Bei dem Profil 2 handelt es sich um ein Strangprofil, das bevorzugt aus Aluminium oder Edelstahl hergestellt ist, wobei grundsätzlich auch andere Materialien verwendet werden können, wie beispielsweise Kunststoff oder dergleichen. Das Profil 2 umfasst einen Befestigungsschenkel 6, der vorliegend entlang seiner Länge mit beabstandet zueinander angeordneten Durchgangslöchern 7 versehen ist. Durch diese Durchgangslöcher 7 kann ein zur Befestigung des Profils 2 an einem Untergrund verwendeter zähflüssiger Kleber, wie beispielsweise ein Fliesenkleber, dringen, wodurch in bekannter Weise eine Verklammerung erzielt wird. Alternativ kann an der Rückseite 8 des Befestigungsschenkels 6 aber auch ein nicht näher dargestelltes Vlies oder Gewebe befestigt sein, das einen Haftgrund für einen entsprechenden Kleber bildet. Das Profil 2 umfasst ferner einen im Wesentlichen U-förmig ausgebildeten Profilabschnitt 9, der einteilig mit dem Befestigungsschenkel 6 ausgebildet ist. Der U-förmige Profilabschnitt 9 weist einen sich rechtwinklig zum Befestigungsschenkel 6 erstreckenden Begrenzungsschenkel 10 und zwei sich rechtwinklig von den freien Enden des Begrenzungsschenkels 10 erstreckende und einander gegenüberliegend angeordnete Seitenschenkel 11 und 12 auf, wobei der Seitenschenkel 12 in Verlängerung des Befestigungsschenkels 6 angeordnet ist. An den Innenseiten der Seitenschenkel 11 und 12 sind einwärts vorstehende Vorsprünge 13 und 14 angeordnet, die zur lösbaren Aufnahme der Streuscheibenabdeckung 4 oder der Streuscheibenabdeckung 5 dienen, wie es nachfolgend noch näher erläutert ist. An der Außenseite des Seitenschenkels 12 ist eine Aussparung 15 angeformt, die beim Kleben des Profils 2 auf einen Untergrund zur Aufnahme überschüssigen Klebers dient.In the
Die Streuscheibenabdeckung 4 ist aus lichtdurchlässigem Kunststoff hergestellt und umfasst einen Basisabschnitt 16 und zwei rechtwinklig von diesem vorstehende, einander gegenüberliegend angeordnete Seitenabschnitte 17 und 18. Der erste Seitenabschnitt 17 ist länger als der zweite Seitenabschnitt 18 ausgebildet und nimmt an seiner Innenseite in demjenigen Bereich, der über den zweiten Seitenabschnitt 18 vorsteht, das Leuchtmittel 3 auf, das vorliegend über einen Klebestreifen 19 festgelegt ist. Dank der unterschiedlichen Längen der Seitenabschnitte 17 und 18 ist das Leuchtmittel 3 für einen Benutzer problemlos zugänglich. Im Bereich des freien Endes des ersten Seitenabschnitts 17 ist ein einwärts weisender Vorsprung 20 vorgesehen, der als Anschlag für das Leuchtmittel 3 dient. Jeder Seitenabschnitt 17, 18 ist an seiner Außenseite mit einer nutförmigen Aussparung 21, 22 versehen, wobei die nutförmigen Aussparungen 21 und 22 im bestimmungsgemäß angeordneten Zustand mit den länglichen Vorsprüngen 13 und 14 des Profils 2 zusammenwirken und eine manuell lösbare Rastverbindung definieren, wie es in Figur 2 gezeigt ist. Entsprechend kann die Streuscheibenabdeckung 4 mit dem daran gehaltenen Leuchtmittel 3 von oben zwischen den Seitenschenkeln 11 und 12 des Profils 2 eingesetzt werden, bis die Rastverbindung greift. Wird die Streuscheibenabdeckung 4 in das Profil 2 eingesetzt, so ergibt sich die in
Die Streuscheibenabdeckung 5 ist ebenfalls aus lichtdurchlässigem Kunststoff hergestellt und umfasst einen Basisabschnitt 24 und zwei von diesem rechtwinklig vorstehende, einander gegenüberliegend angeordnete Seitenabschnitte 25 und 26. Der erste Seitenabschnitt 25 ist länger als der zweite Abschnitt 26 ausgebildet, wobei das Leuchtmittel 3 über einen Klebestreifen 19 an der Innenseite desjenigen Bereiches des ersten Seitenabschnittes 25 befestigt ist, der über den zweiten Seitenabschnitt 26 vorsteht. Dank der unterschiedlichen Längen der Seitenabschnitte 25 und 26 ist das Leuchtmittel 3 für einen Benutzer problemlos zugänglich. Im Bereich des freien Endes des ersten Seitenabschnitts 25 ist ein einwärts weisender Vorsprung 27 vorgesehen, der einen Anschlag für das Leuchtmittel 3 bildet. Die Seitenabschnitte 25 und 26 sind jeweils an ihrer Außenseite mit einer nutförmigen Aussparung 28, 29 versehen, die wiederum mit den länglichen Vorsprüngen 13 und 14 des Profils 2 unter Erzeugung einer lösbaren Rastverbindung zusammenwirken. Der zweite Seitenabschnitt 26 der Streuscheibenabdeckung 5 weist im Bereich seines freien Endes einen in Richtung des ersten Seitenabschnitts 25 zurückspringenden Bereich 30 auf, der derart ausgebildet ist, dass die Außenfläche des entsprechend vorspringenden Bereiches 31 des zweiten Seitenabschnitts 26 im bestimmungsgemäß angeordneten Zustand im Wesentlichen bündig mit der Außenfläche des benachbart angeordneten Seitenschenkels 11 des Profils 2 abschließt, wie es in

Das Profilsystem 1 weist den Vorteil auf, dass es sowohl eine Schutzwirkung für die Kanten der angrenzend verlegten Platten entfaltet als auch eine Beleuchtung schafft, die beispielsweise als Voutenbeleuchtung einer Decke, als Sockelbeleuchtung eines Bodens oder dergleichen eingesetzt werden kann. Durch entsprechende Wahl der Streuscheibenabdeckungen 4 und 5 können zudem unterschiedliche Lichteffekte erzielt werden. Darüber hinaus kann das Profilsystem 1 preiswert hergestellt und einfach gehandhabt werden.
Claims (15)
- A profile system (1) for finishing or defining a tile covering (33) provided over
a base (33), comprising- at least one elongate profile (2) that has a fastening arm (6) and a profile section (9) adjoining the latter which has a defining arm (10) extending transversely, in particular at right angles, to the fastening arm (6) and two side arms (11, 12),- at least one illuminant (3), that in the correct state is disposed in the receiving space defined by the substantially U-shaped profile section (9), and- at least one elongate diffusion disc cover (4, 5) that can be secured to the profile (2),characterised in that the side arms (11, 12) extend transversely, in particular at right angles, to the free ends of the defining arm (10) and are arranged lying opposite one another. - The profile system (1) according to Claim 1, characterised in that the profile (2) is an extruded profile with a consistent cross-section.
- The profile system (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the profile (2) is produced from aluminium or stainless steel.
- The profile system (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the fastening arm (6) has through holes (7) arranged along its length, spaced apart from one another.
- The profile system (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that a fleece or a fabric is fastened to the rear side of the fastening arm (6).
- The profile system (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that fastening means which cooperate with one another are provided on the diffusion disc cover (4, 5) and on the profile (2).
- The profile system (1) according to Claim 6, characterised in that the fastening means are made in one piece with the profile (2) and the diffusion disc cover (4, 5).
- The profile system (1) according to Claim 7, characterised in that the fastening means define a manually releasable snap-on connection and in particular are provided in the form of protrusions (13, 14) and recesses (21, 22; 28, 29) that engage with one another.
- The profile system (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the diffusion disc cover (4, 5) has a base section (16; 24) and two side sections (17, 18; 25, 26) projecting from the latter and arranged lying opposite one another.
- The profile system (1) according to Claim 9, characterised in that the first side section (17; 25) is longer than the second side section (18; 26), in the correctly arranged state the illuminant (3) being fastened to the inside of the region of the first side section (17; 25) which projects over the second side section (18; 26).
- The profile system (1) according to Claim 10, characterised in that in the region of the free end of the first side section (17; 25) an inwardly pointing protrusion (20; 27) is provided which serves as a stop for the illuminant (3).
- The profile system (1) according to any of Claims 9 to 11, characterised in that in the correct state the base section (16) of the diffusion disc cover (4) terminates flush with the free ends of the side arms (11, 12) of the profile (2).
- The profile system (1) according to any of Claims 9 to 11, characterised in that the second side section (26) of the diffusion disc cover (5) has in the region of its free end a region (30) receding towards the first side section (25) which is configured such that, in the correctly arranged state, the outer surface of the projecting region (31) of the second side section (26) terminates substantially flush with the outer surface of the adjacently arranged side arm (11) of the profile (2).
- The profile system (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the illuminant (3) is elongate in form, in particular in the form of a strip or a chain with a plurality of LEDs arranged over the latter.
- The profile system (1) according to any of Claims 9-13, characterised in that the illuminant (3) is designed and arranged such that, in the correctly arranged state, light is irradiated towards the base section (16; 24) of the diffusion disc cover (4; 5).
