Description

    Field of the invention
  • The present invention relates to a thermal umbrella developed to combine the comfort of a sunshade and a temperature control element into a single device, such that two are integrated into one device.
  • Background of the invention
  • The umbrellas known in the state of the art are items that only protect users against the direct impact of a weather phenomenon. For this reason, if an umbrella is used to protect the user from the sun's rays, then it will only serve to protect the user from said rays, while if it is used to protect users from rain or snow, then it will only serve to provide shelter against the rain or snow.
  • This way, a user who is under an umbrella may be exposed to high temperatures or very low temperatures, which reduces the time during which such umbrella is used.
  • Heaters that provide heat on terraces and other similar enclosed sites are also known, which usually work by burning gas from a cylinder that is located at the bottom. Nevertheless, they usually occupy too much space and provide too much heat.
  • However, there is no other known item having the advantages of providing protection against inclement weather along with the possibility of offering some kind of improvement in terms of temperature control, either by providing heat in the winter or moving air in the summer.
  • Description of the invention
  • The object of the invention is a thermal umbrella comprising a hollow tube with one end where a sunshade is located which houses a diffuser, and a hollow base housing a turbine at the other end, wherein the turbine is configured to absorb air and propel it through the inside of the hollow tube and towards the diffuser of the sunshade.
  • The thermal umbrella object of the invention comprises an anchor between the diffuser and the sunshade, such that the anchor provides relative movement to the diffuser with respect to the sunshade.
  • The thermal umbrella object of the invention comprises a resistor inside the hollow tube, such that the resistor heats the air as it passes through the inside of the hollow tube.
  • The thermal umbrella object of the invention comprises a cable connected to a connection box located between the weight and the hollow base, such that the cable is configured to connect to the mains power supply and provide power to both the turbine and the resistor.
  • In another embodiment, the thermal umbrella object of the invention comprises solar panels on the outside of the umbrella and a battery, such that the solar panels power the battery and wherein the battery is responsible for providing power to rotate the turbine and power the resistor.
  • Brief description of the drawings
  • To supplement the description made below and in order to aid a better understanding of the features of the invention, a set of drawings has been attached to this specification based on which the innovations and advantages of the umbrella object of the invention can be more easily understood.

    Detailed description of the invention
  • The object of the invention is a thermal umbrella comprising a hollow tube (4) with one end where a sunshade (7) is located, and a hollow base (3) housing a turbine (9) therein at the other end.
  • Next to the hollow base (3), the umbrella object of the invention is provided with a weight (1), which is the element through which the umbrella rests on the ground.
  • In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the diameter of the hollow base (3) is larger than the hollow tube (4). The weight (1) located next to the hollow base (3) has the shape of a disc and the same diameter as the hollow base (3), such that the weight (1) and the turbine (9) also provide stability to the umbrella on the ground.
  • The turbine (9) housed inside the hollow base (3) is configured to absorb air through the hollow base (3), and after making it pass through filters, direct it through the inside of the hollow tube (4) until the air leaves the hollow tube (4) through the end where the sunshade (7) is located, such that at the outlet it arrives at a diffuser (5) located inside the sunshade (7) causing it to move downwards straight towards the ground, due to which the air finally ends up reaching the users of the thermal umbrella object of the invention who are located under the sunshade (7).
  • To accommodate the diffuser (5) inside the sunshade (7), at the end of the hollow tube (4) between the diffuser (5) and the sunshade (7) itself, the umbrella object of the invention comprises an anchor (6) in the embodiment in which the diffuser (5) moves with respect to the sunshade (7), and there is also the option where there is no relative movement between the diffuser (5) and the sunshade (7).
  • If required, the umbrella object of the invention has a resistor (8) inside the hollow tube (4), which heats the air that passes through the inside of the hollow tube (4) propelled by the turbine (9). Thus, the umbrella object of the invention can heat the air that is blown against the inside of the sunshade (7) or it can blow the air without providing heat, which comes out at the temperature that is absorbed by the hollow base (3).
  • The umbrella object of the invention is connected to the mains power supply by means of a cable (10) connected to a connection box (2) located between the weight (1) and the hollow base (3), such that this connection provides power to both the turbine (9) and the resistor (8).
  • In an alternative embodiment of the thermal umbrella object of the invention, the umbrella has solar panels (11) housed on the outside of the umbrella, such that the solar panels (11) power a battery (12), which in this embodiment is housed inside the hollow base (3), such that the battery (12) is responsible for providing power to move the turbine (9) and power the resistor (8).
