Definitions
- the invention relates to a trough for use in a card card.
- the card has an inlet side for fiber flakes, which are fed to a pre-drum and dissolved and aligned down to the individual fibers, with a first layer of fiber web being transferred to a transfer roller by means of an upper take-off roller and then onto a drum, with a second layer of fiber web being transferred by means of a lower one Take-off roller is transferred to a transfer roller and then onto the reel, with at least one layer of fiber web being removed from an outlet side of the card by means of at least one take-off roller for further processing.
- the invention further relates to an associated card.
- the fleece produced from this generally consists of fibers that are aligned in a certain direction, which can be specified, for example, by the machine direction (MD). These fleeces have a high strength in the longitudinal direction, but only low in the cross direction (CD).
- the longitudinal orientation of the fibers can be counteracted by, for example, influencing the gaps between the drum and the worker rollers, or by compressing the fleece emerging from the drum at different working speeds.
- an upsetting process increases the basis weight of the fleece produced and thus reduces the production speed of the system because the length of the fiber web produced decreases.
- the classic card has a drum from which the fiber pile is removed in one or two places.
- cards with a pre-drum pre-drum
- the pre-drum has a smaller diameter than the drum. Also when transferring the fiber web from There are clear differences between the pre-drum and the reel, since the fiber web can be transferred using one or two transfer rollers, which then also have different diameters according to the prior art.
- the EP 0188177 B1 describes a double card with a small diameter pre-drum and a large reel, with the fiber web being transferred from the pre-drum to the reel with two intermediate pickups of different diameters (double transfer).
- An increase in performance could not be achieved because the intermediate customers could not completely remove the fiber web from the pre-drum. This results in fiber retention of up to 35%, which puts additional strain on the pre-drum during carding.
- the DE 3643304 C1 discloses a card with an air guide box that completely surrounds the work rolls and with which the air flow within the card can be influenced. Troughs are arranged between the work rolls, with which transfer areas and storage areas are created for the fibers.
- a trough for a card with two flat and two adjacent concave surfaces is disclosed. All surfaces are firmly connected to each other, so that the distances between the outer surfaces cannot be adjusted. Only the overall contour of the trough can be changed through the adjustability, i.e. the bending or deformation over the length. If the device arranged within the trough is actuated, the distance between an individual surface and the roller can change, but the distance to the opposite surface always remains the same. This means that a change in distance (e.g. reduction) on a concave surface inevitably causes a change in distance (e.g. increase) on the opposite outer surface.
- the assembly of the card is very complex, since all gaps between the rollers and the fiber guide elements must be constant over the entire width, which can be up to 5 m.
- the rollers in or with their bearings on the carding frame were adjusted.
- the associated ones Troughs or fiber guide elements were adapted to the assembled rolls in terms of production technology, although exact readjustment on the card was only possible with troughs with two roll gaps.
- the object of the invention is to create an adjustable trough for a card that can guide the fibers between four rollers.
- the trough according to the invention for use in a card card extends continuously over the working width of the card card and has three concave areas which, together with associated rollers of the card card, can form a gap for guiding the fiber web.
- the trough according to the invention has a fourth concave region which can form an adjustable gap to a fourth roller of the card. By adjusting the gap to a fourth roller of the card, assembly can be simplified and an even gap can be set on all four rollers.
- the trough has a first and a second segment, the second segment having a device for adjusting the gap to the fourth roller.
- the segments are flexibly connected to each other and have a parting line. The division into separate segments enables simple production and very precise adjustability of the trough.
- the first segment with which the gap is formed with three rollers is adjustable and attached to a machine housing or frame of the card.
- This trough segment is mounted between three rollers and set with an even gap.
- the second segment with which the gap to the fourth roller is formed, is attached to a machine housing or frame of the card in an adjustable manner separately from the first segment. Together, both segments form a complete trough that can be adjusted to four rollers.
- the second segment at least partially forms a gap for guiding the fiber web with two further rollers.
- the contour of two concave areas therefore has an interruption due to an assembly gap in the trough, but the fiber web is still guided continuously in the gap.
- a card 1 is shown, which is designed as a card with double transfer and has an inlet side 1a for fiber flakes and one or more outlet sides 1b for fiber web 20.
- a feeder is arranged in front of the inlet side 1a of the card 1, for example a vibrating shaft feeder, with which the fiber flakes are deposited onto a conveyor belt, not shown.
- the card 1 can also be equipped with a card feeder with integrated fleece thickness measurement, in which the weight is determined via the fleece thickness measurement, or the fiber flakes are fed to the card 1 by means of a direct feed.
- the fiber flakes are fed to the inlet side 1a of the system and fed via rollers 2, 3 to a pre-drum 4, in which the fiber flakes are dissolved and aligned in a first stage down to the individual fibers.
- a pre-drum 4 in which the fiber flakes are dissolved and aligned in a first stage down to the individual fibers.
- turning and worker rollers 5, 6 hold the fibers on the pre-drum 4, so that a first fiber web 20 is formed.
- a layer of the fiber web is removed from the pre-drum 4 by a first upper take-off roller 7 and fed to the reel 11 via an upper transfer roller 9.
- a second layer of fiber web is removed from the pre-drum 4 by a second lower take-off roller 8 and transferred to the reel 11 by a lower transfer roller 10.
- the further dissolution and alignment of the fiber flakes into a fiber web takes place on the reel 11, with turning and worker rollers 5, 6 holding the fibers on the reel 11 so that a fiber web 20 is formed.
- the fiber pile 20 is deposited on two conveyor belts 17 by means of two take-off rollers 14, upsetting rollers 15 and transfer rollers 16 and subsequently combined and further processed into a single fiber web in an outlet side 1b.
- the drum 11 rotates clockwise (right) and transfers the fiber web 20 produced to an upper and a lower counter-rotating (left) take-off roller 14. So that the fiber web 20 can be transferred from the drum 11 to the take-off rollers 14, between drum 11 and take-off rollers 14 have a very small gap.
- the surface of the take-off rollers 14 is designed in such a way that a positive connection can occur between the roller surface and the fibers to be transferred.
- the take-off rollers 14 are followed by one or more compression rollers 15, 15 ', as well as a take-off unit in the form of a rotating conveyor belt 17, which can optionally be equipped with one or more transfer rollers 16.
- Card 1 shown is equipped with a lower and an upper take-off unit and can therefore produce two separate layers of fiber web 20. It is of course also possible to equip the card 1 with just one or more than two take-off units.
- another roller can be arranged between the drum 11 and the take-off rollers 14, which can be designed as a confused roller. Due to their peripheral speed, direction of rotation and tooth position, the tangled rollers create a special tangled layer in the fiber web 20, which is compressed and reoriented by the subsequent take-off and compression rollers 14, 15, 15 '.
- the transfer rollers 9, 10 have been enlarged and both have the same diameter and are operated at the same speed.
- the transfer rollers 9, 10 preferably have a diameter of at least 380 mm, particularly preferably at least 400 mm. Because both of them If transfer rollers have the same diameter, they also transfer the same amount of fibrous web. Operating both transfer rollers 9, 10 at the same speed ensures the same delay when the fiber web is transferred to the drum 11.
- the upper take-off roller 7 has a smaller diameter than the lower take-off roller 8, with both being operated at the same peripheral speed.
- the lower take-off roller 8 has a diameter that is approximately 50% larger than the upper take-off roller 7.
- both take-off rollers 7, 8 have the same peripheral speed. Due to the diameter relationship between the upper 7 and the lower take-off roller 8, the fiber storage on the pre-drum 4 can be reduced.
- the lower take-off roller 8 has a diameter of at least 650 mm
- the upper take-off roller 7 has a diameter of at least 450 mm.
- the pre-drum 4 preferably has at least the same diameter as the drum, with the drum 11 being able to be operated at the same or a higher peripheral speed. Increasing the diameter of the pre-drum 4 to at least the diameter of the drum 11 makes it possible to create the space with the least amount of construction effort, whereby the transfer rollers 9, 10 can be enlarged in order to operate them at a lower peripheral speed.
- both take-off rollers 7, 8 have a significantly lower peripheral speed than the pre-drum 4, there is a uniform compression in every layer of the fiber web.
- the fiber web is stretched again, since the transfer rollers 9, 10 have a higher peripheral speed.
- the transfer rollers 9, 10 also have the same diameter. Due to the same peripheral speed of the take-off rollers 7, 8 and the same peripheral speed of the transfer rollers 9, 10, both layers of fiber web are stretched equally. A further stretching of the fiber web occurs when it is transferred from the transfer rollers 9, 10 to the reel 11, the peripheral speeds of the transfer rollers 9, 10 being the same, but the peripheral speed of the reel 11 having at least three times the value.
- the individual layers of fiber web are then further mixed by the turning and worker rollers 6, 7 on the drum 11 and the fibers are dissolved and aligned into a fiber web 20.
- the fiber web is removed from the drum 11 by two take-off rollers 14 with the same diameter and the same speed.
- the take-off rollers 7, 8 have the same speed and the transfer rollers 9, 10 also have the same speed If the circumferential speed is operated, the same distortion or compression always occurs for both layers of fiber web.
- Increasing the roller diameter of the transfer rollers 9, 10 enables operation at a lower peripheral speed, as a result of which the centrifugal forces acting on the fiber web are lower than in the prior art.
- the card can be operated with higher productivity with high carding quality.
- the transfer of the two layers of fiber web 20 from the transfer rollers 9, 10 to the drum 11 is facilitated by a trough 12 chambering the transfer points of the fiber web on four rollers and thus holding the fiber web on the rollers.
- the transfer area from the lower take-off roller 8 to the transfer roller 10, from the transfer roller 10 to the drum 11 and from the transfer roller 9 to the drum 11 are hereby chambered, whereby the layers of fiber web are guided precisely.
- the trough 12 thus has four concave curves which engage in the outer circumference of the take-off roller 8, the two transfer rollers 9, 10 and the drum 11.
- the free gap for the fiber web to pass through must be kept very narrow, since this card is intended to produce particularly light fiber webs at high speed.
- the manufacturing and assembly tolerances of the rollers are crucial for the carding quality, especially because the trough gaps should be constant over a working width of, for example, 5 m.
- the trough 12 has an adjustable segment 12b on the connection side to the drum, with which the contact angle and distance to the drum 11 can be adjusted.
- Figure 2 shows a detailed representation of the trough 12, which consists of a fixed segment 12a and at least one adjustable segment 12b. Both segments 12a, 12b are flexibly connected to one another and have a parting line 12c.
- the fixed segment 12a is on a housing or frame, not shown, between the lower take-off roller 8, the upper transfer roller 9 and the lower transfer roller 10 by means one or more fasteners 30 arranged.
- the distance between the segment 12a and the rollers 8, 9 and 10 in the vertical and horizontal directions can be adjusted via various adjusting elements 31, so that a constant gap is created between each roller 8, 9, 10 and the segment 12a, the gap sizes being between, for example the transfer roller 9 and the segment 12a can be set smaller than between the take-off roller 8 and the segment 12a.
- An adjustable segment 12b is connected to a fastening 32, the fastening 32 also being arranged on a machine housing or frame, not shown, in the area of the drum 11.
- This attachment 32 can also be adjusted vertically and horizontally at a distance from the drum 11 using adjusting elements 33.
- the adjustable segment 12b forms the trough gap to the drum 11, as well as a partial gap to the transfer rollers 9 and 10.
- a constant gap of, for example, 1.5 mm to 5 mm can be set between the segment 12b and the drum 11 over the working width.
- the gaps between the segment 12a and the rollers 8, 9 or 10 can be set differently to a size of 2 mm to 9 mm.

Description
The invention relates to a trough for use in a card card. The card has an inlet side for fiber flakes, which are fed to a pre-drum and dissolved and aligned down to the individual fibers, with a first layer of fiber web being transferred to a transfer roller by means of an upper take-off roller and then onto a drum, with a second layer of fiber web being transferred by means of a lower one Take-off roller is transferred to a transfer roller and then onto the reel, with at least one layer of fiber web being removed from an outlet side of the card by means of at least one take-off roller for further processing. The invention further relates to an associated card.
On carding machines, fiber flakes are broken down down to the individual fibers. The fleece produced from this generally consists of fibers that are aligned in a certain direction, which can be specified, for example, by the machine direction (MD). These fleeces have a high strength in the longitudinal direction, but only low in the cross direction (CD). The longitudinal orientation of the fibers can be counteracted by, for example, influencing the gaps between the drum and the worker rollers, or by compressing the fleece emerging from the drum at different working speeds. However, an upsetting process increases the basis weight of the fleece produced and thus reduces the production speed of the system because the length of the fiber web produced decreases.
The classic card has a drum from which the fiber pile is removed in one or two places. In order to increase the dissolution of the fiber masses, cards with a pre-drum (pre-drum) are known, which are also equipped with worker and turning rollers and can increase the carding performance at the same speed. The pre-drum has a smaller diameter than the drum. Also when transferring the fiber web from There are clear differences between the pre-drum and the reel, since the fiber web can be transferred using one or two transfer rollers, which then also have different diameters according to the prior art.

According to the state of the art, the assembly of the card is very complex, since all gaps between the rollers and the fiber guide elements must be constant over the entire width, which can be up to 5 m. For this purpose, the rollers in or with their bearings on the carding frame were adjusted. The associated ones Troughs or fiber guide elements were adapted to the assembled rolls in terms of production technology, although exact readjustment on the card was only possible with troughs with two roll gaps.
The object of the invention is to create an adjustable trough for a card that can guide the fibers between four rollers.
The invention solves the problem set by the teaching according to
The trough according to the invention for use in a card card extends continuously over the working width of the card card and has three concave areas which, together with associated rollers of the card card, can form a gap for guiding the fiber web. The trough according to the invention has a fourth concave region which can form an adjustable gap to a fourth roller of the card. By adjusting the gap to a fourth roller of the card, assembly can be simplified and an even gap can be set on all four rollers. The trough has a first and a second segment, the second segment having a device for adjusting the gap to the fourth roller. The segments are flexibly connected to each other and have a parting line. The division into separate segments enables simple production and very precise adjustability of the trough.
The first segment with which the gap is formed with three rollers is adjustable and attached to a machine housing or frame of the card. This trough segment is mounted between three rollers and set with an even gap.
The second segment, with which the gap to the fourth roller is formed, is attached to a machine housing or frame of the card in an adjustable manner separately from the first segment. Together, both segments form a complete trough that can be adjusted to four rollers. The second segment at least partially forms a gap for guiding the fiber web with two further rollers. The contour of two concave areas therefore has an interruption due to an assembly gap in the trough, but the fiber web is still guided continuously in the gap.

In
The
Due to the diameter increase to at least 350 mm, the peripheral speed decreases and thus the centrifugal forces on the fibers decrease, which reduces fiber flight. The
In order to create space for
The
Because both take-off
When the fiber web is transferred from the take-off
In the exemplary embodiment, the fiber web is removed from the
Because the take-off
The transfer of the two layers of
With the
