For example, document is known FR 2,354,729 an umbrella comprising a mast, and a protective panel on which is stretched a fabric, the protection panel being rotatably mounted in three axes orthogonal to the mast, to give the umbrella a variety of different positions and adaptability to climatic conditions.

The mechanism for rotating the panel relative to the mast is however not very robust, which prevents to provide for this protective device a large panel.

Document is also known FR 2,504,368 a protection device comprising a fabric stretched over an armature, the amount of the armature being offset to be able to associate several devices to increase the protection surface without hindering it by the presence of a mast.

This device has a heavier and more rigid structure to increase the protection surface offered by the individual device.

Advantageously, but optionally, the device according to the invention may further comprise at least one of the following characteristics:
  • the panel comprises at least two rectilinear adjacent straight sides forming a vertex, and the mast is connected to the panel at a vertex of said panel, for example the panel has a polygonal shape, or comprises at least two rectilinear adjacent sides and a curvilinear side connecting said rectilinear sides,

The invention also relates to an assembly comprising two protection devices according to the preceding presentation, wherein the protection devices are mounted on a common base, the masts being parallel to each other, and each coupling frame is pivoted relative to to the respective support member of the frame to adopt a position in which the two protective devices are symmetrical to each other with respect to a plane (P) extending between them.

Advantageously, but optionally, in the assembly according to the invention, the base is a vertical wall.

The protection device proposed is robust because the coupling frame of the frame on its support makes it possible to reduce the center of gravity of the protection panel near the mast, which stabilizes the entire structure.

In addition, the fact that the coupling armature is pivotally mounted relative to the frame support makes it possible to mount two identical protective devices in a symmetrical manner, by pivoting one of the armatures at 90 ° with respect to its support, for position the protective panels side by side and thus increase the protection surface. This is achieved without differentiating the parts of the two devices, and therefore without increasing the production cost of the device.

The foldable frame and removable mount on the frame allows to store the panel easily and in a minimum of space.

DESCRIPTION DETAILLEE D'AU MOINS UN MODE DE REALISATIONDETAILED DESCRIPTION OF AT LEAST ONE EMBODIMENT

With reference to the figure 1a , there is shown a protection device 1, the use of which allows in particular to protect the sun.

The protection device 1 comprises a mast 10, which extends in a main direction, generally vertical when the protective device 1 is in a position of use.

The protective device 1 further comprises a protective panel 20, which is rotatably mounted relative to the mast 10, about an axis X-X orthogonal to the direction of the mast.

The mast may comprise, according to a preferred embodiment, a rod formed of two tube portions 11, 12, adapted to slide one inside the other, and a locking system 13 in translation of a portion. 12 compared to each other. Thus the rod is telescopic, it can be deployed in use, and the portion 12 can be inserted into the portion 11 to reduce the size of the mast during storage.

The panel has at least two adjacent rectilinear sides forming a vertex through which it is fixed to the mast 10. According to a first embodiment, the panel has a polygonal shape, preferably square or rectangular. Alternatively, the panel has at least two adjacent rectilinear sides, and a curvilinear side interconnecting the rectilinear sides. The panel is then attached to the mast at the top formed by the two adjacent straight sides.

In this way the mast 10 is offset relative to the panel and maximizes the protected area under the panel when it is deployed, that is to say when it extends orthogonally to the mast or horizontally in the position of use of the protection device 1.

Very advantageously, the panel 20 is symmetrical with respect to a bisecting plane passing through the apex through which it is connected to the mast; this is the case for example of a square, a diamond, or a quarter circle. We have shown on the figure 1b such a plan B for a square panel.

On the figure 1b and the figure 2 , the mast 10 further comprises a jaw 14, mounted at the end of the rod, for example at the end of the portion 12, and preferably fixed thereto by bolting or screwing. The jaw 14 is thus preferably secured to the mast.

La mâchoire 14 comporte un logement cylindrique 15, s'étendant selon une direction orthogonale X-X à la direction du mât 10.The jaw 14 comprises a cylindrical housing 15, extending in an orthogonal direction X-X to the direction of the mast 10.

The housing 15 is adapted to receive a cylindrical shaft 16 of a frame support member 3 described hereinafter. The cylindrical shaft 16 is rotatably mounted in the housing 15 relative to the axis of the housing, which corresponds to the axis of the shaft when it is inserted into the housing.

In addition, in order to lock the cylindrical shaft 16 in rotation in the housing 15 in at least one, and preferably a plurality of different positions, the cylindrical shaft 16 comprises a plurality of flutes 160, and the jaw 14 comprises a slot (not shown) of corresponding form. The device 1 further comprises a key 17 adapted to be received in a groove through the slot of the jaw, to lock in rotation the shaft 16 in the housing 15.

Thus, it is possible to modify the angular position of the shaft 16 relative to the housing 15 by loosening the key 17, and by pivoting the shaft 16 in the housing 15.

To ensure the robustness of the mechanical parts stressed such as the shaft 16 and the key 17, they are advantageously made of stainless steel.

The fixed part of the jaw with respect to the mast 10, in which is formed the cylindrical recess 15 forming a housing, can in turn be made of aluminum.

According to the embodiment shown in figure 2 , the housing 15 is offset laterally relative to the mast. Alternatively, the housing 15 may be in the extension of mast in the direction of extension of the mast.

With reference to the figure 3 , the protection panel 20 comprises a frame support member 3. This frame support member comprises the shaft 16 and two tabs 30 extending in parallel, the tabs being fixed to the shaft 16 on both sides of it, for example by screwing or bolting. The shaft 16 thus ensures, by its rotation in the housing 15, the rotary connection between the mast 10 and the panel 20.

A support disc 31 is mounted on the tabs 30. It comprises in this respect two slots 311 in which the tabs are welded.

According to a first embodiment represented in figure 3 , the support disk 31 is offset laterally with respect to the shaft 16, the tabs 30 extending in a direction orthogonal to the axis of the shaft 16 and orthogonal to the axis of the mast 10. According to an alternative embodiment, the support disk is located right of the shaft 16 when it is fixed on the the tabs then extending in a direction orthogonal to the axis of the shaft 16 and parallel to the axis of the mast. In this case, if the shaft 16 is in the extension of the mast, the support disk is also in this extension.

On the disk 31 is formed a through groove 310 arcuate, which will be described in more detail below.

On the figures 1a and 1b , the protection panel 20 further comprises a frame 4, defining a plane of the protection panel 20. On the frame is fixed a protective surface 5, which may be a rigid surface such as a light plate, for example of materials composites, or a canvas, the fabric then being preferably stretched on the frame.

The fabric 5 can then be made of a woven material, of vegetable or synthetic textile type, preferably elastic to be stretched on the frame. In all cases, the protective surface 5 is advantageously impermeable, to give the protection device a rain shelter function.

With reference to the figure 4a , there is shown in more detail an embodiment of the structure of the frame 4. This comprises three rods, including a central rod 40, and two lateral rods 41. The three rods are joined at one end by a handle 42, which is a metal structure having a gripping port for handling and transporting the frame with simplicity.

The handle 42 has a generally triangular shape, two vertices of which have a connection with the lateral rods 41, and the connection with the central rod 40 being approximately mid-length of the side extending between the vertices.

The central rod 40 comprises a sleeve 43 attached to the handle 42 or integral with it, and one or more telescopic rods 44 in the sleeve 43.

The lateral rods are pivotally mounted relative to the handle 42, with respect to an axis orthogonal to the frame plane (which corresponds to the plane in which the handle 42 is inscribed). Thus, the lateral rods 41 can be folded against the central rod 40 to fold the frame in a convenient transport position.

The frame 4 is advantageously a symmetrical part with respect to a bisecting plane passing through the vertex connecting the frame to the mast, the lateral rods 41 therefore being of the same length, and being able to be deployed at the same angle with respect to the central rod 40. Alternatively, the lateral rods 41 are fixed relative to the central rod 40.

According to an alternative embodiment, the frame 4 may be a closed frame, preferably polygonal, and preferably tubular, supporting the protective surface 5, which is preferably rigid but may alternatively be flexible and stretched on the frame.

Thus, by way of non-limiting example, the frame 4 may be square and comprise four tubular lateral rods 41 of identical lengths and four corners 44 each comprising two orifices adapted to receive the ends of two rods. Corners can form sharp or rounded right angles as in the figure. Means for securing the rods in the corners may be provided (for example by screwing or other).

According to this embodiment, one of the corners may form a handle 42. In this respect the corner 44 corresponding to the handle is advantageously rounded. Alternatively, a handle 42 may be formed by at least one strip of material attached between two adjacent lateral rods, as on the figure 4b .

L'extrémité opposée de la tige principale 45 est reliée à une pluralité de tiges secondaires 46.According to yet another embodiment, shown in Figures 4c to 4e , the frame may comprise a main rod 45 connected at one end to the mat via a coupling frame 6 described below. The opposite end of the main rod 45 is connected to a plurality of secondary rods 46.

The secondary rods 46 are pivotally mounted relative to the main rod to allow their folding along it, or their deployment to fix or stretch the protective surface of the protective panel. The rotation is thus made in the plane of the main stem, along one or more axes orthogonal to said plane.

The arrangement of the secondary rods 46 may be the subject of several embodiments. On the Figures 4c and 4d , the rods are fan-mounted about a common axis 49.

On the figure 4e the secondary rods 46 are mounted around separate axes 49 'for deployment in the plane of the main rod 45 in all directions around it.

According to this embodiment, the frame 4 advantageously comprises two plates 47 attached to the end of the main stem so that it is disposed between the two plates and there is a gap between these plates. In the remaining space, a plurality of sleeves 48 are rotatably mounted about respective axes extending between the two plates.

Each secondary rod 46 is inserted into a corresponding sleeve 48 to obtain the rotary assembly. In addition, the sleeves 48 whose axes are adjacent to the long sides of the main stem are advantageously adapted to allow the insertion of a rod so that the axis of the rod and the axis of the sleeve are combined. Thus the corresponding secondary rods 46, said first secondary rods, can be folded directly along the long sides.

The sleeves whose axes are adjacent to the smaller side of the main rod are adapted to receive the corresponding secondary rods 46 ', said second secondary rods, forming an angle of 90 °. In this way, the second secondary rods can be folded on the first.

According to a preferred embodiment, the attachment of the protective surface 5 to the frame can be made for example by snapping, if the surface comprises a rigid plate.

Alternatively, in the case where the protective surface 5 is a flexible fabric 5, its attachment to the frame can be achieved by arranging in the fabric 5 sleeves 50 adapted to receive rods of the frame.

So, in the embodiment of the figure 1a , the sleeves are on two adjacent sides to receive the lateral rods when they are deployed at most with respect to the central rod 40. Preferably, in the case where the frame complies with the figure 4a , the maximum deployment of the two lateral rods gives the frame 4 an angular opening corresponding to the angle between the two adjacent sides forming the vertex through which the panel is connected to the mast.

In the preferred embodiment in which the panel 20 is square or rectangular, the maximum deployment of the rods corresponds to a 45 ° angle between each lateral rod and the central rod, and therefore a 90 ° angle between the two rods. lateral, corresponding to the right angle between two successive sides of the protective surface.

Thus, the lateral rods 41 extend along the two successive sides of the protective surface, and the central rod 40 extends along a diagonal of the surface.

Dans ce cas, la surface 5 est tout de même avantageusement positionnée sur cadre 4 de manière à s'étendre symétriquement de part et d'autre de la tige centrale 40.Alternatively, in the case where the protective surface 5 is rigid, the angular aperture corresponding to the maximum deployment of the two lateral rods 41 may be less than the angle between the sides of the panel forming the top. In this case, the surface 5 is still advantageously positioned on frame 4 so as to extend symmetrically on either side of the central rod 40.

In the case where the frame is square in accordance with the figure 4b the sleeves 50 of the flexible fabric may be sheaths that can open and close, for example by being provided with Velvet-hook type strips. This allows to position the canvas on the frame 4, to open the sleeves to position the lateral rods, and close around the rods to grip the rods and thus secure the canvas to the sleeves.

In addition, if the fabric is flexible, it then has dimensions identical to the frame: it is square and the same length of side as the frame. If it is rigid, it may be square or rectangular, and have sides of greater or equal length than the sides of the frame.

Preferably, the frame is both lightweight and strong, so that it can be transported easily but still withstand stresses such as those imposed by the wind. In this respect, it is preferably made of aluminum.

In the case where the frame complies with the embodiment of Figures 4c to 4e , the protective surface can be stretched over the secondary rods 46.

Back to the figure 3 , the protection panel 20 further comprises a coupling frame 6 between the frame support 3 and the frame 4.

The coupling armature 6 comprises a base 60 adapted to be fixed to the disk 31 of the frame support. Advantageously, the base is of generally square shape, the sides of which are greater than the diameter of the disc 31 of the support element.

The coupling armature 6 also comprises arms on which the lateral rods 41 and the central rod 40 of the frame can be fixed, when the lateral rods are in the extended position, in the case of the figure 4a , or two lateral rods 41 adjacent to the square frame of the figure 4b .

The armature 6 thus comprises a central arm 62 and two lateral arms 61, joined at one end by the base 60. The assembly of the armature is preferably made of aluminum.

The armature 6 is advantageously a symmetrical part, whose lateral arms are of the same length and whose spacing relative to the central arm 62 is identical.

The angular aperture between the lateral arms 61 corresponds to the angular aperture of the frame 4 and, preferably, to the angle between two adjacent sides of the protective surface 5. This is particularly preferable when the protective surface 5 is a stretched canvas on the frame 4. Alternatively, in the case where the protective surface 5 is rigid, the angular opening of the arms 61 of the frame 6 and the frame 4 may be less than the angular aperture of the vertex by which the panel 20 is connected to the mast 10.

Thus the frame 6 is in a corner or top of the panel.

In the embodiment in which the surface 5 is square or rectangular, the lateral arms 61, 62 advantageously form at their junction a right angle.

The other ends of the arms 61, 62 are interconnected by an arc 63 so as to consolidate the armature.

Advantageously, but optionally, the central arm 62 may also comprise a device snap of the central stem of the frame, in the case where it conforms to the first embodiment ( Figure 4a ).

The frame can in this way be removed from the rest of the device to store the protective surface 5 in case of non-use of the device, whose size is reduced. Advantageously, the frame 4 can be locked on the armature 6 after its snap-fastening, for example by means of a locking handle inserted in a hole 620 of the armature, the orifice comprising, in known manner, a protrusion 622 of reduced section adapted to hold the handle once in position.

In the embodiment of Figures 4c to 4e , the main rod 45 of the frame 4 is mounted on the coupling frame 6, advantageously by snapping. In this case, as visible on the figure 5 , the coupling armature 6 may have a smaller angular opening between its lateral arms 61, or even be reduced to a support of the main rod comprising a base 60 mounted on the frame support 3, and an arm 62 (corresponding to the central arm of the figure 3 ) supporting the main stem 45.

For example, the armature can be mounted to the support by interconnection, the armature comprising dog teeth (not shown) adapted to cooperate with slots 312 complementary frame support. The dog teeth and the slots 312 are first aligned so as to insert the support disc 31 between the teeth of the frame 6, then the two pieces are pivoted relative to each other, the teeth dog assembly comprising flanges adapted to prohibit a relative translation between the frame and the support disc 31.

Cette liaison entre l'armature 6 et le support de cadre 3 permet donc de faire pivoter l'armature par rapport au support 3 autour d'un axe orthogonal Y-Y au plan du panneau de protection (le plan du panneau de protection correspondant au plan défini par l'armature 6).This connection between the armature 6 and the frame support 3 thus makes it possible to pivot the armature relative to the support 3 around an orthogonal axis YY to the plane of the protection panel (the plane of the protection panel corresponding to the defined plane by the frame 6).

This allows, by a double rotation of the protection device, comprising a rotation of the device around its mast, and a rotation of the armature relative to the frame support, to make adopt the protection device all possible configurations, allowing to adapt in particular the relative positions of the panel and the mast according to the position of the sun.

In addition, the relative rotation between the frame support 3 and the armature 6 is limited to an angle defining two extreme positions of the armature relative to the support 3, corresponding to two configurations called "left" and "right" of the device protection.

To limit the relative rotation between the armature and the support 3, the base 60 of the armature comprises a through orifice 600 adapted to receive a pinlock 601 system. The pin 601 is adapted to pass through the orifice 600 and be received in the groove 310 of the support 3. The device further comprises a handle 602, which can cooperate with the pin 601 to hold it tight in position in the groove 310, or, by loosening the handle, release the pin to allow its displacement in the groove 310 and thus allow the rotation of the armature 6 relative to the support 3.

As indicated above, groove 310 is an arc of a circle. The angular aperture of the groove 310 defines the limit relative rotation angle between the frame support 3 and the armature 6, the pin 601 abutting against the ends of the groove 310.

Le terme « supplémentaire » est compris au sens mathématique du terme, c'est-à-dire que la somme de l'ouverture angulaire de l'armature et de celle du sillon est égale à 180°.Advantageously, according to the embodiment of the figure 3 , the opening angle of the groove 310 is the additional angle of opening of the apex angle through which the panel is connected to the mast, between two successive sides of the protective surface 5. The term "additional" is understood in the mathematical sense of the term, that is to say that the sum of the angular aperture of the armature and that of the groove is equal to 180 °.

De préférence, dans le mode de réalisation dans lequel la surface de protection est carrée ou rectangulaire, l'ouverture angulaire du sillon est de 90° et celle de l'armature est aussi de 90°.Preferably, in the embodiment in which the protective surface is square or rectangular, the angular opening of the groove is 90 ° and that of the armature is also 90 °.

In the embodiment in which the protective surface 5 is a fabric stretched over the frame 4, the opening angle of the groove 310 is also the additional of the angular opening of the frame 4 and the frame, since this angular opening corresponds to that of the panel.

The groove and the anchor lock system thus make it possible to limit the amplitude of the rotation between the reinforcement 6 and the support 3 at the angular opening of the groove.

The two left and right configurations thus defined make it possible, in the very advantageous embodiment in which the protective panel 20 is a part symmetrical with respect to the bisecting plane of the apex through which it is connected to the mast, to simply have the device of protection two symmetrical arrangements of one another. In this case, in the embodiment of the figure 3 as shown schematically in figure 7 , the protective device may adopt symmetrical arrangements of one another by pivoting the armature 6 from one extreme configuration to the other (configuration left-right or vice versa), and pivoting the mast of the 180 ° device.

According to the alternative embodiment not shown the shaft 16 is in the extension of the mast, and the support disk is also in the extension of the mast, the groove has an angular opening of 180 °, and the Symmetrical arrangements of the protective device are obtained by changing the configuration of the armature, and rotating the mast of the device by 90 °.

The choice of the angular opening of the furrow therefore makes it possible, with reference to the figure 6a , to overcome the asymmetry of the protection device that would result if the panel was fixedly mounted on the mast relative to the direction of the mast.

In the embodiment of Figures 4c to 4e , another advantageous configuration is a storage configuration in which the coupling armature 6 forms a zero angle with the support element of the frame, and is folded against the mast, the secondary rods are also folded against the main rod. In a preferred application of the protection device 1 shown in FIG. figure 6a , an assembly comprising two identical protection devices 1, 1 ', each comprising a panel 20, 20' square, the masts being mounted parallel to each other on a common support 7. It is then advantageous that the two protective devices 1 respectively in the two symmetrical configurations of the other relative to a plane of symmetry P extending between the masts, to maximize the protective surface and to reduce the annoyance generated by the masts.

The symmetry is allowed by the pivoting, for one of the devices, the armature 6 relative to the support of the maximum amplitude allowed by the groove 310 of the support, and the pivoting of the mast by 180 °.

In this position, one of the armatures 6, 6 'is therefore in a first extreme position, left or right, authorized by the groove 310, 310' relative to the support 3, 3 ', and the other armature is in the second extreme position, right or left, allowed by the groove relative to the support.

The common support 7 may be a vertical wall such as a wall, as on the figure 6a , or a common mast as on the figure 6b provided with a fastening system 70 of the two mats 10, 10 'of the devices 1,1' shown in FIG. Figure 6c , the fixing system 70 comprising a metal base 71 provided with recesses 72 adapted to receive each mast, and metal hoops 73 for holding the poles against the base 71.

Alternatively, the protective device 1 used alone may further comprise a base (not shown) on which the mast is fixed to hold it in position. vertical position. The mast may still have, at its end opposite the jaw 14, a pointed end (not shown) allowing it to be plugged into soft ground like sand for seaside use.
