho fotoconductor mediante la transferencia de pigmento a ella a partir de dicho pre-depósito de pigmento de tal manera que la cantidad de líquido transferida a dicho fotoconductor sea mínima y pueda ser eliminada del mismo sin afectar el depósito de pigmento sobre dicho fotoconductor.
