Description

The present invention relates to a carton with a foldable insulating container in its carton interior, in particular a folding carton.

The invention is based on cardboard boxes, in particular folding boxes, on the inside of which insulating material is fixed. The insulating material can be laminated, glued on or fixed in any other way. Since these cardboard boxes have folds and / or gaps for folding, the insulation is partially interrupted. These interruptions can cause heat to penetrate the inside of the box and thus impair the insulating effect of the box.

From the WO 2011/017793 A1 a cardboard box with improved insulation is known. The carton consists of an outer carton on the one hand and a lining made of insulating material placed in the interior of this carton on the other hand. The lining is in turn designed in the manner of a folding box with layers of insulating material laminated onto cardboard or cellulose material on both sides.

Based on this, the invention is based on the object of realizing an improved cardboard box with insulation.

This object is achieved by the combination of features of claim 1. The claims referring back contain partly advantageous and partly inventive developments of this invention.

The invention is based on the basic idea of arranging another foldable and one-piece insulating container in the interior of a conventional cardboard box. This insulating container is in one piece or in one piece and can be folded in such a way that the insulating container folded into its end position is adapted to the interior of the box. It is important that the insulated container is in itself is completed in order to prevent the formation of thermal bridges against the inner walls of the cardboard.

This insulating container consists of insulating material, for example an insulating film, insulating mats or the like. When the cardboard box is set up or when the cardboard box is unfolded, the outer walls of the insulating container rest against the inner walls of the cardboard box. The walls, so the side walls, the
The size of the bottom and the lid of the insulating container are adapted to the walls of the folding box so that the insulating container fits into the interior of the folding box. It is advantageous if the insulating container is slightly larger than the interior of the box. The insulated container can then still be inserted into the interior of the box without any problems. However, the outer surfaces of the walls of the insulating container are slightly corrugated, so that cavities or free spaces in the interior of the cardboard box are filled or padded with the material of the insulating container. This slight oversize of the insulated container compared to the interior of the box can be achieved, for example, in that the surfaces of the walls of the insulated container and the areas of the respective adjacent walls of the box are of the same size and the wall thickness of the walls of the insulated container is chosen to be so thick that they, as it were, fit into the aforementioned Hollow spaces or free spaces swell into it.

According to the invention, the outer walls of the insulating container are fixed to the inner walls of the cardboard box, for example glued with the aid of an adhesive film. In this way, it is possible, for example, to adapt the foldable insulating container to the unfolded blank of a folding carton and to set up the folding carton consisting of the folding carton and the foldable insulating container in a single folding process. The customer can do this himself. It is also advantageous to partially or completely unfold the folding box with the insulating container adapted to it before or after transport in order to be able to store the folding box flat or to be able to transport it flat and thus space-saving.

In a further advantageous embodiment, one wall of the insulating container has a larger area than the wall of the cardboard that is assigned to it. In this way In turn, the outer surfaces of the walls of the insulating container corrugate outwards and can thus penetrate into cavities or free spaces in the interior of the folding box and fill them up.

If the term “wall” is used in this text, it can alternatively be the front wall, side wall, rear wall, bottom or lid of the cardboard box and / or the insulating container. The term "wall" should be used as a generic term for a wall element, regardless of whether this relates to the base, the lid or any type of wall of the folding box or the insulating container.

The present invention is particularly suitable for folding cartons. However, the effect of the insulated container can also be achieved with cardboard boxes with a different structure. For example, the box can also be plugged together. The invention is therefore suitable for all types of cardboard.

In a further advantageous embodiment, the area of the insulating container bottom is larger than that of the cardboard bottom. This causes the already mentioned corrugation of the insulating material of the insulating container. In this way, the edge areas between the side walls of the insulating container form padding-like bulges or upholstery. In the manner of sealing rings or rubber seals, these bead-like edge areas of the insulating container fill the corner areas formed by the side walls of a folding box. Since grooves or weaknesses for folding the side walls of a folding box are formed in the corner areas, these beads improve the sealing effect of the insulating container, especially in the corresponding edge areas of a folding box.

Eckbereichen. To further improve the sealing effect, it is proposed to connect the pivotable tabs on the upper edges or the lower edges of the side walls of the insulating container to the respectively adjacent insulating container lid or insulating container base. If the insulating container is unfolded into its transport position, overlaps are formed between the tabs and the insulating container lid or insulating container bottom, thus doubling the sealing material in this area as it were on. This measure also leads to an improvement in the insulating effect in the neuralgic edge areas or corner areas.

These overlaps also counteract a decrease in the insulating performance of the insulating container if the box is damaged in edge areas, for example.

Furthermore, the reinforcement tabs 8 and the stabilizing tab 10 in the exemplary embodiment also have adhesive points 23. With the aid of these adhesive points 23, the in Fig. 2 The blank of the insulating container 15 shown is fixed on the box 1 before it is unfolded.

With the help of dimension arrows, the intrinsic length 24 and intrinsic width 25 of the carton front wall 2, the carton side walls 3, the carton back wall 4, the carton bottom 5 and the carton lid 6 of the carton 1 on the one hand and the container front wall 16, the container side walls 17, the container rear wall 18, the Container bottom 19 and the container lid 20 of the insulating container 15 on the other hand indicated. In the exemplary embodiment, the intrinsic length 24 and intrinsic width 25 of the carton front wall 2, the carton side walls 3, the carton back wall 4 and the carton lid 6 are each greater than or equal to the intrinsic length 24 and intrinsic width 25 of the corresponding container front wall 16, container side walls 17, container rear wall 18 and container lid 20 In the case of the container base 19, its inherent width 25 is greater than the inherent width 25 of the corresponding cardboard base 5. In this way, the container base 19 has a larger area than the cardboard base 5.

The carton 1 has folded edges 26 between its pivotable elements. After the folding box 1 and the insulating container 15 connected to the folding cardboard 1 via the glues 23 have been erected, bulges or the like are formed on the insulating container 15 as a result of the oversize of the insulating container 15 relative to the interior of the folding cardboard box 1. These beads protrude into the folded edges 26 and fill the folded edges 26 on the cardboard 1 that has been set up in an insulating manner. The same applies to the already mentioned overlaps 22, which protrude into free spaces 27 on the box 1.
