Das Vertikalelement 2, 6, 6' kann weiterhin vorzugsweise in einem unteren Bereich eine (in den Figuren nicht gezeigte) weitere Leuchte aufweisen, die zur Lichtabgabe nach unten oder nach schräg unten ausgebildet ist. Durch eine solche Leuchte lässt sich besonders vorteilhaft eine dezente Beleuchtung des Zimmers, beispielsweise als Nacht- oder Orientierungslicht realisieren. Vorteilhaft kann vorgesehen sein, dass sich das Vertikalelement 2, 6, 6' nicht ganz bis zum Boden des Zimmers erstreckt sondern, einige Zentimeter, beispielsweise zwischen 5 und 20 cm vom Boden beabstandet ist. In diesem Fall kann diese Leuchte vorteilhaft eine nach unten zum Boden weisende Lichtabgabefläche aufweisen. Ein entsprechender Abstand ist auch mit Bezug auf eine Reinigung des Bodens des Zimmers vorteilhaft.The

- Medical supply device for providing supply media, in particular of medical gases and power,
wherein the supply device is intended to be mounted on a wall with supply lines for the supply media, comprising- a first vertical element (2), which is elongated in form and is intended to be mounted vertically, wherein the first vertical element (2) comprises at least one first connecting element (4) for at least one of the media supplies,- a second vertical element (6), which is elongated in form and is adapted to be mounted vertically at a horizontal distance (α) from the first vertical element (2), wherein the second vertical element (6) comprises at least a second connecting element (8) for one of the supply media,- at least a first conduit (10) for conveying power, which is conductively connected to the at least first connecting element (4),- at least a second conduit (12) for conveying gas, which is conductively connected to the at least second connecting element (8),- a supply and distribution unit (14) with means for a conductive connection between the supply lines on the one hand and the at least first line (10) and the at least second line (12) on the other,characterised in that,
the supply and distribution unit (14) is part of the first vertical element (2). - Medical supply device according to claim 1,
wherein the supply and distribution unit (14) comprises a sub-distributor, in particular a distribution box. - Medical supply device according to claim 1 or 2, further comprising- a cross-connection element (16) which is arranged to connect an upper region of the first vertical element (2) with an upper region of the second vertical element (6).

wherein the cross-connection element (16) has at least one lamp (30, 32). - Medical supply device according to claim 4,
wherein the at least one lamp is a reading lamp (30) with a predominantly downward or obliquely downward light output. - Medical supply device according to claim 4 or 5,
wherein the at least one lamp is a room lamp (32) with a predominantly horizontal or obliquely upward directed light output. - Medical supply device according to claim 6,
wherein the room light (32) comprises a reflector (34) which serves to direct the light produced by a luminous means (36) of the room lamp (32) asymmetrically upwards or obliquely upwards. - Medical supply device according to one of the preceding claims,
wherein the first vertical element (2) comprises two vertical supporting elements (20, 22) and at least one cladding element (24) connected to one of the two supporting elements (20, 22) or with both supporting elements (20, 22), preferably via a catch connection. - Medical supply device according to claim 8,
wherein the at least one first connecting element (4, A) is attached to one of the supporting elements (20, 22) or both supporting elements (20, 22), but not to the cladding element (24). - Medical supply device according to one of the preceding claims, further comprising- at least one skirting protection element (40) to reduce the risk of damage to the first and/or second vertical elements (2, 6, 6'), for example, by a patient's bed, wherein the skirting protection element (40) is preferably formed by a separate profile element.
- Medical supply device according to one of the preceding claims, further comprising- a lamp in a lower section of the first or second vertical elements (2, 6, 6'), which is designed to emit light downwards or obliquely downwards.
