Definitions
- the invention relates to an underfloor device socket for electrical installation devices, with a housing, a cover and a hinge connecting the housing and the cover.
- underfloor device sockets are installed flush with the floor and have a cover, usually provided with a cord outlet, which can be opened in order to make the installation devices, for example sockets, data sockets and the like, installed in the underfloor device socket accessible.
- the German patent specification DE 727 694 describes a housing and a hinged cover for electrical devices, in particular for sockets.
- the hinged cover has two webs arranged parallel to one another, with outwardly projecting pins being provided in the region of the free ends of the webs.
- the housing in turn also has two webs with journal bearings that match the journals. If the two webs of the hinged cover are pressed together, the two webs of the hinged cover can be inserted between the two webs of the housing. If you then let go of the webs of the hinged cover, they spring outwards and the pivot pins of the webs of the hinged cover are received in the journal bearings of the webs of the housing and the hinged cover is thereby pivotally mounted on the housing.
- a hinged lid for a socket is known in which two hinged and mutually displaceable pins are provided in the hinged lid.
- the pins form a hinge axis for the hinged cover.
- the two pins are pressed towards one another and the hinged cover is brought into its intended position on the socket housing. If the pins are then released, they move into suitable pin bearings on the socket housing and thereby define a pivot axis for the hinged cover on the socket housing.
- a further hinge which has a hinge member with two pivot pins which are displaceable relative to the hinge member.
- the pivot pins are in their outer position by means of compression springs cocked and can be moved into the inwardly shifted position by means of an operating lever.
- a hinged lid for a socket is known in which the lid is provided with two pivot pins. At least one of the hinge pins is spring-biased into its outer position and can be moved into an inner position against the action of the spring.
- the invention is intended to improve an underfloor box for electrical installation devices.
- an underfloor device socket with the features of claim 1 is provided for this.
- An underfloor device socket for electrical installation devices is provided with a housing, a cover and a hinge connecting the housing and the cover, the hinge defining two spaced-apart, parallel pivot axes, a hinge member extending between the two pivot axes and the housing and the cover connects to one another, at least one hinge pin or at least one journal bearing being arranged on the hinge member, the hinge member having at least two components which can be displaced relative to one another parallel to the pivot axis, and wherein the hinge pin and the journal bearing can be displaced relative to one another parallel to the pivot axis between an engagement position and a release position ,
- the cover of the underfloor device socket can be removed in a simple manner, namely by bringing the pivot pin and the pin bearing into the release position.
- an electrician can thus completely remove the cover remove so that the interior of the underfloor device box is easily accessible. Since the cover is completely removed, the electrician does not have to worry that the cover closes in an uncontrolled manner during the work.
- a detachable hinge which is characterized by the displaceability of at least one hinge pin and at least one pin bearing relative to one another parallel to the pivot axis between an engaging position and a release position, it is surprisingly easy to make the interior of the underfloor device box very accessible during installation work to enable.
- the pivot pin and the pin bearing can be displaced relative to one another in a simple manner.
- the two displaceable components of the hinge member can preferably be pressed together by hand without tools in order to be able to detach the hinge member and thus the cover in a simple manner. It is possible to design the hinge member so that it is both can be detached from the cover and from the housing of the underfloor box. This facilitates the assembly of the underfloor box.
- the hinge member can be designed such that it only detaches from the cover or only from the housing of the underfloor device box when the two components are relatively displaced. This has the advantage of a captive arrangement of the hinge.
- the two components of the hinge member that are displaceable relative to one another are configured identically to one another.
- the hinge member essentially consists of two identical components and can therefore be constructed inexpensively.
- the two components of the hinge member which are displaceable relative to one another are each provided with at least one pivot pin or journal bearing.
- the hinge member is pivotably articulated on the cover and / or on the housing of the underfloor device socket with two components that can be displaced relative to one another.
- one or the other component can, for example, first be unhooked from the cover and / or the housing. This facilitates the handling of the underfloor device box according to the invention.
- the two components of the hinge member which are displaceable relative to one another are each provided with two pivot pins or journal bearings, the pivot pins or journal bearings defining two different pivot axes.
- the lid can be articulated on the housing of the underfloor device box via two pivot axes.
- the hinge can be arranged invisibly to a user when the lid is closed, and yet it is possible to fit the lid and housing into one another with very small tolerances. Since each of the two components of the hinge member each has two pivot pins or journal bearings, the hinge member can be unhooked simultaneously on both pivot axes on the cover and on the housing. This also facilitates the handling of the underfloor device box according to the invention.
- the hinge has at least one compression spring, the compression spring being arranged between the two components of the hinge member which can be displaced relative to one another.
- the hinge can be pretensioned into the engaging position in a very simple manner by means of a compression spring, so that safe use of the underfloor device socket according to the invention is ensured.
- the two components which are displaceable relative to one another each have at least one guide pin and / or at least one bore which matches the guide pin, the guide pin and bore being arranged parallel to the at least one pivot pin or journal bearing.
- the hinge member can consist at least in sections of fiber-reinforced plastic or of die-cast zinc.
- the formation of the hinge member at least in sections from fiber-reinforced plastic or from die-cast zinc enables it to be produced in large quantities.
- the hinge member can be designed so that it can withstand high loads and in particular bending moments when opening, closing and installing and removing the cover.
- the at least one journal bearing has an elongated hole-like bearing bore.
- the provision of an elongated hole-like bearing bore enables the hinge to be designed with play. This makes it possible to deviate slightly from a pure pivoting movement about the pivot axes when closing and opening the cover. As a result, the cover can be fitted into the housing with very small tolerances without the hinge having to be designed in such a way that it enables a defined displacement movement of the cover relative to the housing.
- the underfloor device box according to the invention can thereby easily fulfill all the required functions and yet be designed inexpensively.
- the slot-like bearing bore has a semicircular end adapted to the diameter of the bearing journal, and the slot-like bearing bore widens starting from the semicircular end.
- the bearing bore can be easily produced by plastic injection molding.
- the bearing bore can be formed in this way in a plastic injection molded part without using sliders in the injection mold.
- the widening slot-like bearing bore facilitates demolding.
- the at least one journal bearing is formed by means of a U-type bearing bracket.
- journal bearing can also be carried out, for example, by means of plastic injection molding.
- U-type bracket is a little dirt-sensitive bearing, which is a significant advantage especially with underfloor boxes that are used at floor level.
- the U-type bearing bracket has a separating slot approximately in the region of its base.
- the bearing bracket is protected against overstressing in that the pivot pin can emerge from the bearing bracket through the then widened separating slot.
- the legs of the U-shaped bearing bracket must be designed to be elastic, at least in sections, in order to enable the separating slot to be widened by means of the bearing journal. This allows the hinge to be released when force is used, but without destroying it.
- the hinge advantageously has two parallel pivot axes spaced apart from one another, a hinge member extending between the two pivot axes, and at least one stop being provided to fix an end position of the hinge member and / or the cover.
- the hinge member and / or the cover By providing such a stop, it can be ensured that the hinge member and / or the cover always falls back into a defined starting position, which can correspond to the closed position.
- a deflection can be used to prevent it from falling radially inward. Instead, it is ensured that the hinge member, following gravity, falls back towards its closed position when the cover is released to the outside.
- the hinge defines two mutually parallel pivot axes, the second pivot axis being arranged adjacent to an underside of the cover and the first pivot axis being arranged on the housing and in the installed position of the underfloor device box and with the cover closed both in the vertical direction and in the horizontal direction is spaced from the second pivot axis.
- a hinge member is thereby inclined when the cover is completely closed, the second pivot axis arranged on the housing advantageously being offset inwards relative to the first pivot axis arranged on the cover, towards a center of the housing.
- the hinge member is advantageously arranged at an angle between 40 ° and 50 ° to an upper side of the cover. In this way, the lid can be opened even though an upper side of the lid is aligned with an upper side of the housing in the closed state.
- such an arrangement of the hinge axes enables the cover to be accommodated in a pot-like upper part of the housing.
- the cover is fitted into the pot-like upper part of the housing with small tolerances in order to prevent moisture and / or dirt from getting into the interior of the underfloor device socket when the cover is closed penetrates.
- it can also be provided to provide a seal against the ingress of moisture between the cover and the housing.
- the representation of the Fig. 1 shows an underfloor device box 10 according to the invention.
- the underfloor device box 10 has a housing 12 and a cover 14.
- the cover 14 and the housing 12 are shown in a partially opened state.
- the housing 12 is provided for the installation of installation devices, not shown, for example energy sockets or data sockets.
- the installation devices are mounted in a known manner in locking conductors, these locking conductors being shown in the illustration of Fig. 1 are not shown for the sake of clarity.
- the housing 12 has a peripheral edge 16 which, in the installed state, rests with its underside on a floor surface.
- the circumferential edge 16 is followed by a likewise circumferential, approximately annular wall 18, which then merges into a bottom edge 20, the circumferential edge 16, the wall 18 and the bottom edge 20 defining an approximately pot-like upper part of the housing 12.
- the lid 14 is inserted in the closed state.
- the cover is also essentially circular and has a peripheral wall 22, which in the closed state is then arranged parallel to the wall 18 of the housing 12.
- the lid 14 and the housing 12 are by means of a Hinge member 24 pivotally connected.
- the hinge member 24 consists of two components 26, 28 which are displaceable relative to one another, the components 26, 28 being shown in FIG Fig. 1 can be moved towards each other. In their in Fig. 1 shown engagement position, the components 26, 28 are biased by a compression spring 30.
- the representation of the Fig. 2 shows the underfloor box 10 of Fig. 1 in sections and with the cover 14 fully open.
- the cover 14 is oriented approximately perpendicular to the housing 12 in the fully open position. Stops 32 limit a pivot angle of the hinge member 24 so that it does not move inward Fig. 2 to the bottom left, can fold.
- the housing 12 is provided with two U-shaped bearing brackets 34, in which in Fig. 2 engage non-recognizable hinge pin of the hinge member 24.
- the two bearing brackets 34 thereby define a first pivot axis about which the hinge member 24 can rotate.
- the bearing brackets 34 are each provided with a separating slot 36 in the region of their base.
- the two legs of the U-shaped bearing bracket are moreover at least partially elastic, so that an excessive force on the hinge member 24, in the illustration of the Fig. 2 upwards, the pivot pin can expand the U-shaped bearing bracket 34 and can ultimately emerge through the separating slots 36.
- the bracket 34 are protected from destruction.
- the lid 14 is also provided with two bearing brackets 38, the illustration in FIG Fig. 2 only a bearing bracket 38 can be seen.
- the hinge member 24 also engages in the bearing bracket 38 on the cover 14 Fig. 2 an unrecognizable pivot pin.
- the bearing bracket 38 on the cover 14 thereby define a second pivot axis about which the hinge member 24 can be pivoted relative to the cover 14.
- a hinge between the housing 12 and cover 14 is thus formed by the bearing bracket 34 on the housing 12, the hinge member 24 and the bearing bracket 38 on the cover 14.
- the representation of the Fig. 3 shows the underfloor device box 10 with the cover fully open, the two components 26, 28 of the hinge member 24 being moved towards one another against the force of the compression spring 30 until they abut one another. In this position, two pivot pins 40, 42 on component 26 are now completely pulled out of bearing brackets 34, 38 on housing 12 and on cover 14, respectively. It is in the view of the Fig. 3 easy to see that the lid 14 can now be detached from the housing 12, for example by the hinge member 24, starting from the in Fig. 3 shown position, is tilted slightly counterclockwise, so that the pivot pin on the component 28 from the in Fig. 3 left bracket 34 on the housing 12 can be pulled out. Alternatively, only the cover 14 in the illustration of FIG Fig. 3 can be tilted counterclockwise, so that then the lid 14 in the illustration of the Fig. 3 can be moved to the left, so that the pivot pin on the component 28 from the in Fig. 3 left bracket 38 moved out.
- the cover 14 can be removed from the housing 12 in a very simple manner. For this it is only necessary to compress the two components 26, 28 of the hinge member 24 against the action of the spring 30 until the pivot pins 40, 42 are moved out of the respectively assigned bearing brackets 34, 38.
- the two components 26, 28 of the hinge member 24 can be pressed together with two fingers of one hand, while the other hand holds the lid 14 in the open position.
- the cover 14 can thus be removed from the housing 12 quickly and easily for installation or maintenance work. After removing the cover 14 is the entire interior of the housing 12 is freely accessible, for example to carry out installation or maintenance work or also to initially install the housing 12 in a suitable recess in a floor.
- the representation of the Fig. 4 shows a sectional view of the underfloor device box 10 of FIG Fig. 1 ,
- the cover 14 is shown in the completely closed state, in which an upper side 50 of the cover 14 is arranged in alignment with an upper side 52 of the housing 12.
- the top 52 of the housing 12 is formed by an annular surface on the peripheral edge 16.
- the stops 32 restrict movement of the hinge member 24 in Fig. 4 counterclockwise and thereby ensure that the hinge member 24 does not fold in the direction of the interior of the underfloor device box 10, that is to say radially inwards.
- An approximately rectangular recess 60 on the hinge member 24 only serves to create space for anchoring a locking conductor, not shown, to the housing 12.
- the two components 26, 28 of the hinge member 24 consist of fiber-reinforced plastic or of die-cast zinc.
- the guide rods 54, 58 can either consist of fiber-reinforced plastic or of metal.
- the hinge member 24 is shown with the two components 26, 28 and the compression spring 30.
- the guide rod 56 of the component 26 extends into a matching guide bore 58 of the component 28 and the guide rod 54 of the component 28 extends into the matching guide bore 62 in the component 26.
- the components 26, 28 are identical to one another and each have a first pivot pin 40 and a second pivot pin 42.
- the pivot pins 40 on the components 26, 28 are in the assembled state of the hinge member 24, as shown in FIG Fig. 5 is shown in alignment with each other and define, see Fig. 3 , together with the bracket 34 on the housing 12, the first pivot axis.
- the representation of the Fig. 6 shows the hinge member 24 with the two components 26, 28 in the pulled-apart state.
- the compression spring 30 is received in each of the components 26, 28 in a spring bore 64 and thereby extends to a certain extent into the components 26, 28.
- the spring 30 is thereby securely received in the components 26, 28.
- the two components 26, 28 are moved towards each other until the state of the Fig. 5 is reached and thus the guide rod 54 of the component 28 in the guide bore 62 of the component 26 engages and the guide rod 56 of the component 26 engages in the guide bore 58 of the component 28.
- the two components 26, 28 are then moved further toward one another until the mutually facing end faces of the components 26, 28 abut one another, as in FIG Fig. 3 is shown.
- the hinge member 24 can then be inserted into one of the bearing brackets 34, 38 on the housing 12 or on the cover 14.
- FIG. 7 shows a top view of the underfloor device socket 10 according to the invention Fig. 1 with lid fully closed 14.
- Fig. 7 a section line VIII-VIII can be seen.
- the section VIII-VIII runs through the in Fig. 3 each bearing bracket 34, 38 shown on the right on the housing 12 or on the cover 14.
- the bearing bracket 34 can be seen on the housing 12, in which the pivot pin 40 of the component 26 is received.
- the lid 14 is in the state of Fig. 8 completely closed, so that its upper side 50 is arranged parallel to the upper side 52 of the housing 12 and the cover 14 is thus received in the pot-shaped upper part of the housing 12.
- the bearing bracket 34 is formed by two legs 66, 68 which are elastic and are separated from one another by the separating slot 36.
- A acts on the pivot pin 40 in Fig. 8 upward facing strong force, the pivot pin 40 pushes the two legs 66, 68 apart and can thereby move out of the bracket 34.
- the force required to move the pivot pin 40 out of the bearing bracket 34 in this way is such that it is far above the forces that usually occur when opening and closing the cover 14, but is still below a force at which the pivot pin 40 shears off the component 26.
- the hinge member 24 can thereby be separated from the housing 12 without fear of damage to the hinge member 24 or the housing 12 if an operator intentionally or unintentionally lets excessive forces act on the cover 14.
- the bearing bracket 34 has a semicircular end, in which in the illustration of the Fig. 8 the pivot pin 40 is arranged. Starting from this semicircular end region, a bearing bore in the bearing bracket 34 widens. As in Fig. 8 it can be seen that a lower end of the component 26 is semicircular, that is to say runs parallel to an outer side of the pivot pin 40 and lies on a bottom surface 70 of the housing 12. As a result, the pivot pin 40 remains in the case of a pivoting movement of the component 26 or of the hinge member 24 Fig. 8 position shown.
- Bearing surfaces of the hinge bearing are thus formed on the one hand by an outer side of the pivot pin 40 and the semicircular end region of the bearing bracket 34 and on the other hand by the semicircular lower end of the component 26 and the bottom surface 70 of the housing 12.
- the mounting of the component 26 with the pivot pin 42 in the bearing bracket 38 on the cover 14 is designed in the same way.
- the housing 12 has a through opening below the bearing bracket 34.
- the bearing bracket 34 can thus be demolded in a simple manner after the injection molding of the housing 12 and especially the injection mold for producing the bearing bracket 34 can do without a slide.
- Fig. 8 the bearing bracket 38 can be seen on the cover 14, in which the pivot pin 42 of the component 26 is received.
- the bracket 38 is U-shaped and, unlike the bracket 34, is not provided with a separating slot. In the event of excessive use of force on the cover 14, the hinge member 24 will thus only detach from the housing 12, but not from the cover 14. The bearing bracket 38 is therefore so stable that it is not deformed or damaged at a force sufficient to move the pivot pin 40 out of the bearing bracket 34 on the housing 12.
- the bracket 38 has a bearing bore with a semicircular end, in which in the state of Fig. 8 the pivot pin 42 is located. Starting from this semicircular end, the bearing bore in the bearing bracket 38 widens. One end of the component 26 is semicircular and is therefore arranged parallel to an outer side of the pivot pin 42. This semicircular end of the component 26 rests on an underside 72 of the cover 14. Even when the cover 14 pivots relative to the hinge member 24, the pivot pin 42 thus remains in the region of the semicircular end of the bearing bracket 38.
- the hinge member 24 is arranged at an angle of approximately 45 ° obliquely to an upper side 50 of the lid 14 when the lid is completely closed.
- the hinge member 24 can thereby gradually rise, in the illustration of FIG Fig. 8 so turn counterclockwise.
- the cover 14 is shown in FIG Fig. 8 shifted a bit to the left and therefore also comes in the area of his Fig. 8 right end of the case 12 free.
- a first pivot axis 44 which is defined on the housing 12 by the pivot pin 40 and the bearing bracket 34, is arranged just above the surface 70 on the housing 12.
- the first pivot axis 44 is thereby spaced apart from the top 52 of the housing 12 in the vertical direction.
- the first pivot axis 44 is spaced in the radial direction from an outside of the housing 12 or the circumferential wall 18 of the housing 12 and, in contrast, is offset inwards.
- the second pivot axis 46 which is defined by the pivot pin 42 and the U-bracket 38 on the cover 14, is arranged below the top 50 of the cover 14 and is offset inwards in the radial direction from an outer edge of the cover 14. Compared to the first pivot axis 44, however, the second pivot axis 46 is offset less inward, so that in FIG Fig. 8 shown closed position of the lid 14, the hinge member 24, which connects the first and second pivot axes 44, 46, is arranged at an angle of 45 ° to the top of the lid 14.
- the first pivot axis 44 on the housing 12 is arranged below the cover 14, which is in the closed position, so that a length of the hinge member 24 is greater than a height of the cover 14.
- FIG. 9 shows a top view of the underfloor device socket 10 according to the invention with the lid 14 partially open.
- a recess 76 for a cord outlet can be seen, which is pivotably articulated on the lid 14. Even when the cover 14 is closed, supply lines can be led into the interior of the underfloor box 10 when the cord outlet is open.
- FIG. 9 A section line XX is shown, which is positioned in the same way as the section line VIII-VIII in FIG Fig. 7 ,
- the representation of the Fig. 10 shows a view of the section line XX in Fig. 9 , It can be seen that the cover 14 is partially open, so that its upper side 50 is at an angle of approximately 45 ° to an upper side 52 of the housing 12. An angle between the top 50 of the lid 14 and the hinge member 24 is now larger than when the lid is completely closed, see Fig. 8 , With the lid completely closed, as in Fig. 8 an angle between the hinge member 24 and the upper side 50 of the cover 14 is approximately 50 °, whereas with the cover partially open, as in FIG Fig. 10 is shown, this angle is more than 90 °, especially about 100 °.
- the representation of the Fig. 11 shows the underfloor box 10 of Fig. 1 in a top view with the lid 14 fully open.
- Fig. 11 is a section XII-XII drawn in, which is arranged relative to the underfloor box 10 the same as the section VIII-VIII in Fig. 7 and XX in Fig. 9 ,
- Fig. 12 shows a view of the section line XII-XII Fig. 11 ,
- the cover 14 is now in its fully open position, in which its upper side 50 is arranged approximately parallel to the hinge member 24.
- the top 50 of the lid 14 and a center plane of the hinge member 24 that passes through the first and second pivot axes 44, 46 are arranged at an angle of approximately 175 ° to 178 °.
- the second pivot axis 46 is in the in Fig. 12 shown fully open position of the cover 14 approximately at the level of the top 52 of the housing 12.
- the hinge member 24 forms an angle of slightly less than 90 ° to the surface 70 on the housing 12, which is arranged parallel to the upper side 52 of the housing 12, but offset in relation to the latter. in particular about 85 ° to 88 °.
- the hinge member 24 is in this, in Fig. 12 position shown blocked by the stops 32. In the representation of the Fig. 12 the hinge member 24 can thus only move clockwise relative to the housing 12.
- the cover 14 and especially the top 50 of the cover 14 is at an angle of slightly more than 90 ° to the top 52 of the housing 12, especially about 91 ° to 92 °.
- the lid 14 starting from the in Fig. 8 shown fully closed position, i.e. pivoted clockwise by a little more than 90 °.
- the lid 14 in the Fig. 12 released fully open position shown it will initially continue to rotate clockwise about the first pivot axis 44.
- the hinge member also rotates clockwise since the stops 32 prevent rotation counterclockwise, that is to say inwards.
- the lid 14 will then occupy an intermediate layer from which it can then be closed by hand.

The invention is intended to improve an underfloor box for electrical installation devices.
According to the invention, an underfloor device socket with the features of claim 1 is provided for this. An underfloor device socket for electrical installation devices is provided with a housing, a cover and a hinge connecting the housing and the cover, the hinge defining two spaced-apart, parallel pivot axes, a hinge member extending between the two pivot axes and the housing and the cover connects to one another, at least one hinge pin or at least one journal bearing being arranged on the hinge member, the hinge member having at least two components which can be displaced relative to one another parallel to the pivot axis, and wherein the hinge pin and the journal bearing can be displaced relative to one another parallel to the pivot axis between an engagement position and a release position ,
Through these measures, the cover of the underfloor device socket can be removed in a simple manner, namely by bringing the pivot pin and the pin bearing into the release position. When installing the installation devices, during renovation or maintenance work, an electrician can thus completely remove the cover remove so that the interior of the underfloor device box is easily accessible. Since the cover is completely removed, the electrician does not have to worry that the cover closes in an uncontrolled manner during the work. By using a detachable hinge, which is characterized by the displaceability of at least one hinge pin and at least one pin bearing relative to one another parallel to the pivot axis between an engaging position and a release position, it is surprisingly easy to make the interior of the underfloor device box very accessible during installation work to enable.
In this way, the pivot pin and the pin bearing can be displaced relative to one another in a simple manner. The two displaceable components of the hinge member can preferably be pressed together by hand without tools in order to be able to detach the hinge member and thus the cover in a simple manner. It is possible to design the hinge member so that it is both can be detached from the cover and from the housing of the underfloor box. This facilitates the assembly of the underfloor box. Alternatively, the hinge member can be designed such that it only detaches from the cover or only from the housing of the underfloor device box when the two components are relatively displaced. This has the advantage of a captive arrangement of the hinge.
In a further development of the invention, the two components of the hinge member that are displaceable relative to one another are configured identically to one another.
In this way, the number of components required can be reduced. For example, the hinge member essentially consists of two identical components and can therefore be constructed inexpensively.
In a further development of the invention, the two components of the hinge member which are displaceable relative to one another are each provided with at least one pivot pin or journal bearing.
In this way too, a structurally simple construction of the hinge member is possible, since the hinge member is pivotably articulated on the cover and / or on the housing of the underfloor device socket with two components that can be displaced relative to one another. Depending on the installation situation, one or the other component can, for example, first be unhooked from the cover and / or the housing. This facilitates the handling of the underfloor device box according to the invention.
In a further development of the invention, the two components of the hinge member which are displaceable relative to one another are each provided with two pivot pins or journal bearings, the pivot pins or journal bearings defining two different pivot axes.
In this way, with a structurally simple design of the hinge or the hinge member, the lid can be articulated on the housing of the underfloor device box via two pivot axes. By providing two pivot axes, the hinge can be arranged invisibly to a user when the lid is closed, and yet it is possible to fit the lid and housing into one another with very small tolerances. Since each of the two components of the hinge member each has two pivot pins or journal bearings, the hinge member can be unhooked simultaneously on both pivot axes on the cover and on the housing. This also facilitates the handling of the underfloor device box according to the invention.
In a development of the invention, the hinge has at least one compression spring, the compression spring being arranged between the two components of the hinge member which can be displaced relative to one another.
The hinge can be pretensioned into the engaging position in a very simple manner by means of a compression spring, so that safe use of the underfloor device socket according to the invention is ensured.
In a further development of the invention, the two components which are displaceable relative to one another each have at least one guide pin and / or at least one bore which matches the guide pin, the guide pin and bore being arranged parallel to the at least one pivot pin or journal bearing.
In this way, the two components can be brought together during a relative displacement of the pivot pin and the pivot bearing. The provision of a guide pin and a suitable hole represents a structurally simple, reliable and stable solution.
The hinge member can consist at least in sections of fiber-reinforced plastic or of die-cast zinc. The formation of the hinge member at least in sections from fiber-reinforced plastic or from die-cast zinc enables it to be produced in large quantities. At the same time, the hinge member can be designed so that it can withstand high loads and in particular bending moments when opening, closing and installing and removing the cover.
In a development of the invention, the at least one journal bearing has an elongated hole-like bearing bore.
The provision of an elongated hole-like bearing bore enables the hinge to be designed with play. The underfloor device box according to the invention can thereby easily fulfill all the required functions and yet be designed inexpensively.
In a development of the invention, the slot-like bearing bore has a semicircular end adapted to the diameter of the bearing journal, and the slot-like bearing bore widens starting from the semicircular end.
In this way, the bearing bore can be easily produced by plastic injection molding. With a corresponding arrangement of the bearing bore above a through opening, for example one Through hole in the housing, the bearing bore can be formed in this way in a plastic injection molded part without using sliders in the injection mold. The widening slot-like bearing bore facilitates demolding.
In a further development of the invention, the at least one journal bearing is formed by means of a U-type bearing bracket.
In this way, a structurally simple realization of the journal bearing can be achieved, which can also be carried out, for example, by means of plastic injection molding. In addition, a U-type bracket is a little dirt-sensitive bearing, which is a significant advantage especially with underfloor boxes that are used at floor level.
In a further development of the invention, the U-type bearing bracket has a separating slot approximately in the region of its base.
In this way, the bearing bracket is protected against overstressing in that the pivot pin can emerge from the bearing bracket through the then widened separating slot. For this purpose, the legs of the U-shaped bearing bracket must be designed to be elastic, at least in sections, in order to enable the separating slot to be widened by means of the bearing journal. This allows the hinge to be released when force is used, but without destroying it.
The hinge advantageously has two parallel pivot axes spaced apart from one another, a hinge member extending between the two pivot axes, and at least one stop being provided to fix an end position of the hinge member and / or the cover.
By providing such a stop, it can be ensured that the hinge member and / or the cover always falls back into a defined starting position, which can correspond to the closed position. Using the example of the hinge member, a deflection can be used to prevent it from falling radially inward. Instead, it is ensured that the hinge member, following gravity, falls back towards its closed position when the cover is released to the outside.
In a further development of the invention, the hinge defines two mutually parallel pivot axes, the second pivot axis being arranged adjacent to an underside of the cover and the first pivot axis being arranged on the housing and in the installed position of the underfloor device box and with the cover closed both in the vertical direction and in the horizontal direction is spaced from the second pivot axis.
In a side view of the underfloor device socket, a hinge member is thereby inclined when the cover is completely closed, the second pivot axis arranged on the housing advantageously being offset inwards relative to the first pivot axis arranged on the cover, towards a center of the housing. When the cover is closed, the hinge member is advantageously arranged at an angle between 40 ° and 50 ° to an upper side of the cover. In this way, the lid can be opened even though an upper side of the lid is aligned with an upper side of the housing in the closed state. In particular, such an arrangement of the hinge axes enables the cover to be accommodated in a pot-like upper part of the housing. This is particularly advantageous if the cover is fitted into the pot-like upper part of the housing with small tolerances in order to prevent moisture and / or dirt from getting into the interior of the underfloor device socket when the cover is closed penetrates. For example, it can also be provided to provide a seal against the ingress of moisture between the cover and the housing.
