- Each blade 14 is of length slightly less than the length of the sleeve body 2.
- the body 2 is rigid in the vicinity of the grooves.
- each anchoring blade 14 comprises a sill 7.
- the section of the sill 7 is rectangular and complementary to the section of the groove 12 corresponding.
- Protruding from one side 15 of the sill 7, visible at the top of the anchoring blades 14 on the Figures 2 to 7 are anchoring teeth 16.
- These anchor teeth 16 are oriented transversely to the longitudinal direction 8, are of triangular section and here all have the same height.

- the outer anchor blades 14 are disposed on both sides and at equal distance from the anchoring blade 14 located in the center.
- This crimping operation is carried out using a punch with tapered end. Punching is done on the end portion of the sleeve body 2 located between the anchoring blades 14, and on both sides external anchor blades 14. The material tongues 19 thus formed hold the anchor blades 14 in place.
- the material languages 19 as well as the marks 20 left by the punch marks are represented at the figure 7 (not shown in the other figures for the sake of simplicity).
- the electrical cables 30 to be connected are of the type comprising a conductor core formed of strands. If they have a coating of insulating material, the electrical cables 30 are stripped on their portion to be inserted into the sleeve 1. For simplicity, the strands are not shown in the drawings.
- first electrical cable 30 is inserted into the first cavity 3a and one end of a second electrical cable 30 into the second cavity 3b.
- the electric cables 30 are pressed against the anchoring teeth 16. These then penetrate between the strands of the conductive core.
- the clamping screws 5 are of the self-breaking type, that is to say that the head of these clamping screws 5 breaks automatically when a predetermined tightening torque is reached. This makes it possible at the same time to avoid tightening too tightly the cables to be connected, such as the cables 30, and to make the connection between the cables 30 operated by the sleeve 1 inviolable.
- the anchoring blades 14 serve both to electrically connect the two cables 30 inserted in the connecting sleeve 1 and to immobilize them mechanically.
- transverse orientation of the teeth offers excellent resistance to pull-out, which makes it possible to use the sleeve 1 at a time to make an electrical connection and a mechanical connection, for example for overhead or underground cables. a distribution network of electricity.
- the anchoring teeth 16 have a height of between 0.3 and 1.5 mm; and preferably between 0.6 and 0.8 mm because this last range corresponds to about 1/3 to 2/3 of the diameter of the strands of the electric cables conventionally used in the electricity distribution networks.
- the electrical cables 30 allowed in the sleeve 1 may have a diameter less than or equal to the diameter of a circle 31, visible at the figure 6 passing through the top of the anchoring teeth 16. After tightening, an electric cable 30 of the maximum permissible diameter will be pressed against the inner surface 9 and will marry the contour.
- the crimping operation aims to keep the anchoring blades 14 in the sleeve body 2 essentially during transport and handling. Once the electrical cables 30 are mounted, it is the tightening by the screws 5 which operates the anchoring of the electric cables 30 in the sleeve 1.
- the sleeve body 2 having the bore 3 and the grooves 12 is firstly drawn by spinning.
- the threads 4 are machined in a second step.
- the sleeve 1 is made of aluminum.
- the anchoring blades 14 are sheared in a brass strip a few millimeters thick.
- the variant of the sleeve 1 illustrated on the figure 8 is identical to the embodiment illustrated on the Figures 1 to 7 except that the outer grooves 12 are oriented towards the center of the longitudinal bore 3 at an angle to the centrally located groove 12.
- the inclination of the outer blades 14 makes it possible to orient the edge of the teeth 16 of these outer blades 14 along the circle 31.
- the variant of the sleeve 1 illustrated on the figure 9 is identical to the embodiment illustrated on the Figures 1 to 7 except that the centrally located blade 14 is removed.

Description
The invention relates to connection sleeves for electric cables.

The invention aims to provide a similar connecting sleeve that is simple, convenient and economical.

The invention proposes for this purpose a connection sleeve for electric cables comprising:
- a body in which is formed a longitudinal bore extending from a first orifice to a second orifice opposite to the first orifice, in a longitudinal direction, delimited by an internal surface, said body having threads opening radially in said longitudinal bore, said body having a groove set back from the inner surface of the longitudinal bore, said groove being oriented in the longitudinal direction,
- an anchoring blade of conductive material, housed in said groove, comprising a sill and, emerging from the sill towards the inside of the longitudinal bore, anchoring teeth oriented transversely to said longitudinal direction, and
- clamping screws each engaged in a respective thread,
said threads being configured so that the clamping screws press the ends of the cables onto the anchor teeth, said anchor teeth being configured to penetrate into the conductive core of said electrical cables,
characterized in that said body further comprises said groove, called first groove, a second groove similar to the first groove, and in that the sleeve further comprises said anchor blade, referred to as the first anchor blade, a second anchor blade of conductive material similar to the first anchor blade, said second blade anchor being housed in the second groove, said body being rigid in the vicinity of said grooves.
Although it is surprising because of the rigidity of the sleeve body in the vicinity of each groove housing an anchoring blade, the sleeve according to the invention offers excellent mechanical strength of the cables, including during the temperature changes thereof. .
This seems to be due to the fact that there is enough space between the fixing screws to allow the contraction and expansion of the cables. Indeed, to allow the introduction of the cable into the sleeve, the diameter of the internal cavity is greater than that of the cable, at least the height of the teeth, which leaves a relatively large place.
Because there are more points of contact between the anchor blades and the cables, the sleeve according to the invention offers excellent quality of electrical connection and mechanical connection.
The grooves of the sleeve body according to the invention having a single section, the sleeve according to the invention, although it comprises more blades than the aforementioned sleeve, is simple, convenient and economical to manufacture.

One end of a first
The clamping screws 5 are of the self-breaking type, that is to say that the head of these clamping
The
It should be noted that the transverse orientation of the teeth offers excellent resistance to pull-out, which makes it possible to use the
Here, where the
It should also be noted that the crimping operation aims to keep the
As regards the manufacture, the
The

In the absence of the
In a variant not shown, the sleeve comprises another pair of
Thus, in this variant, there is also a balanced co-operation of the
In other variants, the anchor blades are in number greater than four, for example five or six; and / or the screws such that there are no more than four numbers, for example two or six.
In variants not shown, the
In other variants not shown, the anchor blades are made of another electrically conductive material (the electrical connection between the cables within the sleeve is essentially by the anchor blades), for example copper hard, hard aluminum or steel.
In other variants not shown, the partition such as 13 is integral with at least one of the blades such as 14.
