Auch möglich ist, dass der Positionierer während des eigentlichen Crimpvorganges während der plastischen Verformung des Steckers die relative Position und Ausrichtung des Steckers gegenüber dem Gesenk und dem Leiterende sichert. - Pliers head (18) for crimping pliers (19) witha) at least two dies (37a, 37b) for crimping a connector (1) andb) a locator (6) with at least one accommodation (5) for a connector (1), whereinba) by the locator (6) it is possible to hold a connector (1) located in an accommodation (5) in a predetermined position and/or orientation relative to the die (37) andbb) the locator (6) can be moved relatively to the die (37) andc) the locator (6) comprises a first accommodation (5; 5a) where the widths of the first accommodation (5; 5a) is at least as large as the distance (2) between a first die (37a) and an adjacent second die (37b),d) where a first operating position (14) of the locator (6) is provided in which the first accommodation (5) of the locator (6) is in a predetermined position and/or orientation behind the first die (37a),e) a second operating position (15) of the locator (6) is provided in whichea) the first accommodation (5) of the locator (6) oreb) a second accommodation (5b) of the locateor (6)is in a predetermined position and/or orientation behind the second die (37b),
characterized byf) the locator (6) being pivotable or displaceable along a translatory degree of freedom (12) between the first and second operating position (14; 15). - Pliers head (18) of claim 1, wherein it is possible to latch or lock the locator (6) in the first and/or second operating position (14, 15).
- Pliers head (18) of claim 1, wherein the locator (6) can be displaced between the first and second operating position (14; 15) along a translatory degree of freedom (12), characterized by the locator (6) comprising an accommodation (5) which is located behind the first die (37a) in the first operating position (14) and behind the second die (37b) in the second operating position (15).
- Pliers head (18) of claim 1, wherein the locator (6) can be pivoted between the first and second operating position (14; 15), characterized by the locator being formed by a revolver (34).
- Pliers head (18) of claim 4, wherein in the first operating position of the revolver (34) the first accommodation (5a) is located behind the first die (37a) and in the second operating position of the revolver (34) the second accommodation (5b) is located behind the second die (37b).
- Pliers head (18) of claim 1 wherein the locator (6) can be displaced along a translatory degree of freedom (12) between the first and second operating position (14; 15), or pliers head (18) of claim 3, wherein the path passed by the locator (6) between the first operating position (14) and the second operating position (15) is larger than the distance between the first die (37a) and the adjacent second die (37b).
