Claims (10)
- Upper receiver (1) for a firearm, comprising a supporting part (2) made of metal, which supports a barrel bushing (4) for receiving a barrel, a guide (6) for a longitudinally movable breech carrier (7), and an anchor (8) for a sight, characterized in that the upper receiver (1) comprises a rail block (5) and that the guide (6) for the breech carrier (7) is formed on the underside of the rail block (5) made of metal which has the anchor (8) for the sight on its upper side, the supporting part (2) being screwed both to the barrel bushing (4) and to the rail block (5).
- Upper receiver according to claim 1, characterized in that the supporting part (2) is formed by two receiver halves (3', 3") made of metal, which receive the barrel bushing (4) and the rail block (5) therebetween, the upper side of the rail block (5) being exposed, and said receiver halves (3', 3") each being screwed to the barrel bushing (4) and the rail block (5).

- Upper receiver according to claim 3, characterized in that the rail block (5) and the barrel bushing (4) have aligning holes (32, 33) in their overlap region, into which holes a locating pin (34) is inserted.
- Upper receiver according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the anchor (8) comprises at least one dovetail guide for a Picatinny rail for detachably mounting the sight.
- Upper receiver according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the supporting part (2) comprises a sliding guide (35) for a control pin (26) of a breech that is movable in the breech carrier (7).
- Upper receiver according to claim 6, characterized in that the sliding guide (35) is reinforced by a reinforcing rail (37), which is made of a material that is different from the metal of the supporting part (2), preferably made of steel.
- Upper receiver according to claims 2 and 7, characterized in that the reinforcing rail (37) is screwed to the inside of a receiver half (3').
- Upper receiver according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the supporting part (2) is made of light metal, preferably aluminum.
