Dienes, or diolefins, contain two double bonds, commonly located in conjugation in a 1,3 relationship. Olefins containing more than two double bonds, sometimes referred to as polyenes, are also considered within the definition of "diene" as used herein.
  • Useful dienes include those containing from 4 to about 12 carbon atoms, preferably from 8 to about 16 carbon atoms, such as 1,3-butadiene, isoprene, piperylene, methylpentadiene, phenylbutadiene, 3,4-dimethyl-1,3-hexadiene, 4,5-diethyl-1,3-octadiene, with 1,3-butadiene and isoprene being preferred.

Oils 8 and 9 include boron and molybdenum. Oil 8 containing the same relatively high boron dose and a relatively high molybdenum dose as Oils 7 and 6, respectively, and Oil 9 including half the amount of boron and molybdenum.
  • compositions were tested for LSPI event occurrence according to the ASTM (Ford) LSPI test for applications claiming GF-6 / API SP, the results being presented in Table 7.

Claims (12)

  1. Utilisation, dans la lubrification du carter d'un moteur à combustion interne à allumage par étincelles à injection directe, d'une combinaison d'un additif contenant du bore et d'un additif contenant du molybdène dans une composition d'huile lubrifiante pour réduire les événements LSPI (allumage prématuré à basse vitesse) dans ledit moteur à combustion interne à allumage par étincelles à injection directe, dans laquelle l'additif contenant du molybdène dote la composition d'huile lubrifiante d'une teneur en molybdène d'au moins 150 ppm en poids, par rapport au poids de la composition d'huile lubrifiante et telle que mesurée conformément à la norme ASTM D5185, et l'additif contenant du bore dote la composition d'huile lubrifiante d'une teneur en bore d'au moins 150 ppm en poids, par rapport au poids de la composition d'huile lubrifiante et telle que mesurée conformément à la norme ASTM D5185.
  2. Utilisation selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle, en fonctionnement, le moteur génère un niveau de pression effective moyenne de freinage supérieur à 1500 kPa, éventuellement supérieur à 2000 kPa, à des vitesses de moteur de 1000 à 2500 tours par minute (t/min), éventuellement de 1000 à 2000 t/min.
  3. Utilisation selon la revendication 1 ou la revendication 2, dans laquelle l'additif contenant du molybdène dote la composition d'huile lubrifiante d'une teneur en molybdène de 150 ppm à 1500 ppm, par exemple de 300 à 1500 ppm, telle que de 350 à 1000 ppm en poids par rapport au poids de la composition d'huile lubrifiante.
  4. Utilisation selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, dans laquelle l'additif contenant du bore apporte une teneur en bore de 150 à 1500 ppm, par exemple de 200 à 1000 ppm en poids par rapport au poids de la composition d'huile lubrifiante.
  5. Utilisation selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 a 4, dans laquelle la composition d'huile lubrifiante comprend un détergent au calcium dotant la composition d'huile lubrifiante d'une teneur en calcium de 0,08 à 0,5 % en poids, par exemple de 0,15 à 0,4 % en poids par rapport au poids de la composition d'huile lubrifiante.
  6. Utilisation selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, dans laquelle la composition d'huile lubrifiante a une teneur en magnésium non supérieure à 0,12 % en poids.
  7. Utilisation selon la revendication 6, dans laquelle la composition d'huile lubrifiante a une teneur en magnésium de 0,0 % en poids par rapport au poids de la composition d'huile lubrifiante.
  8. Utilisation selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 7, dans laquelle l'additif contenant du bore est un ou plusieurs parmi : un dispersant boraté, un améliorant de dispersant boraté VI, un borate de métal alcalin ou un mélange de borates de métal alcalin ou de métal alcalino-terreux, un détergent métallique surbasique boraté, un époxyde boraté, un ester borate, un ester borate sulfurisé, ou un borate-amide.
  9. Utilisation selon la revendication 8, dans laquelle l'additif contenant du bore est un ou plusieurs parmi un dispersant boraté, un ester borate ou un détergent métallique surbasique boraté.
  10. Utilisation selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 9, dans laquelle l'additif contenant du molybdène est un composé organique du molybdène soluble dans l'huile ou dispersible dans l'huile.
  11. Utilisation selon la revendication 10, dans laquelle l'additif contenant du molybdène est un ou plusieurs parmi un dithiocarbamate de molybdène, un dithiophosphate de molybdène, un dithiophosphinate de molybdène, un xanthate de molybdène, ou un thioxanthate de molybdène.
  12. Utilisation selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 a 11, dans laquelle la composition d'huile lubrifiante comprend en outre un composé contenant du phosphore en une quantité introduisant au plus 0,12 % en poids, de préférence au plus 0,08 % en poids et plus préférablement au plus 0,06 % en poids de phosphore, par rapport au poids de la composition d'huile lubrifiante, et mesuré conformément à la norme ASTM D5185.
