Sous l'effet d'une contrainte extérieure due à la main par exemple, la buse peut être empêchée de se déformer, bloquant la distribution ou tout du moins l'entravant sérieusement au détriment de la qualité perçue du dispositif par le consommateur. Une telle tête de distribution permet de limiter la contamination en position de repos, les parois déformables en position verticale obturant substantiellement le chemin de distribution. Toutefois, les fabricants de tête de distribution se heurtent à des difficultés. En particulier, l'insert est une pièce complexe qui comprend notamment plusieurs matériaux, à savoir au moins deux, l'un pour les piliers et l'autre pour les parois déformables. Les fabricants éprouvent alors des difficultés à produire l'insert à cadence industrielle. Un autre inconvénient réside dans la fragilité de l'insert. Les parois déformables étant de géométrie particulièrement complexe, celles-ci sont fragiles et par conséquent s'abîment et ne reviennent pas en position de repos. Le produit cosmétique et/ou pharmaceutique est alors altéré par l'air au détriment du consommateur et de la qualité perçue par celui-ci. Un autre inconvénient réside dans le fait que de telles parois déformables complexes ont des difficultés à revenir en position de repos, en particulier lorsque le produit est fortement visqueux. Un autre inconvénient d'un tel insert est que celui-ci est invisible de l'utilisateur.
