Abstract

The invention relates to a mineral wool composite material to be used as an insulation material and to a method for manufacturing it. The mineral wool composite material according to the present invention comprises mineral wool fibres and aerogel material uniformly distibuted within the mineral fibres. The method comprises a step of adding aerogel material to the mass of the fresh mineral wool fibres with the aid of the additions means for aerogel material.
