- a direct connector for the electrical contacting of circuit boards with a housing and at least one contact connected to the housing for insertion into a first through opening of a circuit board that is electrically conductive on the inner wall is also known.
- the housing of the direct plug connector has a latching device for securing the housing to the circuit board, the latching device having at least one elastically resilient latching arm which is integrally connected to the housing and has a latching projection in the area of its free end.
- the housing has a further positioning projection that is rigidly and integrally connected to the housing and protrudes beyond the bearing surface of the housing.
- the invention is intended to provide an improved direct plug connector and an improved direct plug connection.
- a direct plug connector with the features of claim 1 or a direct plug connection with the features of claim 13 is provided for this purpose.
- Preferred embodiments of the invention are set out in the subclaims.
- the direct connector according to the invention is intended for the electrical contacting of printed circuit boards.
- the direct plug connector has a housing and at least one contact connected to the housing. The contact is provided for insertion into a first through opening of a printed circuit board, which is electrically conductive on the inner wall.
- Such direct connectors are also referred to as SKEDD connectors.
- the direct plug connector has at least one latching device for securing the housing on the printed circuit board, the latching device having at least one elastically resilient latching arm which is integrally connected to the housing.
- the locking arm has a locking projection in the area of its free end.
- the latch arm and the housing are separated by a gap.
- the intermediate space can run perpendicular to a support surface of the direct connector on the circuit board. The space can run in a straight line.
- the direct plug connector according to the invention makes it possible to provide a reliable, easy-to-operate, secure hold and at the same time easy to manufacture latching device. Since the latching arm is integrally connected to the housing, the housing and latching arm can be produced together in one piece, for example by means of plastic injection molding. The locking arm can be actuated in a particularly simple manner between two fingers of a human hand.
- a height of the space between the support surface and a connection point at which the latching arm and the housing are connected to one another corresponds to at least half the height of the housing.
- the latching arm is connected flexibly enough to be able to latch onto the circuit board without problems and to be able to release the latching again without any problems.
- a height of the gap is advantageously between half and 9/10 of the height of the housing.
- the resilient connection of the locking arm can be designed to be very movable and easily operated by hand.
- a side surface of the housing and a side surface of the latching arm go on one Connection point at which the latching arm and the housing are connected to one another, arcuate into one another.
- a spring rate between the latching arm and the housing can be set via a configuration of the arcuate transition, for example the height and the radius of the arc.
- the locking projection at the free end of the locking arm is directed away from the housing.
- the latching projection can be unhooked by moving the latching arm towards the housing. This can be done by pressing the housing and the locking arm together between two fingers.
- an insertion bevel leading onto the locking projection is provided at the free end of the locking arm.
- the latching projection and thus also the latching arm can be automatically deflected when the direct plug-in connector is pressed towards the printed circuit board.
- the locking projection can be deflected by being pressed in until it has passed through a through opening in the circuit board and snaps behind the opening of the through opening.
- the housing can then be released again from this locked position by manually deflecting the locking arm until the locking projection can again pass through the through-opening in the circuit board.
- the housing has at least one further positioning projection that is rigidly and integrally connected to the housing and protrudes beyond the bearing surface of the housing.
- the direct plug connector can be held in a predefined position on the circuit board, the fixation of the direct plug connector being effected in cooperation with the latching arm and the latching projection.
- Two positioning projections are advantageously provided so that the housing and so that the contact inserted into the through opening of the circuit board cannot be accidentally tilted, twisted and thereby damaged.
- the housing has a locking arm each on two opposite side surfaces.
- Such an arrangement of the latching arms makes it possible in a particularly simple manner to press the two latching arms onto the housing and thereby disengage them from matching through openings in the circuit boards. For example, such an arrangement is selected when several contacts are arranged next to one another in a housing of a direct plug connector.
- the housing is provided with at least one dovetail groove and at least one dovetail bar.
- the housing is designed in two parts, a first housing part being provided with the at least one latching arm and a second housing part with the contact.
- the first housing part is generally U-shaped with two legs and the second housing part is received between the legs of the first housing part.
- the first housing part overlaps the second housing part. Since the first housing part is provided with the at least one latching arm and the second housing part with the contact, the contact or the contacts are secured on the circuit board by the second housing part.
- the contact has at least one insulation displacement contact for connecting to at least one cable strand, the first housing part in the connected state of the first housing part and the second housing part rests on the insulation displacement contact.
- the second housing part can be used to lay one or more cable strands.
- cable strands to be applied are secured on an underside of the first housing part. If the first housing part is then pushed onto the second housing part, the cable strands are simultaneously pressed into insulation displacement contacts in the second housing part. When connected to a circuit board, the first housing part then ensures that both housing parts and the contacts are secured on the circuit board.
- a direct plug connection with at least one direct plug connector according to the invention and a circuit board, the circuit board having at least one electrically conductive first through opening on the inner wall for inserting the contact and at least one second through opening for inserting the locking projection and / or one Has positioning projection of the housing.
- Such a direct plug-in connection is functionally reliable, easy to plug in and can also be easily removed from the circuit board again by simply unhooking the locking projections and without the aid of tools.
- Fig. 1 shows a direct connector 10 according to a first embodiment not claimed.
- the direct plug connector 10 has a housing 12 and a contact 14 arranged in sections in the housing.
- the contact 14 is connected to the housing 12 within the latter.
- the contact 14 is designed as a so-called direct plug contact or SKEDD contact.
- the two spring arms of the contact 14 protruding from the underside of the housing 12 can resiliently move towards one another and away from one another again. Such a spring movement is required when the contact 14 is inserted into an electrically conductive through-opening of a printed circuit board on the inner wall.
- Fig. 1 that is, from top to bottom or from bottom to top, the contact 14 is fixed relative to the housing 12.
- the contact 14 has an in Fig. 1 invisible connection end to which a cable strand can be connected.
- Such a connection end can be designed, for example, as an insulation displacement contact or also as a crimp contact or in some other suitable manner.
- the housing is provided with two positioning projections 16, 18 in the form of at the top Truncated cone-shaped, but otherwise cylindrical pins provided over the bottom of the housing 12, which at the same time forms the bearing surface on a circuit board.
- the positioning pins 16, 18 engage in matching through openings in a circuit board and prevent the housing 12 from being rotated or displaced on the circuit board. Since the positioning pins 16, 18 are cylindrical except for their frustoconical insertion end, they cannot prevent the housing 12 from being pulled off the printed circuit board.
- a locking arm 20 is provided which is elastically resilient and integrally connected to the housing 12 and at its free end, which is shown in FIG Fig. 1 is arranged below the support surface 22 of the housing 12, is provided with a latching projection 24.
- the latching arm 20 is separated from the housing by an intermediate space 26 that extends upwards from the support surface 22.
- the intermediate space 26 runs in a straight line and perpendicular to the support surface 22, that is also perpendicular to a printed circuit board onto which the direct plug connector 10 is plugged.
- the intermediate space 26 is delimited by an arcuate end 30.
- the locking arm 20 can be resiliently pressed a little way towards the housing 12 and then automatically springs back into the FIG Fig. 1 location shown.
- a width of the space 26 is reduced.
- the curved end 30 of the space 26 prevents notch stresses occurring in the area of the connection point 28 and thus a destruction or weakening of the material in the area of the connection point 28 a design of the arch shape or also a displacement of the end 30 upwards, a spring rate between the locking arm 20 and the housing 12 can be set.
- the latching projection 24 is provided with a run-on bevel 32 which is arranged in such a way that the latching projection 24 and thus also the latching arm 20 are pressed in the direction of the housing 12 when inserted into a suitable through opening of a printed circuit board Fig. 1 so to the left behind. This displacement movement takes place until the latching projection 24 is pushed completely through the circuit board and snaps with its undercut 34 behind the underside of the circuit board.
- FIG. 2 This state is in Fig. 2 shown.
- the undercut 34 of the latching projection 24 is now arranged opposite the underside of the circuit board 36 and thereby prevents the direct connector 10 from being in Fig. 2 is pulled off the circuit board 36 upwards.
- the contact 14 is arranged in a through opening of the circuit board 36, which is designed to be electrically conductive on its inner wall and which is electrically connected to conductor tracks, not shown, on or within the circuit board 36.
- the positioning pins 16, 18 are received in matching through openings of the circuit board 36 and prevent the direct connector 10 from twisting or the direct connector 10 from tilting relative to the circuit board 36.
- the two positioning pins 16, 18 and the locking projection 24 allow the direct connector 10 to be securely attached the circuit board 36 are fixed and Mechanical loads are kept away from the contact 14 or the electrical connection between the contact 14 and the inner wall of the through opening of the circuit board 36 as far as possible. This is also used in a lateral direction, in Fig. 2 that is, from left front to right rear or from right rear to left front, receiving the contact 14 in the housing 12 with play.
- the latching arm 20 is pressed in the area above the circuit board 36 in the direction of the housing 12.
- the positioning pins 16, 18 in the through openings of the circuit board 36 then prevent the housing 12 from escaping.
- the housing 12 can also be taken between two fingers of a human hand. If the fingers are then pressed towards one another, the latching arm 20 is pressed in the direction of the housing 12. This leads to the locking projection 24 being arranged again below the through opening in the circuit board 36 into which it was inserted. As a result, the undercut 34 is no longer opposite the underside of the circuit board 36, but below the through opening. In this compressed position of the locking arm 20 and the housing 12, the direct plug connector 10 can then be pulled off the circuit board 36 upwards again.
- Fig. 3 shows the direct plug connector 10 in a side view, the view being directed to the locking arm 20.
- the locking projection 24 with the undercut 34 can be seen on the, in Fig. 3 lower, free end of the locking arm 20.
- the positioning pins 16, 18, which extend from the support surface 22 of the housing 12, can be seen.
- the contact 14 is covered by the latching projection 24 in this view.
- Fig. 4 shows a view of the direct connector 10 from below.
- the gap 26 between the housing 12 and the latching arm 20 can be seen. If the latching arm 20 is pressed in the direction of the housing 12, the width of the gap 26 is reduced because the latching arm 20 then bends slightly below the connection point 28 , and the locking projection 24 is also displaced in the direction of the housing 12.

The invention is intended to provide an improved direct plug connector and an improved direct plug connection.
According to the invention, a direct plug connector with the features of claim 1 or a direct plug connection with the features of claim 13 is provided for this purpose. Preferred embodiments of the invention are set out in the subclaims.
The direct connector according to the invention is intended for the electrical contacting of printed circuit boards. The direct plug connector has a housing and at least one contact connected to the housing. The contact is provided for insertion into a first through opening of a printed circuit board, which is electrically conductive on the inner wall. Such direct connectors are also referred to as SKEDD connectors. The direct plug connector has at least one latching device for securing the housing on the printed circuit board, the latching device having at least one elastically resilient latching arm which is integrally connected to the housing. The locking arm has a locking projection in the area of its free end. The latch arm and the housing are separated by a gap. The intermediate space can run perpendicular to a support surface of the direct connector on the circuit board. The space can run in a straight line. There is at least one further positioning projection rigidly and integrally connected to the housing, which protrudes beyond the bearing surface of the housing. In a surprisingly simple way, the direct plug connector according to the invention makes it possible to provide a reliable, easy-to-operate, secure hold and at the same time easy to manufacture latching device. Since the latching arm is integrally connected to the housing, the housing and latching arm can be produced together in one piece, for example by means of plastic injection molding. The locking arm can be actuated in a particularly simple manner between two fingers of a human hand.
In a further development of the invention, a height of the space between the support surface and a connection point at which the latching arm and the housing are connected to one another corresponds to at least half the height of the housing.
In this way, the latching arm is connected flexibly enough to be able to latch onto the circuit board without problems and to be able to release the latching again without any problems.
A height of the gap is advantageously between half and 9/10 of the height of the housing.
In this way, the resilient connection of the locking arm can be designed to be very movable and easily operated by hand.
In a further development of the invention, a side surface of the housing and a side surface of the latching arm, these two side surfaces delimiting the intermediate space, go on one Connection point at which the latching arm and the housing are connected to one another, arcuate into one another.
An arcuate design of the transition ensures an even distribution of forces so that no notch effects occur which could possibly damage the material in the area of the connection point. A spring rate between the latching arm and the housing can be set via a configuration of the arcuate transition, for example the height and the radius of the arc.
In a further development of the invention, the locking projection at the free end of the locking arm is directed away from the housing.
In this way, the latching projection can be unhooked by moving the latching arm towards the housing. This can be done by pressing the housing and the locking arm together between two fingers.
In a further development of the invention, an insertion bevel leading onto the locking projection is provided at the free end of the locking arm.
By means of such an insertion bevel, the latching projection and thus also the latching arm can be automatically deflected when the direct plug-in connector is pressed towards the printed circuit board. The locking projection can be deflected by being pressed in until it has passed through a through opening in the circuit board and snaps behind the opening of the through opening. The housing can then be released again from this locked position by manually deflecting the locking arm until the locking projection can again pass through the through-opening in the circuit board.
In a further development of the invention, the housing has at least one further positioning projection that is rigidly and integrally connected to the housing and protrudes beyond the bearing surface of the housing.
By means of such a positioning projection, the direct plug connector can be held in a predefined position on the circuit board, the fixation of the direct plug connector being effected in cooperation with the latching arm and the latching projection. Two positioning projections are advantageously provided so that the housing and so that the contact inserted into the through opening of the circuit board cannot be accidentally tilted, twisted and thereby damaged.
In a further development of the invention, the housing has a locking arm each on two opposite side surfaces.
Such an arrangement of the latching arms makes it possible in a particularly simple manner to press the two latching arms onto the housing and thereby disengage them from matching through openings in the circuit boards. For example, such an arrangement is selected when several contacts are arranged next to one another in a housing of a direct plug connector.
In a further development of the invention, the housing is provided with at least one dovetail groove and at least one dovetail bar.
By means of such grooves and strips, which are designed to match one another, several housings of direct plug-in connectors can be secured to one another in a form-fitting manner, and larger plugs with several contacts can also be constructed individually as a result.
According to the invention, the housing is designed in two parts, a first housing part being provided with the at least one latching arm and a second housing part with the contact.
According to the invention, the first housing part is generally U-shaped with two legs and the second housing part is received between the legs of the first housing part.
In this way, the first housing part overlaps the second housing part. Since the first housing part is provided with the at least one latching arm and the second housing part with the contact, the contact or the contacts are secured on the circuit board by the second housing part.
In a further development of the invention, the contact has at least one insulation displacement contact for connecting to at least one cable strand, the first housing part in the connected state of the first housing part and the second housing part rests on the insulation displacement contact.
In this way, the second housing part can be used to lay one or more cable strands. For example, cable strands to be applied are secured on an underside of the first housing part. If the first housing part is then pushed onto the second housing part, the cable strands are simultaneously pressed into insulation displacement contacts in the second housing part. When connected to a circuit board, the first housing part then ensures that both housing parts and the contacts are secured on the circuit board.
The problem on which the invention is based is also solved by a direct plug connection with at least one direct plug connector according to the invention and a circuit board, the circuit board having at least one electrically conductive first through opening on the inner wall for inserting the contact and at least one second through opening for inserting the locking projection and / or one Has positioning projection of the housing.
Such a direct plug-in connection is functionally reliable, easy to plug in and can also be easily removed from the circuit board again by simply unhooking the locking projections and without the aid of tools.

In order to ensure that the housing is secured to the circuit board when the
