Definitions
- the invention relates to a flame bowl.
- Flame bowls are primarily used to provide a cozy atmosphere. These have a bowl in which a flame is generated. Such flame bowls are addressed, as they often provide a flame image in the manner of a torch, also as fire bowls.
- flame bowls in which the flames are generated by burning wood, wax or other fuels, flame bowls are also known which have a burner that is connected to a fuel supply. In many cases, the flame generation, for example the burner, is blinded by lava stones, ceramic molded parts, and sometimes wood logs with regard to their shape. These are located in the center of the shell.
- the flame-generating agent not only veneer the flame-generating agent, but also spread the flame pattern over a larger area, so that the flames lick out over a larger area from these parts intended for the veneer.
- the flame pattern can also be influenced by the amount of fuel supplied. In this way, however, primarily only the height of the flame image can be adjusted.
- the cozy ambience that is created with such a flame bowl lies in the flame, namely in the warm light produced by it and, above all, in the flickering and thus in the movement of the flame image.
- the size of the flame image in its height but also in its two-dimensional extension in relation to the base area of the flame is responsible for how cozy, optically comfortably warm the operation of such a flame bowl is perceived. If a larger flame pattern is desired, the flame bowl must be operated with a correspondingly higher fuel consumption.
- a topsheet for a gas hob is known.
- a burner head of a gas burner is located in a pan designed like a bowl.
- the tub is curved uniaxially.
- the side edges of the uniaxially curved reflection surface are raised and are used to set up cooking utensils.
- US 2004/0152028 A1 discloses a flameless infrared heater. This is fuel operated.
- the burner head is located inside a concave reflector.
- the energy outlet side of this heater is formed by a surface that emits IR radiation. There is no visible flame with this heater.
- FR 531 551 discloses a lamp for an automobile. This is gas-powered and has a mantle located in a reflector. A flame pattern cannot be seen in this lamp either.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of proposing such a flame bowl.
- a flame bowl for providing a cozy atmosphere comprising a burner that can be connected to a fuel supply and at least one reflector arranged laterally with respect to the flame generated by this during operation, with a surface texture for mirroring the flame to enlarge the appearance of the flame image of flames appearing for a viewer.
- a flame bowl can mean burner brackets of different geometries act. These can be rotationally symmetrical, but can also have any other floor plan geometry. In addition, it is not necessary for the flame bowl to have a bowl-like, recessed shape. Shapes are also possible in which the flame bowl has a disk-shaped basic shape or a structure pointing upwards in the center, for example a curved structure.
- the reflector used to reflect the flame is arranged radially on the outside of the burner.
- the reflector can be provided in various geometric designs.
- the reflector can have a recess designed in the manner of a bowl, in which the flame is generated, for example in the center or also outside the center of a reflector designed in this way.
- the reflector can also have a disk-shaped structure or be arched, the flame being generated by the burner in the area of the arching or also surrounding it.
- the reflector can also be located next to the flame generated by the burner.
- a burner can also be an annular burner.
- Such a flame bowl has a burner connected to a fuel supply.
- the burner is at least partially surrounded in the radial direction by a reflector, specifically by a reflector whose surface property is designed to reflect the flame generated by the burner. Due to the reflector with its reflection surface and the lateral arrangement of the same with respect to the generated flame, the flame emitted by the burner is reflected and thus the appearance of the flame - the flame image that appears to a viewer - is at least partially multiplied and thus the flame image as a whole is enlarged.
- the nature of the reflection surface of the reflector can influence the type of reflection.
- the surface of the reflector can be designed as a high-gloss, reflective surface.
- the structure of the reflection surface can be designed so that the reflection has a certain blurring or diffusivity. This does not affect a reflection of the dancing of the flame, but due to the diffusivity it can give the impression that the reflected flame image appears somewhat larger.
- the term used in the context of these explanations of the lateral arrangement of the reflector in relation to the flame generated by the burner is to be understood as an arrangement of the reflector which is arranged on the outside of the flame with respect to the center or central longitudinal axis, the reflector also being underneath the flame can be arranged.
- the reflector Due to the arrangement of the reflector, which naturally has a flat extension, the reflection of the flame can be perceived from different viewing directions and thus from different points of view by the user.
- the reflector will be designed in such a way that the flame reflection is preferably visible on its entire useful side and thus the appearance of the flame is enlarged.
- the reflector will therefore generally be arranged in a ring-like manner around the burner. The desired flame reflections can then be perceived from each side.
- the reflector at least partially surrounds the flame provided by the burner, and consequently extends around it over an angular amount.
- the reflector can completely surround the flame generated by the burner. If the reflector is designed in the manner of a shell or a shell segment and thus with a recess within which the flame is generated by the burner, its reflective surface acts due to the curvature like a concave mirror to a further enlargement of the appearing flame image.
- the burner can be arranged in the center of such a reflector, which is typically designed like a shell. An eccentric arrangement of the burner is also possible if the flame bowl should not be viewed from all circumferential directions.
- the image of the flame acting on a viewer can be influenced by the geometry of the reflector.
- This can have a continuous surface, for example a continuous curvature, in the circumferential direction and / or in the radial direction.
- the reflector can also have a small-area structuring, by means of which the reflector is subdivided into a large number of smaller reflective surfaces (reflective cells).
- this ring-cylindrical flame rim surrounds the flame generated by the burner.
- the flame rim has a relatively large diameter, that is: a diameter which corresponds to a multiple of the flame generated by the burner.
- the flame image generated by the burner is also reflected in or on such a flame enclosure.
- the reflections of the reflector can also be reflected in such a flame enclosure.
- Such a flame surround also contributes to the enlargement of the flame image acting on a viewer.
- the flame surround can be arranged in the area of the radially outer edge of the reflector. According to one embodiment, the flame surround is supported on the reflector and thus carried by the latter.
- the flame bowl If the flame bowl is to be set up or hung up on the wall, it can have a side reflector, the surface finish of which is designed to reflect the flame generated.
- the burner of such a flame bowl can be designed in the manner of such a burner as these are usually used for gas stoves.
- the burner can also have a configuration such as that for tubular burner heads that are used in gas grills. In the latter case, there is definitely the possibility that the burner or the tube forming the burner is designed in a U-shape.
- the formation of burner heads by burner tubes can be advantageous if the flame bowl has an elongated, for example rectangular, base. It goes without saying that such a flame bowl can also have several burner heads.
- a burner of such a flame bowl will preferably be operated with a gas-air mixture, so that a yellowish flame is created. This is advantageous for the torch-like effect desired by such a flame cup.
- the burner is operated in this way with a lower oxygen content than in other applications, the flame is elongated, which in turn has a positive effect on the flame image.
- the flame bowl has a lighting device with a plurality or multiplicity of individual light sources, typically as part of a light rail.
- LEDs for example, can serve as light sources.
- Such light rails are known per se. These are sometimes flexible and can therefore be easily adapted to existing geometries.
- the light emission direction of the light source rail is directed towards the reflector with its reflection surface.
- the ambience of the flame bowl can be influenced, specifically through the location of the arrangement of the light source strip and thus in relation to the light color irradiated by it and / or the light color emitted.
- the latter can change, for example if LEDs are used as light sources and these LEDs are RGB LEDs. A certain color change can also be achieved with tuneable white LEDs.
- the emitted light already influences the ambience of the flame bowl.
- the emitted light is mirrored to the extent that it strikes the reflection surface of the reflector, so that the appearance of the flame image can also be influenced in this way. This makes it possible to make the reflected flame image and thus the overall appearance of the flame image or color image appear larger. If the light color can be changed via the lighting device, an additional apparent flame movement can be generated on the reflection surface by changing the same.
- the light strip is arranged radially on the outside of the reflector, specifically at a small distance above the radially outer end of the reflector. This favors a reflection on the reflector surface in the direction of a viewer. If the reflector is designed to surround the burner as a whole, it is advisable to also provide the light strip circumferentially.
- the lighting device also generates light reflections in or on the flame surround, whereby the overall play of light or flames is intensified or enlarged again.
- a flame surround is provided, the light strip can be arranged below the underside of the typically flat end face of the flame surround, so that light emitted by the light strip is coupled into the flame surround via this end face.
- This lower end face of such a flame enclosure can also be equipped with structures coupling in light in order to be able to couple a larger luminous flux into the flame enclosure. Depending on the design of the upper end, this can be accentuated in color, for example by means of a matt finish, when the lighting device is in operation.
- the flame surround There is also the possibility of equipping the flame surround with light-directing structures for coupling out light, by means of which light is coupled out, for example, in the direction of the reflector. At these structures can be microscopic structures. Then a translucency (transparency) of such a flame surround, if designed in this form, is not impaired. This decoupled light then acts on the reflector, so that in turn the play of colors that appears for a user is influenced, typically intensified.
- such a flame bowl is located as the upper end of a fuel container.
- a separate stand or the like to hold the flame bowl is then not required. Rather, such a configuration is then a so-called stand-alone device.
- This can be designed differently in terms of its height, depending on the desired application. If such a flame bowl is to be assigned to a seating group, it is preferably left at a lower height than if the flame bowl is free-standing.
- a flame bowl as presented above with possible further developments, is thus able to provide a more intense flame image for a viewer with a low fuel consumption due to the intended reflection of the flame image in the reflector, without the flame as such having to be enlarged for this purpose, which leads to higher fuel consumption Consequence or the burner would have to be enlarged, which would also be associated with higher fuel consumption.
- this concept can be used with the mentioned further developments - individually or in combination - to further intensify the generated play of flames / light.
- Such a mist can be generated, for example, with a steam generator. Instead of thermal generation of water vapor, it is also possible to use an ultrasonic nebulizer. In this way, a water aerosol is generated. If desired, additives, for example sensory additives, can be added to this. By supplying mist, regardless of whether this is in vapor form or in atomized form as an aerosol, the flame bowl in such a configuration also serves as a dispenser of atmospheric moisture.
- a flame bowl 1 is placed on a gas cylinder container 2, thus forming its upper end.
- the gas cylinder container 2 has a door through which a gas cylinder can be inserted into the interior of the gas cylinder container 2 and also removed from it.
- the flame bowl 1 has a cylindrical bowl body 3, in the center of which a burner 4 is arranged.
- the burner 4 is of the type known per se from gas stoves. With the burner 4 is in operation the flame cup 1 generates a flame.
- a concave reflector 5 is arranged inside the shell body 3.
- the center of the reflector 5 has an opening 6 into which the burner 4 protrudes.
- the reflector 5 extends up to the side wall 7 enclosing the interior of the shell body 3.
- the flame surround 9 is a ring cylinder piece in the illustrated embodiment.
- the flame surround is translucent.
- the lower end of the flame surround 9 is located above the reflector 5 and at a distance from the upper end 10 of the circumferential side wall 7.
- the reflector 5 has a surface finish for reflecting the flame 12 generated when the burner 4 is in operation.
- the surface of the reflector 5 is shiny and brass-colored. This coloring of the reflection surface of the reflector 5 influences the color temperature of the reflected flame image.
- the structure of the flame bowl 1 is also shown in the cross section of FIG Figure 2 recognizable.
- the sectional view of the Figure 2 the spacing of the lower end of the flame surround 9 from the upper end 10 of the annular side wall 7, whereby the lower end of the flame surround 9 is also spaced from the reflector 5 accordingly.
- the reflector 5 is like from Figure 2 recognizable, curved like a concave mirror. Flames 12 emerging from burner 4 are optically mirrored on the reflective surface of reflector 5, so that the flame image that appears is correspondingly larger for a user.
- the flame bowl 1 is at a height of about 70 to 80 cm.
- the arrangement of the flame bowl 1 on the gas cylinder container 2 is therefore suitable for viewing the flame image in a standing position in particular. Since the reflector 5 surrounds the burner 4 over its entire circumferential extent, the above-described Flame reflection can be perceived from any position in relation to the circumference of the flame bowl 1.
- the flame bowl 1 of the illustrated embodiment also has a lighting device. Of this one is in Figure 2 an LED rail 11 arranged in the upper end area of the circumferential side wall 7 can be seen. The light emission direction of this LED bar 11 is directed towards the center of the shell body 3. Thus, depending on the viewing angle that a user has in relation to the reflector 5, the light emitted by the LED rail 11 is also reflected in the reflector 5.
- the burner 4 When the flame bowl 1 is in operation, the burner 4 generates a flame 12. This is reflected for an observer in the reflection surface of the reflector 5 also on the inner wall of the flame surround 9. This means that even with a relatively small flame or a correspondingly small burner, a user has the impression of a much larger flame.
- the reflection of the flame 12 in the reflector 5 and in the flame enclosure 9 is not shown.
- the flame enclosure 9 has an inner diameter which corresponds to a multiple of the diameter of the flame 12 generated by the burner 4. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the flame enclosure 9 is only slightly smaller in diameter than the diameter of the shell body 3.

Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Flammenschale. The invention relates to a flame bowl.
Flame bowls are primarily used to provide a cozy atmosphere. These have a bowl in which a flame is generated. Such flame bowls are addressed, as they often provide a flame image in the manner of a torch, also as fire bowls. In many cases, the flame generation, for example the burner, is blinded by lava stones, ceramic molded parts, and sometimes wood logs with regard to their shape. These are located in the center of the shell. These objects located in the middle of the shell not only veneer the flame-generating agent, but also spread the flame pattern over a larger area, so that the flames lick out over a larger area from these parts intended for the veneer. In the case of flame bowls that are connected to a fuel supply, for example to a gas supply, the flame pattern can also be influenced by the amount of fuel supplied. In this way, however, primarily only the height of the flame image can be adjusted.
The cozy ambience that is created with such a flame bowl lies in the flame, namely in the warm light produced by it and, above all, in the flickering and thus in the movement of the flame image. The size of the flame image in its height but also in its two-dimensional extension in relation to the base area of the flame is responsible for how cozy, optically comfortably warm the operation of such a flame bowl is perceived. If a larger flame pattern is desired, the flame bowl must be operated with a correspondingly higher fuel consumption.
Against the background described for the flame bowls discussed at the beginning for providing a cozy atmosphere, it would be desirable to have a flame bowl available with which a larger flame image can be generated without having to increase the fuel consumption.
The invention is therefore based on the object of proposing such a flame bowl.
This object is achieved according to the invention by a flame bowl for providing a cozy atmosphere comprising a burner that can be connected to a fuel supply and at least one reflector arranged laterally with respect to the flame generated by this during operation, with a surface texture for mirroring the flame to enlarge the appearance of the flame image of flames appearing for a viewer.
If a flame bowl is mentioned in the context of these explanations, this can mean burner brackets of different geometries act. The reflector used to reflect the flame is arranged radially on the outside of the burner. The reflector can be provided in various geometric designs. The reflector can have a recess designed in the manner of a bowl, in which the flame is generated, for example in the center or also outside the center of a reflector designed in this way. The reflector can also have a disk-shaped structure or be arched, the flame being generated by the burner in the area of the arching or also surrounding it. The reflector can also be located next to the flame generated by the burner. In this respect, a burner can also be an annular burner.
Such a flame bowl has a burner connected to a fuel supply. The burner is at least partially surrounded in the radial direction by a reflector, specifically by a reflector whose surface property is designed to reflect the flame generated by the burner. The nature of the reflection surface of the reflector can influence the type of reflection. The surface of the reflector can be designed as a high-gloss, reflective surface. In order to achieve a scattering, the structure of the reflection surface can be designed so that the reflection has a certain blurring or diffusivity. This does not affect a reflection of the dancing of the flame, but due to the diffusivity it can give the impression that the reflected flame image appears somewhat larger.
The term used in the context of these explanations of the lateral arrangement of the reflector in relation to the flame generated by the burner is to be understood as an arrangement of the reflector which is arranged on the outside of the flame with respect to the center or central longitudinal axis, the reflector also being underneath the flame can be arranged.
Due to the arrangement of the reflector, which naturally has a flat extension, the reflection of the flame can be perceived from different viewing directions and thus from different points of view by the user. Depending on the design of the flame bowl and its intended use, for example as a stand-alone unit or wall-mounted, the reflector will be designed in such a way that the flame reflection is preferably visible on its entire useful side and thus the appearance of the flame is enlarged. In the case of stand-alone flame bowls, the reflector will therefore generally be arranged in a ring-like manner around the burner. The desired flame reflections can then be perceived from each side.
In addition to the nature of the surface of the reflector, there is the possibility of influencing the visual appearance and thus the visual perception of the overall flame image via the coloring of the reflective surface. A reflection of the flame emitted by the burner on a brass or copper-colored surface makes the reflected flame image appear warmer and therefore more comfortable than a reflection on a chrome-colored surface. However, this can also be desired.
The reflector at least partially surrounds the flame provided by the burner, and consequently extends around it over an angular amount. The reflector can completely surround the flame generated by the burner. If the reflector is designed in the manner of a shell or a shell segment and thus with a recess within which the flame is generated by the burner, its reflective surface acts due to the curvature like a concave mirror to a further enlargement of the appearing flame image. The burner can be arranged in the center of such a reflector, which is typically designed like a shell. An eccentric arrangement of the burner is also possible if the flame bowl should not be viewed from all circumferential directions.
The image of the flame acting on a viewer can be influenced by the geometry of the reflector. This can have a continuous surface, for example a continuous curvature, in the circumferential direction and / or in the radial direction. It is also possible to form the reflector by individual reflector segments which are typically molded onto one another and adjoin one another at a certain angle. In this way, interesting reflections of the flame generated by the burner can be provided. The reflector can also have a small-area structuring, by means of which the reflector is subdivided into a large number of smaller reflective surfaces (reflective cells).
In a further development of such a flame cup, it is provided that it has a transparent or translucent flame surround. According to one embodiment, this ring-cylindrical flame rim surrounds the flame generated by the burner. The flame rim has a relatively large diameter, that is: a diameter which corresponds to a multiple of the flame generated by the burner. The flame image generated by the burner is also reflected in or on such a flame enclosure. The reflections of the reflector can also be reflected in such a flame enclosure. Thus, such a flame surround also contributes to the enlargement of the flame image acting on a viewer. The flame surround can be arranged in the area of the radially outer edge of the reflector. According to one embodiment, the flame surround is supported on the reflector and thus carried by the latter.
If the flame bowl is to be set up or hung up on the wall, it can have a side reflector, the surface finish of which is designed to reflect the flame generated.
The burner of such a flame bowl can be designed in the manner of such a burner as these are usually used for gas stoves. The burner can also have a configuration such as that for tubular burner heads that are used in gas grills. In the latter case, there is definitely the possibility that the burner or the tube forming the burner is designed in a U-shape. The formation of burner heads by burner tubes can be advantageous if the flame bowl has an elongated, for example rectangular, base. It goes without saying that such a flame bowl can also have several burner heads.
A burner of such a flame bowl will preferably be operated with a gas-air mixture, so that a yellowish flame is created. This is advantageous for the torch-like effect desired by such a flame cup. In addition, when the burner is operated in this way with a lower oxygen content than in other applications, the flame is elongated, which in turn has a positive effect on the flame image.
In another development, the flame bowl has a lighting device with a plurality or multiplicity of individual light sources, typically as part of a light rail. LEDs, for example, can serve as light sources. Such light rails are known per se. These are sometimes flexible and can therefore be easily adapted to existing geometries. The light emission direction of the light source rail is directed towards the reflector with its reflection surface. With such a lighting device, the ambience of the flame bowl can be influenced, specifically through the location of the arrangement of the light source strip and thus in relation to the light color irradiated by it and / or the light color emitted. The latter can change, for example if LEDs are used as light sources and these LEDs are RGB LEDs. A certain color change can also be achieved with tuneable white LEDs. The emitted light already influences the ambience of the flame bowl. As a result of the light emission direction at least partially directed towards the reflector, the emitted light is mirrored to the extent that it strikes the reflection surface of the reflector, so that the appearance of the flame image can also be influenced in this way. This makes it possible to make the reflected flame image and thus the overall appearance of the flame image or color image appear larger. If the light color can be changed via the lighting device, an additional apparent flame movement can be generated on the reflection surface by changing the same.
According to one exemplary embodiment, provision is made for the light strip to be arranged radially on the outside of the reflector, specifically at a small distance above the radially outer end of the reflector. This favors a reflection on the reflector surface in the direction of a viewer. If the reflector is designed to surround the burner as a whole, it is advisable to also provide the light strip circumferentially.
If the flame bowl also has a flame surround, as described above, the lighting device also generates light reflections in or on the flame surround, whereby the overall play of light or flames is intensified or enlarged again. If a flame surround is provided, the light strip can be arranged below the underside of the typically flat end face of the flame surround, so that light emitted by the light strip is coupled into the flame surround via this end face. This lower end face of such a flame enclosure can also be equipped with structures coupling in light in order to be able to couple a larger luminous flux into the flame enclosure. Depending on the design of the upper end, this can be accentuated in color, for example by means of a matt finish, when the lighting device is in operation. There is also the possibility of equipping the flame surround with light-directing structures for coupling out light, by means of which light is coupled out, for example, in the direction of the reflector. At these structures can be microscopic structures. Then a translucency (transparency) of such a flame surround, if designed in this form, is not impaired. This decoupled light then acts on the reflector, so that in turn the play of colors that appears for a user is influenced, typically intensified.
According to one embodiment, such a flame bowl is located as the upper end of a fuel container. A separate stand or the like to hold the flame bowl is then not required. Rather, such a configuration is then a so-called stand-alone device. This can be designed differently in terms of its height, depending on the desired application. If such a flame bowl is to be assigned to a seating group, it is preferably left at a lower height than if the flame bowl is free-standing.
A flame bowl, as presented above with possible further developments, is thus able to provide a more intense flame image for a viewer with a low fuel consumption due to the intended reflection of the flame image in the reflector, without the flame as such having to be enlarged for this purpose, which leads to higher fuel consumption Consequence or the burner would have to be enlarged, which would also be associated with higher fuel consumption. In a clever way, this concept can be used with the mentioned further developments - individually or in combination - to further intensify the generated play of flames / light.
An interesting optical ambience, which also contributes to the enlargement of the flame or light image, if the flame bowl has a fog generator. With such a device, mist can be introduced into the vicinity of the flame, which, through the light generated by the flame, has the effect that the latter itself glows. If the flame bowl has a flame enclosure, the generated mist will be kept within it for a certain time, without this trying to drift sideways. With such an embodiment, the dancing of the flames results in a corresponding change in brightness in the fog. The resulting effect can be enhanced if the flame bowl, as provided in one embodiment, is also equipped with a lighting device by which the fog generated is then also illuminated when the same is operated.
Such a mist can be generated, for example, with a steam generator.
