- Press-on unit according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the blanket which wraps around the at least one pressure body in its circumferential direction at least in sections extends over the majority of the length of the pressure body.

- Press-on unit according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the pressure body is formed by a pressure bellows, in particular a folding bellows, or a pressure hose.
- Press-on unit according to Claim 13, characterized in that the pressure bellows or pressure hose is composed at least partially of a fibre-reinforced and/or thread-reinforced deformable plastic.
- Press-on unit according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that water, gas, oil or a mixture of at least two of the said fluids is provided as pressure fluid.
- Press-on unit according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the blanket comprises a woven fabric.
- Press-on unit according to Claim 16, characterized in that the woven fabric is formed by metallic threads and/or polymer threads.
- Press-on unit according to Claim 16 or 17, characterized in that the woven fabric is embedded into a deformable plastic which is, in particular, of single-piece configuration.
- Press arrangement for dewatering or calendering a paper, cardboard, tissue or another fibrous web for a machine for producing and/or finishing the said web having at least one pressure nip which is formed by a press roll and a mating roll, the press roll having a stationary carrier and a roll shell which can be rotated relative to the former and can be pressed against the mating roll via a press shoe which is supported on the carrier, a press-on unit according to one of Claims 1 to 18 being arranged between the carrier and the press shoe, and the supporting element being provided by the carrier and the mating element being provided by the press shoe.
- Press arrangement according to Claim 19, characterized in that two pressure bodies are arranged one behind another in the machine direction of the press arrangement, which pressure bodies are wrapped around in their circumferential direction in each case by a blanket which comprises two end sections, the bar being arranged between the two pressure bodies, and the two end sections of each blanket projecting in each case on that side of the pressure body which points towards the bar and being connected to the bar.
- Press arrangement according to Claim 19 or 20, characterized in that, during pressing of the roll shell against the mating roll, the pressing direction of the press shoe is fixed by at least one guide face, along which the press shoe is guided, the guide face extending parallel to at least one guide pin which guides the at least one bar in the pressing direction.
- Press arrangement according to one of the preceding Claims 19 to 21, characterized in that a plurality of pressure bodies are arranged one behind another in the transverse machine direction of the press arrangement, which pressure bodies can be loaded with the pressure fluid, in particular independently of one another.
- Doctor, guide or wiping device having a doctor, guide or wiping element which can be set against a mating surface, which is provided, for example, by a roll, and can be moved away from it again by means of a press-on device according to one of Claims 1 to 18.
