Claims (13)

  1. Cable drum (1) comprising:
    - a flange (2) having an inner surface (10) delimiting a storage space (E) of a cable, a cavity (C) being formed in the flange (2),
    - a beacon (16) at least partially housed in the cavity (C) and comprising a communication interface to emit signals transporting data relating to the cable drum (1) and/or to the cable stored in the storage space (E), characterised in that the cavity (C) opens into the inner surface (10).
  2. Cable drum (1) according to the preceding claim, further comprising a barrel having a winding surface (6) also delimiting the storage space (E), wherein the cavity (C) is closer to the circumferential free edge (12) than to the winding surface (6).
  3. Cable drum (1) according to one of the preceding claims, further comprising a cable wound in the storage space (E) between the winding surface (6) and the cavity (C) without covering the cavity (C).
  4. Cable drum (1) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the flange (2) has an outer surface (8) opposite the inner surface (10) and wherein the cavity (C) also opens into the outer surface (8).

  8. Cable drum (1) according to one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the cavity (C) is a blind cavity (C) opening exclusively into the inner surface (10).
  9. Cable drum (1) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the beacon (16) comprises
    - a casing (18, 20) containing the communication interface,
    - means (50, 52, 54, 56) for the sealed closing of the casing (18, 20),
    - means (34, 36, 38, 40) for fixing the casing (18, 20) to the flange (2),
    wherein the sealed closing means and the fixing means are configured such that the casing (18, 20) can be closed sealed before fixing the casing (18, 20) to the flange (2).
  10. Cable drum (1) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the casing comprises a base (18) and a cover (20), and wherein the sealed closing means of the casing (18, 20) comprise:
    - at least one element for clipping (52, 54, 56) the cover to the base and a seal (50) arranged to make the casing (18, 20) sealed when the cover is clipped to the base, or
    - at least one welding of the cover to the base produced by ultrasound.
  11. Cable drum (1) according to one of claims 9 and 10, wherein the means for fixing the casing (18, 20) to the flange (2) comprise at least one first wall (24, 72) of the casing (18, 20) and a screw (34, 36):
    - arranged to pass through the first wall (24) and penetrate into the flange (2), or

Cable drum (1) according to the preceding claim, without it depending on claim 8, wherein the flange (2) has an outer surface (8) opposite the inner surface (10), the cavity (C) also opens into the outer surface (8), and the screw penetrates into the flange (2) through an inner surface (14) of the cavity (C), mutually connecting the inner and outer surfaces (8, 10) of the flange (2).
