Description
- The present invention relates to an illumination lamp with light curtain which can fulfil characteristics of all rear stop lamp such as position, particularly stop, reverse gear, rear fog, rear signal and reflex reflector.
- Today, filament lamps are used as light source in lighting devices such as stop lamps and LED's are used and devices are designed with LED by advancement of LED technology in recent years. In addition to these usages, light tube is used in part of position lamps due to the fact that the lighting values desired in the regulation are low.
- The
United States patent document no. US8511864B2 discloses a method and an apparatus characterized by providing an optical transfer function between a light source such as a LED with a predetermined energy distribution pattern and a predetermined illuminated surface pattern such as a street light pattern. A lens is formed having a shape defined by the said optical transfer function. The said optical transfer function is derived by generating an energy distribution pattern using the predetermined energy distribution pattern of the light source. Then, the projection of the energy distribution pattern onto the illuminated surface is generated. The predetermined illuminated surface pattern is compared to the said projection to determine it acceptably matches. DocumentUS 2006/0044825A1 discloses a further illumination lamp. - An objective of the present invention is to realize an illumination lamp whereby a homogeneous and soft lighting effect is created in desired regions of lamps such as stop lamp and an illumination which does not reach the eye directly is realized through use of an inner lens called as light curtain and covering the product entirely.
- Another objective of the present invention is to realize an illumination lamp whereby saving is provided in terms of LED use through use of inner lens and product cost is reduced.
- A further objective of the present invention is to realize an illumination lamp whereby the duty carried out by a plurality of LED's is fulfilled by the light curtain.
- Another objective of the present invention is to realize an illumination lamp which is used as rear stop lamp.
- "An illumination lamp with light curtain" realized to fulfill the objectives of the present invention is shown in the figures attached, in which:
-
Figure 1 is an exploded perspective view of the inventive illumination lamp used as stop lamp. -
Figure 2 are views of the usage parts of the PCB in the inventive illumination lamp used as stop lamp. -
Figure 3 are sectional views of the light curtain and the lighting members in the inventive illumination lamp used as stop lamp. -
Figure 4 are sectional views of the light curtain which has prisms that transmit the beams proceeding in the horizontal direction in the vertical direction in the inventive illumination lamp used as stop lamp. - The components illustrated in the figures are individually numbered, where the numbers refer to the following:
- 1. Illumination lamp
- 2. Body
- 3. Connecting piece
- 4. Light curtain
- 5. Circuit board
- 6. Lighting member
- 7. Outer lens
- 8. Prism
- 9. Coating material
- The inventive illumination lamp (1) comprises the features of claim 1.
- The inventive illumination lamp (1) preferably comprises coating materials (9) for increasing homogeneity and efficiency of light of the rear surfaces of the light curtain (4). The said coating material (9) can be metalizing or white paint.
In the inventive illumination lamp (1), the body (2), the connecting piece (3) which is located on the body (2); and the light curtain (4) which is located on the connecting piece (3) take form according to functions such as position, stop, reverse gear, rear fog, rear signal and reflex reflector, etc. of the lamp. In the preferred embodiment, the illumination lamp (1) is connected to the vehicle over the body (2). - According to the invention, the light curtain (4) has prisms that direct the beams proceeding in horizontal direction in vertical direction. Thus, the lighting members (6) do not appear on the outer lens (7) as point and an illumination is realized in the form of a curtain. Thus, a homogeneous and soft lighting effect is created while realizing an illumination which does not reach the eye directly.
The circuit boards (5) are provided on the edges of the light curtain (4) such that they are placed on end portions of each section separated according to lamp functions.
In a preferred embodiment, the lighting member (6) is LED. All functions on the stop lamp (1) are fulfilled by 15 LED's on average. In the inventive illumination lamp (1), number of LED used is reduced in the ratios of 70% by use of the light curtain (4) and improvement is also ensured in product cost in addition to a significant saving.
The inventive illumination lamp is preferably used as rear stop lamp in vehicles.
