Claims (15)

  1. Hairstyling appliance (1) for curling hair comprising a mandrel (3), a liquid tank (10), a heating element (21) integrated in the mandrel, a hair strand (13) communicating with the tank (10) so as to be soaked with liquid, said hair strand (13) extending between a proximal end (16) intended to come into contact with the heating element (21) and a distal end (20) supplied with liquid from the tank (10), and means for guiding the hair strand (13) configured to make it possible for the movement thereof from a passive position to an active position wherein said hair strand is in contact with the heating element (21) to create steam, characterised in that said guide means comprise an elastic guide device (18) in contact with the periphery of said hair strand (13) at the level of the proximal end (16).
  2. Hairstyling appliance (1) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the elastic guide device (18) is permeable to air.
  3. Hairstyling appliance (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that said elastic guide device (18) comprises a coil spring and in that said hair strand (13) is arranged inside said spring.
  4. Hairstyling appliance (1) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the diameter of the spring is between 2 mm and 8 mm and preferably between 4 mm and 6 mm.
  5. Hairstyling appliance (1) according to claim 3 or 4, characterised in that the length when idle of the spring is between 15 mm and 45 mm and preferably between 25 mm and 35 mm.
  6. Hairstyling appliance (1) according to any one of claims 3 to 5, characterised in that said guide means comprise a hair strand holder (14) inside which is arranged said coil spring.
  7. Hairstyling appliance (1) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the hair strand holder (14) comprises a channel (142) for conveying air to the tank (10).
  8. Hairstyling appliance (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the elastic guide device (18) extends between said proximal and distal ends (16, 20) of the hair strand (13).
  9. Hairstyling appliance (1) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that said elastic guide device (18) comprises an abutment (181) capable of coming into contact with said distal end (20).
  10. Hairstyling appliance (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the hair strand (13) comprises a plurality of strands in contact with one another, said strands extending longitudinally.
  11. Hairstyling appliance (1) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that each strand is a glass fibre strand.
  12. Hairstyling appliance (1) according to claim 10 or 11, characterised in that each strand has a length of between 30 mm and 90 mm and preferably between 50 mm and 70 mm, each of said strands being folded on itself so as to split the length thereof in two.
  13. Hairstyling appliance (1) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the folding of the strands forms the distal end (20), while the free end of the strands forms the proximal end (16).
  14. Hairstyling appliance (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the hair strand (13) is secured to the tank (10), the guide means being configured to move the tank (10) and the hair strand (13) from the passive position to the active position.
  15. Hairstyling appliance (1) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that it comprises a locking/unlocking system (22) configured to ensure the holding of the tank (10) and the hair strand (13) in the active position.
