Claims (10)

  1. System for insulating buildings from the outside, comprising :
    - insulating elements (1)
    - covered with sheets of cladding (2), which are fixed onto

    in which the insulating elements (1) and the section pieces (5) are held by brackets (3) comprising a substantially flat first part (31) for bearing against and attaching to the wall (0) that is to be insulated and a substantially flat second part (32) for bearing against, holding and fixing, for a substantially flat first part (51) of the section pieces (5) which comprise a substantially flat second part (52) for bearing against the sheets of cladding (2), and the brackets (3) are made of a material with a thermal conductivity of 0.5 W/m.K at most,
    characterized in that the section pieces (5) are T-sections or L-sections in which:
    - a leg part (51) is intended to be fixed bearing against a flat part (32) of a bracket (3), some adjustable distance from a wall (0) that is to be insulated, and
    - a top part (52) constitutes a flat surface for bearing against a sheet of cladding (2); the top part comprising one or two turned-back flanges (53).
  2. Insulating system according to Claim 1, characterized in that the section pieces (5) are vertical and the second part (32) of the brackets (3) is positioned vertically.
  3. Insulating system according to either of the preceding claims, characterized in that the second part (32) of the brackets (3) is doubled by forming a slit (34) intended to accept at least an end fraction of the first part (51) of the section pieces (5).
  4. Insulating system according to Claim 3, characterized in that the slit (34) describes a line of symmetry of the free end of the second part (32) of the brackets (3).
  5. Insulating system according to Claim 3, characterized in that the section pieces (5) are fixed to the brackets (3) using three aligned holes in the two walls of the slit (34) and in the first part (51) of the section pieces, respectively.
  6. Insulating system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the brackets (3) have a minimum shear strength of 700 N and a minimum tensile strength of 2000 N.
  7. Insulating system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the brackets are made of a fiber-reinforced resin composite and have, at least near one surface, a structure with fibers directed mainly parallel to said surface, notably derived from a mat or web of fibers impregnated with resin.
  8. Insulating system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the bracket (3) is made of a material that does not contribute to sustaining fire and has at least five minutes' resistance to direct exposure to fire.
  9. Insulating system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the bracket (3) is made of epoxy resin, polyester such as isophthalic, vinyl ester, polyimide, phenolic, polyetheretherketone, polyaryletherketone, polyphenylene sulfide, polyarylsulfone, polyethersulfone, silicone, phthalonitrile resin, alone or in mixtures of several of these resins, notably filled with glass, aramid or carbon fibers, or with additives such as fire retardants.
  10. Insulating system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the insulating elements (1) are based on mineral wool with a density of at most 50 kg/m3, preferably of between 7 and 40 kg/m3.
