Description

The present invention relates to a sliding door fitting with a running rail formed from at least two rail parts, on which at least two raceways for rollers and / or sliding elements of a running part are formed for moving a sliding door, a butt connector being arranged between the at least two rail parts, with a separating plane of the at least two rail parts in the area of the butt connector run at an angle of at least 10° perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the running rail, and a method for assembling a sliding door fitting according to the preamble of claim 12.

The EP 2 815 136 B1 discloses a sliding door fitting with two profiles arranged on the front side at a joint, which are supported via a profile connector to ensure precise alignment of the profiles. The profile connector engages under the two adjacent raceways on the profiles. When driving over the joint of the profiles, slight unevenness may occur, which can be felt when moving the sliding door. In addition, the profile connector is only suitable for profiles with raceways arranged next to each other.

GB1,046,950 discloses a connection for adjacent sections of a guide rail for a sliding door with a U-shaped cross section. A separating plane of the two rail sections is arranged at an oblique angle in the area of a butt connector, so that the butt connector engages under areas of the rail sections that are offset in the longitudinal direction.

It is therefore the object of the present invention to create a sliding door fitting and a method for assembling a sliding door fitting, which enable a sliding door to move with high smoothness and also ensure simple assembly.

This task is achieved with a sliding door fitting with the features of claim 1 and a method with the features of claim 12.

The sliding door fitting according to the invention comprises at least two rail parts, which together form a running rail and in which a parting plane in the area of the butt connector runs at an angle of at least 10 ° perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the running rail. The alignment of the parting plane, which is not perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the running rail, but at an angle to it, results in a better transition when a roller and/or a sliding element passes over the joint area, since the roller and/or the sliding element are in an area of the parting plane can be supported on the two rail parts at the same time and does not move abruptly from one rail part to the other rail part. This prevents the track from lowering slightly under a weight load and then creating a step in the rail part that is not yet loaded. Rather, the weight load is continuously transferred from one rail part to the other rail part.

Preferably, the parting plane between the rail parts is aligned at an angle between 30° to 60° to the longitudinal direction of the running rail, in particular essentially 45°. The parting plane can be formed by a cutting edge on the two rail parts, which does not run perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, but at an angle, whereby the two rail parts can be arranged in the joint area essentially without a gap.

In a preferred embodiment, the butt connector supports the two rail parts in the area adjacent to the parting plane. The butt connector can have a first support part and a second support part, which are connected to one another, in particular screwed together. The two supporting parts of the butt connector can therefore be mounted individually and thus optimally adapted to the geometry of the rail parts.

According to the invention, the two rail parts have a recess in the area of the butt connector, which is penetrated by a support part of the butt connector. The recess is arranged below a raceway, so that the raceway is supported via the inserted support part.

The running rail preferably comprises two raceways arranged vertically one above the other, with a first support part of the butt connector supporting a first raceway and a second support part of the butt connector supporting a second raceway. The running rail with the two rail parts can be made from a bent sheet steel, which is deformable to a certain extent or from drawn profile elements made of metal alloys, in particular aluminum alloys.

The sliding door fitting is preferably used in a piece of furniture that has a furniture body and at least one sliding door, which is movably held on the furniture body via at least one running part. The rail parts and the butt connector can be fixed to the top floor, with the butt connector preferably being fixed to an underside of the top floor of the furniture body, so that it is arranged concealed behind the running rail.

For stable support of the rail parts, they can have a support web that is fixed to an upper side of the top floor.

For effective assembly, a rail part and a butt connector can be fixed to the top panel at the same time using a threaded sleeve and a screw. Optionally, a first support part and a second support part of the butt connector can pass through the threaded sleeve and the screw, so that in addition to a rail part, the two support parts of the butt connector can also be clamped to the top floor via the threaded sleeve and the screw. Alternatively, a nut, a threaded plate or a cut thread in the butt connector can be used as a counter thread instead of the threaded sleeve.

For an improved transition in the joint area, a support line or support surface of a roller or a sliding element on the track can be aligned at an oblique angle to a parting plane of the at least two rail parts, in particular at an angle between 30° to 60°. This inevitably means that when the sliding door is moved, the roller and/or the sliding element also moves at an oblique angle to the parting plane with regard to their direction of travel. This ensures that the support line or support surface of the roller and/or the sliding element on the raceways does not run parallel to the parting plane under any circumstances. This ensures that part of the support line or support surface has already reached the next rail part of the running rail when passing a joint area, while another part of the support line or support surface is still on the previous rail part of the running rail. This means that even in a case where there should be a slight gap in the joint area, smooth running over the rail joint can be achieved.

In the method according to the invention for mounting a sliding door fitting on a top floor, at least one end parting plane or cutting edge is first produced on two rail parts, the at least one parting plane or cutting edge running at an angle of at least 10° perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the rail parts and the cutting edge of the first rail part can be attached to the cut edge of the second rail part. The rail parts are then leveled to eliminate curvatures, waves or other unevenness. Then a first rail part and a second rail part are fixed to a top floor. In addition, a first support part of a butt connector is positioned on the two rail parts on the top floor, whereby the order of the aforementioned assembly steps can be chosen arbitrarily. Furthermore, a second support part of the butt connector is positioned on the first support part in order to then fix, in particular screw, the first and second support parts to the top floor. This allows sliding door fittings to be installed effectively.

According to the invention, each rail part has a recess, with the second support part being inserted through a recess on the first rail part and the second rail part for assembly. As a result, an upper raceway can be supported in a simple manner via the second support part.

A piece of furniture 1 comprises a cabinet-shaped furniture body 2, on which one or more sliding doors 3 are movably mounted. For this purpose, a running rail 5 is fixed to a top shelf 4 and a further guide rail 6 is also fixed to a bottom of the furniture body 2.

The running rail 5 has two raceways 7 and 8, on each of which rollers 31 of a running part 30 of a sliding door can be moved. In the exemplary embodiment shown, two raceways 7 and 8 arranged vertically one above the other are provided on the running rail 5, although more than two raceways 7 and 8 can also be provided or the rollers 31 can be supplemented or replaced by sliding elements.

The running rail 5 is not formed in one piece, but comprises according to Figures 2A and 2B at least two rail parts 5a and 5b, which rest against one another on the front side at a parting plane 50, preferably essentially without a gap, the parting plane 50 not being aligned perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the running rail 5, but at an angle, in particular at an angle between 30 to 60 °, preferably in Essentially 45°. The parting plane 50 also extends through the raceways 7 and 8, so that a support line of the roller 31 does not impact abruptly from one rail part 5a to the other rail part 5b when passing over the impact area, but rather the weight of the weight force in the impact area over a certain distance in the longitudinal direction the roller 31 is guided from one rail part 5a to the other rail part 5b.

In the Figures 3A to 3C The sliding door fitting is shown during assembly. A first rail part 5a is positioned on the top floor 4 and has a support web 22 on which at least one opening 23 is provided for fasteners. On a vertical section of the two rail parts 5a and 5b, two raceways 7 and 8 projecting towards the front are formed, which are arranged vertically one above the other.

In order to support the rail parts 5a and 5b in the joint area, a joint connector 10 is provided, which has a first support part 11 and a second support part 12. The first support part 11 includes a support web 13, which supports the two rail parts 5a and 5b in the joint area under the lower raceway 8 and thus supports it against deformation. The first support part 11 is arranged with a vertical section on the back of the two rail parts 5a and 5b and an end mounting web 15 is angled, which can be placed on an underside of the top floor 4. A downwardly shaped embossing is formed on the mounting web 15, in which an opening 16 is provided for fasteners. This opening 16 can be aligned with an opening 20 in the top floor 4 in order to fix the support part 11.

The butt connector 10 includes a second support part 12, which is manufactured separately from the first support part 11 and serves to support the upper raceway 7. The second support part 12 is inserted into a slot-shaped recess 14 on the first support part 11, with a part of the second support part 12 protruding forward from the first support part 11 and supporting the upper raceway 7 against downward bending. An opening 17 for fasteners is formed on the second support part 12, which can be aligned with the opening 16 on the first support part 11.

In the two rail parts 5a and 5b, a recess 21 is made below the track 7, through which the second support part 12 can be inserted. This results in a very compact design of the running rail 5 with the tracks 7 and 8 arranged vertically one above the other, which are arranged essentially in the same vertical plane and can be effectively supported on the top floor 4 via the butt connector 10 with a small size.

The assembly of the sliding door fitting on a top panel 4 is described below. How Figure 4 shows, one of the two rail parts 5a or 5b is first positioned on the top floor 4 and fixed using fasteners. A second rail part 5a or 5b is then positioned on the top floor 4 so that the two rail parts 5a and 5b rest against one another on the front side. The parting plane 50 between the two rail parts 5a and 5b is angled, preferably at an angle between 30 and 60° to the longitudinal direction of the running rail 5. The second rail part 5a or 5b can also be fixed to the top floor 4 using fasteners.

In the Figures 6A and 6B the assembly of the butt connector 10 is shown. To assemble the butt connector, the first support part 11 is positioned on a back of the rail parts 5a and 5b in the joint area so that the Support web 13 can support the raceway 8. In addition, the second support part 12 is inserted through the recesses 21 in the two rail parts 5a and 5b and pushed through the recess 14 in the vertical web of the first support part 11 until the opening 17 in the second support part 12 reaches the opening 16 on the mounting web 15 flees. Then the butt connector 10 is fixed to the top panel 4, with a screw 18 being inserted on the underside and a threaded sleeve 19 on the top side, which are screwed together. Alternatively, the screw 18 can be inserted from above and the threaded sleeve 19 from below, or the threaded sleeve 19 can be replaced by a thread in the opening 16 in order to support the two support parts 11 and 12 of the butt connector 10 and additionally also an upper support web 22 of one of the rail parts 5a or 5b to fix to the top floor 4.

In the Figures 8A to 8C a modified embodiment of a butt connector 10' is shown, which can be mounted in the joint area to support the rail parts 5a and 5b on the top floor 4. The first support part 11' of the butt connector 10' can be positioned on an underside of the top floor 4 via the mounting web 15 and fixed there. On the underside of the first support part 11 there is no support web bent at a right angle, but rather an arcuate support web 13 ', which at least partially accommodates a lower end of the rail parts 5a and 5b. As a result, the butt connector 10' can ensure improved support via the support web 13', since the support web 13' is adapted to the contour of the running rail 5 in the lower region.

The butt connector 10' further comprises a modified second support part 12', which is essentially plate-shaped and can be mounted through the slot-shaped recess 14 on the first support part 11' as in the previous exemplary embodiment. On the side facing the running rail 5, the second support part 12 'has an upwardly curved support web 25, which is adapted to the contour of the underside of the running track 7. As a result, the raceway 7 can also be better supported by the curved support web 25. The modified butt connector 10' is assembled as in the previous exemplary embodiment.

The running rail 5 is shown with only two rail parts 5a and 5b, but can also include three or more rail parts.
