Definitions
- the present invention relates to a mullion-transom construction with two posts, between which at least one transom is arranged, wherein a roll-up curtain, in particular a cassette with a wind-up curtain, is fixed to the at least one transom, which is wound around a winding shaft between a position and an unwound position arranged downwards parallel to a filling element, wherein the at least one latch has a downwardly open receptacle into which the curtain is inserted in the wound up position and a method for mounting a cassette with a windable curtain on a post -Bar construction.
- a roll-up curtain in particular a cassette with a wind-up curtain
- the EP 2 754 843 A2 discloses a mounting arrangement for a sunshade which can be mounted on a window or a door via a carrier profile.
- the carrier profile is fixed to the underside of a frame and can therefore shade a filling element, such as an insulating glass pane.
- This construction has proven particularly useful for venetian blinds that are guided along a tensioning cable attached to a tensioning profile.
- a support profile for sun protection can be fixed to the underside of a transom, in which case the visible width is increased, which is optically disadvantageous.
- the assembly is complex, since alignment and connection of the individual parts of the sun protection is required on the construction site.
- U.S. 2019/0271155 discloses a roll-up sunshade mounted via a cassette in a cavity of a horizontal profile.
- DE 20 2015 100 168 discloses a mullion and transom construction with a facade element to which a roll-up sun protection device is attached.
- a shading means for windows is disclosed, which is guided on a lateral guide profile which is fixed to a post.
- a method for assembly a cassette with a roll-up curtain can be provided on a post-and-beam construction that allows effective assembly of the cassette.
- the at least one transom has a receptacle which is open at the bottom and in which a curtain is fixed in the wound-up position, the curtain being movable between a wound-up position and an unwound position.
- the integration of the curtain in the rolled-up position in the transom enables a narrow face width and a compact structure.
- a hollow chamber in the form of a receptacle that is open at the bottom is used for arranging the curtain, so that no protruding attachment or carrier profile with the curtain is visible.
- a cassette is preferably provided in which the rolled-up curtain is arranged. Then the cassette and drape is accommodated in the stowed position of the drape in a horizontal view of the latch within the height of the latch. In other words, the cassette with the curtain does not project upwards or downwards over the bolt in the vertical direction, but is integrated into the bolt, in particular arranged flush with the surface.
- the hanging is prestressed in the unwound direction via a drop bar.
- very thin materials can also be used for the curtain, which are stretched over the weight of the drop bar.
- the curtain is also stretched against wind loads.
- the drop bar is guided on opposite sides with a guide element in a groove-shaped guide.
- the guide element can be designed as an extension of the drop bar, for example as a pin or as a sliding element.
- the guide on the cassette is preferably designed as a curved guide with a curved guide section.
- the curved guide section can extend at least partially parallel to a circumferential direction of the winding shaft, so that the curtain is first moved in the vertical direction when being wound up and is then moved inclined or curved to the vertical in order to avoid folds forming on the curtain.
- the drop bar can be arranged in the wound-up position of the curtain in such a way that an underside of the drop bar is arranged essentially flush with an underside of the bolt. As a result, it is not visible to the user that the curtain is arranged inside the bolt.
- a groove-shaped guide for the drop bar is formed on the two posts on the side facing each other for optimized guidance of the hanging when winding and unwinding. Then the falling bar can engage in the groove-shaped guide with a guide element, in particular a guide pin.
- the curtain can be at least partially inserted with an edge in the groove-shaped guide in the unwound position, so that there are no slits through which sunlight can penetrate unfiltered.
- the drop bar can be fixed to the hanging in one or more parts.
- the curtain is preferably designed as a flexible fabric, for example as a roller blind, pleated or slatted curtain. All materials that can be rolled up, such as slats, fabrics or films, can be used that offer sun protection or a visually appealing appearance for the interior area.
- the cassette In the mounted position, the cassette preferably has on an underside a cover which can be fixed to the latch and which at least partially closes an underside of the cassette, preferably the area which is arranged adjacent to the drop bar in the wound-up position. This results in a closed appearance on the underside of the bolt due to the flat underside of the bolt, the cover and the underside of the drop bar.
- the mullion-transom construction according to the invention preferably comprises transoms and/or mullions which have an extruded aluminum profile. As a result, high loads can be carried, so that even large surface elements can be covered with the curtain.
- the mullion and transom construction can also be designed as a frame, for example as a blind or casement frame in the form of a door or a window, or as a unitised façade.
- the curtain can be arranged on an outside of the filling element for optimized sun protection.
- the cassette can be mounted on an outer side of the bolt, for example on an attachment that is attached to a pressure bar is fixed.
- the bolt is then designed in several parts and comprises a profile on the inside and an attachment part on the outside.
- the curtain can also be arranged on the inside of the filling element in the unwound position.
- the cassette can then also be located on the inside.
- the bolt can optionally be made in one piece or in several pieces, in order to form a receptacle which is open at the bottom.
- the winding shaft can be rotated by an electric drive, with a plug being provided on the cassette which is connected to a connecting plug for the electrical power supply.
- the connector plug can be provided on the post or bar so that when the cassette is assembled, the plug can be easily inserted or plugged into the connector plug in order to provide a power supply. Such insertion does not necessarily have to be carried out by an electrician, but can also be carried out by the metal worker who assembles the mullion and transom construction.
- the plug is preferably arranged on an axial end face of the cassette. This allows the cassette to be mounted in or on the connector with a pivoting motion.
- the plug can be arranged at least partially protected within the winding shaft.
- the cassette can preferably be prestressed towards the connector plug by at least one spring element.
- the spring element can be provided on the side of the cassette opposite the plug, preferably on a front wall of the cassette.
- the spring element can be designed as a compression spring, for example as a leaf spring, helical spring or spring assembly.
- the height of the cassette can be adjusted at least on one side by means of an adjustment device.
- the adjusting device comprises a holder which is fixed to one of the posts and on which an adjusting element is provided for moving an end wall of the cassette.
- the holder can be fixed to the post by means of fastening means, preferably a bolt or a screw inserted into an opening.
- fastening means preferably a bolt or a screw inserted into an opening.
- a socket for supporting the winding shaft is preferably fixed to the wall of the cassette or is formed integrally. This can over the nozzle a bearing of the winding shaft, either as a plain bearing or with a roller bearing.
- the electric drive is arranged in a protected manner within the winding shaft.
- a part of the electric drive can be held in the winding shaft in a rotationally fixed manner via the plug, while an output part of the drive rotates together with the winding shaft.
- the connecting plug is preferably fixed to a hollow chamber of one of the posts, in which a line for the electrical power supply is laid. This allows the electrical power supply, optionally also control lines, to be routed in a protected manner in the hollow chamber.
- a connecting plug is first mounted on a mullion or a transom of a mullion-transom construction.
- a plug on the cassette is then connected to the connector plug and the cassette is positioned and secured to a transom and/or post of the post and transom construction.
- a mullion and beam construction 1 comprises an upper horizontal beam 2 and a lower horizontal beam 8 which are arranged between two mullions 10 .
- the mullion and transom construction 1 can also be designed as a frame, for example as a blind or casement frame in the form of a door or a window, or as an element facade.
- the profiles of the transoms 2 and 8 and the mullions 10 can be made of aluminium, plastic, wood or a composite material.
- the bolt 2 includes a downwardly open receptacle with a cassette 3 on which a winding shaft 4 is rotatably mounted.
- a curtain 5 in particular made of a fabric, a pleated blind or some other flexible material, wound up.
- the curtain 5 is connected on the underside to a drop bar 6, which pulls the curtain 5 downwards via its weight.
- the cassette 3 is closed on the underside by a cover 7 which is fixed to the latch 2 .

It is therefore the object of the present invention to create a mullion and transom construction which, with a compact design, allows the arrangement of a curtain for the sun protection. In addition, a method for assembly a cassette with a roll-up curtain can be provided on a post-and-beam construction that allows effective assembly of the cassette.
This object is achieved with a mullion and transom construction having the features of claim 1 and a method having the features of
In the mullion-transom construction according to the invention, the at least one transom has a receptacle which is open at the bottom and in which a curtain is fixed in the wound-up position, the curtain being movable between a wound-up position and an unwound position. The integration of the curtain in the rolled-up position in the transom enables a narrow face width and a compact structure. A hollow chamber in the form of a receptacle that is open at the bottom is used for arranging the curtain, so that no protruding attachment or carrier profile with the curtain is visible.
A cassette is preferably provided in which the rolled-up curtain is arranged.
According to the invention, the hanging is prestressed in the unwound direction via a drop bar. This means that very thin materials can also be used for the curtain, which are stretched over the weight of the drop bar. In addition, when attached to the outside, the curtain is also stretched against wind loads.
The drop bar is guided on opposite sides with a guide element in a groove-shaped guide. The guide element can be designed as an extension of the drop bar, for example as a pin or as a sliding element. The guide on the cassette is preferably designed as a curved guide with a curved guide section. The curved guide section can extend at least partially parallel to a circumferential direction of the winding shaft, so that the curtain is first moved in the vertical direction when being wound up and is then moved inclined or curved to the vertical in order to avoid folds forming on the curtain.
For a visually appealing appearance, the drop bar can be arranged in the wound-up position of the curtain in such a way that an underside of the drop bar is arranged essentially flush with an underside of the bolt. As a result, it is not visible to the user that the curtain is arranged inside the bolt.
A groove-shaped guide for the drop bar is formed on the two posts on the side facing each other for optimized guidance of the hanging when winding and unwinding. Then the falling bar can engage in the groove-shaped guide with a guide element, in particular a guide pin. In addition, the curtain can be at least partially inserted with an edge in the groove-shaped guide in the unwound position, so that there are no slits through which sunlight can penetrate unfiltered. The drop bar can be fixed to the hanging in one or more parts.
The curtain is preferably designed as a flexible fabric, for example as a roller blind, pleated or slatted curtain. All materials that can be rolled up, such as slats, fabrics or films, can be used that offer sun protection or a visually appealing appearance for the interior area.
In the mounted position, the cassette preferably has on an underside a cover which can be fixed to the latch and which at least partially closes an underside of the cassette, preferably the area which is arranged adjacent to the drop bar in the wound-up position. This results in a closed appearance on the underside of the bolt due to the flat underside of the bolt, the cover and the underside of the drop bar.
The mullion-transom construction according to the invention preferably comprises transoms and/or mullions which have an extruded aluminum profile. As a result, high loads can be carried, so that even large surface elements can be covered with the curtain. The mullion and transom construction can also be designed as a frame, for example as a blind or casement frame in the form of a door or a window, or as a unitised façade.
The curtain can be arranged on an outside of the filling element for optimized sun protection. Then the cassette can be mounted on an outer side of the bolt, for example on an attachment that is attached to a pressure bar is fixed. The bolt is then designed in several parts and comprises a profile on the inside and an attachment part on the outside. Alternatively, the curtain can also be arranged on the inside of the filling element in the unwound position. The cassette can then also be located on the inside. Then the bolt can optionally be made in one piece or in several pieces, in order to form a receptacle which is open at the bottom.
According to a further mullion-and-beam construction according to the invention, the winding shaft can be rotated by an electric drive, with a plug being provided on the cassette which is connected to a connecting plug for the electrical power supply. The connector plug can be provided on the post or bar so that when the cassette is assembled, the plug can be easily inserted or plugged into the connector plug in order to provide a power supply. Such insertion does not necessarily have to be carried out by an electrician, but can also be carried out by the metal worker who assembles the mullion and transom construction.
The plug is preferably arranged on an axial end face of the cassette. This allows the cassette to be mounted in or on the connector with a pivoting motion. The plug can be arranged at least partially protected within the winding shaft. The cassette can preferably be prestressed towards the connector plug by at least one spring element. The spring element can be provided on the side of the cassette opposite the plug, preferably on a front wall of the cassette. The spring element can be designed as a compression spring, for example as a leaf spring, helical spring or spring assembly.
In a preferred embodiment, the height of the cassette can be adjusted at least on one side by means of an adjustment device. This allows tolerances to be compensated during assembly. The adjusting device comprises a holder which is fixed to one of the posts and on which an adjusting element is provided for moving an end wall of the cassette. The holder can be fixed to the post by means of fastening means, preferably a bolt or a screw inserted into an opening. As a result, a height adjustment between the holder and the cassette can be effected via an adjustment element, for example an adjustment screw, an eccentric or a worm. A socket for supporting the winding shaft is preferably fixed to the wall of the cassette or is formed integrally. This can over the nozzle a bearing of the winding shaft, either as a plain bearing or with a roller bearing.
In a further refinement, the electric drive is arranged in a protected manner within the winding shaft. A part of the electric drive can be held in the winding shaft in a rotationally fixed manner via the plug, while an output part of the drive rotates together with the winding shaft.
The connecting plug is preferably fixed to a hollow chamber of one of the posts, in which a line for the electrical power supply is laid. This allows the electrical power supply, optionally also control lines, to be routed in a protected manner in the hollow chamber.
In a method according to the invention for mounting a cassette with a roll-up curtain on a mullion-transom construction as described in
