- A coin-sorting device, comprising a coin storage drum (15), which is rotatable by a drive unit and has a multiplicity of radially distributed compartments (16) for receiving different coin types, which can be fed from above, and comprising a fixed plate (14) with at least one slot-shaped opening, the coin storage drum (15) being movable via said plate,

the compartments (16) of the storage drum (15) are open radially inwardly, and in that a plurality of slot-shaped openings (21) assignable to different coin types are provided in the plate (14) in a radially inwardly arranged orientation towards the compartments (16), and in that the slot-shaped openings (21) in the plate (14) are assigned to ejection devices for ejecting coins (5) present in the compartments (16) through the respective slot-shaped opening (21), wherein a control device (27) is provided in order to control the drive unit (24) and the ejection devices (26) independently of the respective position of the compartments (16) and independently of the respective type of coins (15) received in the compartments (16). - The device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the compartments (16) are at least partly open radially outwardly, and in that the ejection device (26) assigned to the respective slot-shaped opening (21) is arranged opposite the respective slot-shaped opening (21) with regard to the storage drum (15).
- The device according to Claim 1 or Claim 2, characterised in that the storage drum (15) or the compartments are closed by a base (35), wherein the base is preferably inclined radially outwardly.
- The device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the drive unit comprises a stepper drive (24) for stepwise rotation of the storage drum (15).
- The device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the ejection device comprises an electromagnet or a motor and an ejection element actuatable thereby.
- The device according to Claim 5, characterised in that the radially outwardly directed open region of the compartments is provided with a web (19) to support a coin, and in that the ejection element (34) has two protrusions arranged at a distance from one another for ejecting a coin.
- The device according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the coin storage drum (15) is rotatable in two directions.
- The device according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterised in that sensors (23) for detecting a passage of a coin through the openings (21, 22) and/or for monitoring the content of the compartments (16) are assigned to the slot-shaped openings (21, 22) and/or to the compartments (16).
- The device according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterised in that a printed circuit board for receiving electrical and/or electronic components required to control the sorting process is arranged on the plate (14) beneath the storage drum (15).
- A cash point system comprising a coin-separating device (1), a coin checker (2), a device (3) for sorting coins checked by the coin checker (2) according to one of Claims 1 to 9, and a plurality of units (4) for storing different types of coins.
- The cash point system according to Claim 10, characterised in that the coin-separating device (1) and the coin checker (2) are arranged above the sorting device, wherein the coin-receiving chute of the coin checker (2) is connected to a receiving opening (7) of the sorting device (3) for feeding a received coin into one of the compartments (16) of the storage drum (15) of the sorting device (3).
- The cash point system according to Claim 10 or 11, characterised in that the coin-separating device (1) is connected to a return channel (11), which is passed through an opening (30, 20) through the sorting device (3).
- The cash point system according to one of Claims 10 to 12, characterised in that the units (4) for storing different coin types are preferably formed as hoppers and are arranged in at least two planes beneath the sorting device (3), wherein the slot-shaped openings (21) are each connected to a unit (4).
