An independent claim is also included for an offshore arrangement comprising a support construction.

Description

The invention relates to a method for installing a buoyant offshore arrangement according to claim 1 and to an offshore arrangement according to claim 2.

Out EP 1 068 403 has become known an offshore arrangement that is buoyant. It has a support structure on which three or four vertical supports are mounted laterally. Suction cups are attached to the lower end of the columns to fix the columns in the seabed by means of negative pressure. Between the supports there is a platform, which is movably guided on the supports and between a first position in which it is approximately in the region of the suction cups and a second position spaced therefrom, releasably connected to the supports. The arrangement described is buoyant, so that the arrangement, once completed on land, can be moved or pulled floating to a desired location. At the installation site, the support structure is lowered until the suction cups stand up on the seabed. Thereafter, the suction cups are fixed in the ground, at which time the platform floats. After setting the supports, the platform is raised from the sea level. It is also known to form the platform itself as a float to float the offshore arrangement to a desired location.

Such offshore arrangements serve, for example, to open up oil or gas deposits under the seabed. Further, they serve to bring down a pipe for conveying oil or gas from the Seabed. To protect such measures, ie drill pipe and drill pipes and the like guide tubes are provided, which are built from above the sea level to the seabed. In order to guide and also to hold such guide and protective tubes in a suitable manner, it is known to attach laterally corresponding guide means to the offshore arrangement.

Out US 3,797,256 are known an offshore drilling platform and a method of constructing such an offshore drilling platform. By telescoping the platform of upper vertical support legs and lower vertical support legs this should also be suitable for large water depths. At the lower end of the upper vertical support legs, a guide structure is provided which guides the lower vertical support legs. Securely connected to the buoyant platform is an oil rig, through which an oil rig can be directed from the platform to the seabed. The oil drilling device is also guided by the provided at the lower ends of the upper vertical support legs guide structure.

The invention has for its object to provide an offshore arrangement and a method for installing a buoyant offshore arrangement, wherein the guide means during installation can be brought into position in a simple manner.

This object is solved by the features of claims 1 and 2.

In the method according to the invention, during the transport of the offshore arrangement and a first lowering stroke of the supporting structure, the support of lower and upper guide means for the guide and protective tubes or riser pipes is made by the supporting structure. The support structure is usually a latticework on which the vertical supports are mounted. During the lowering of the support structure, the support of the upper guide means, which are carried out separately from the lower guide means, taken from the platform. While the lower guide means are lowered with the support structure towards the seabed, the upper guide means are held by the platform as soon as they reach the area of the platform. The upper guide means remain supported on the platform when they are is raised above the sea level. The foundation of the support structure on the seabed can be done in a known manner, for. B. by means of a concrete foundation or suction cups or the like.

In the offshore arrangement according to the invention, the lower guide means are firmly connected to the support structure. The upper guide means are separably supported on the support structure and may extend upwardly from the support structure as the support structure is lowered towards the platform towards the seabed. The platform has holding means which support the upper guide means when the support structure has been lowered from the platform by a predetermined distance.

For the introduction of the guide and protective tubes and risers on the guide means are more or less obligatory to provide guiding means in the area of the platform. In the invention, however, these guide means must not be connected to the platform from the outset, but they are initially supported more or less loosely on the support structure before the final installation of the arrangement. It is understood that the upper guide means are limited to the side and can not swim away. However, they are able to be raised relative to the support structure without further notice. When lowering the support structure is carried on the platform. In this way, the upper guide means are more or less automatically connected to the platform when the offshore assembly is installed. According to one embodiment of the invention, the platform can laterally receiving slots or channels have, in which sliders of the upper guide means engage until they abut against a stop. In this position, the guide means can be fixed by means of suitable fastening means on the platform. Other constructive means are also conceivable for "catching" the upper guide means from the platform during the lowering operation and fixing the upper guide means to the platform, eg by means of a hook and flange connection.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the upper guide means are preferably arranged in a frame. The frame may in turn be a latticework in which the guide means are mounted as guide rings or the like.

The supports of the frame can invest according to a further embodiment of the invention laterally against the associated side surface of the platform in order to obtain a sufficient lateral stabilization on the platform.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, at least one rail pair for a rail vehicle is mounted on the platform and the guide means comprise at least a pair of rail sections aligned with the rails on the platform when the upper guide means are connected to the platform. The rail vehicle is used, for example, for the transport of pipes, which are aligned with the aid of the rail vehicle to the guide means before the tubes are lowered.

The offshore arrangement according to Fig. 1 is assembled in a suitable location and allowed to water. Of course, this can also be done with the help of floating docks or the like. Fig. 2 shows the floating of the assembly 10, wherein the water level is indicated at 36. The buoyancy of the assembly 10 is produced by the platform 18. With the help of a suitable Zugschiffes the assembly 10 is pulled to a desired location. Fig. 3 shows the beginning of the installation at the desired location. For this purpose, the support structure 12 is lowered relative to the platform 18, as indicated by arrow 38. The funds required for this purpose are not shown.

In Fig. 4 It is shown how the support structure 12 is completely lowered on a seabed 40. It can be seen that during this lowering process the frame 28 remains hanging on the platform 18, thus lifting itself from the support structure 12, when the frame 28 in the lowering process according to Fig. 3 has a height in which holding means of the platform 18, not shown hold the frame 28 so that its upper surface is approximately aligned with the top of the platform 18.

In Fig. 6 is shown as the suction cups 16 are driven in the seabed and fixed there. In addition, it is shown how the platform 18 is raised above the water level 36 and thereby took the frame 28.

Fig. 6 shows the final installation of the assembly 10, wherein the platform 18 is pushed to the upper end of the vertical supports 14 and fixed thereto. Again, the frame 28 is taken.

On the platform 18 are rail pairs 42 on which the vehicle 26 can be moved. On top of the frame 28 are also, as shown at 44, rail portions 44, which are aligned with the rails 42. The vehicle 26 can therefore, as in Fig. 7 is shown, at least partially driven on the frame 28. With the help of the frame 28a on the vehicle 26 guide tubes can now be brought down or riser pipes are installed, as at 46 in Fig. 7 shown. The guide tubes 46 can be guided by the already mentioned guides in the levels 30 to 34 in the frame 28 and by lower guide means in the support structure 12. The guide or protective tubes are used, for example to guide and protect drill pipes that are driven into the seabed during the drilling process.

In the Fig. 8 - 13 the interconnectable parts of platform 18 and upper guide means 28 are shown in more detail. However, only details which form a connecting structure between these parts will be described below. The remaining parts are not explained because they have nothing to do with the subject invention.

Innerhalb und oberhalb der Führungsbleche 62 ist eine weitere Anlagefläche 68 vorgesehen, die Schraublöcher aufweist für eine Schraubbefestigung der beiden Teile in montierter Position gemäß Fig. 9.One recognizes in the Fig. 8 - 13 a hook portion 50 and on the side facing the platform 18 has a recess 52, in which the hook portion 40 can be hooked. The recess 52 narrows down so that an easier insertion into the recess 52 is made possible. Below and to the side of the recess guide plates 54 are provided with a conical insertion section. They serve to guide the hook portion 50 when inserted into the recess 52. Above the hook portion 50, a projection 56 is provided with a vertical, planar counter surface 58, which cooperates with a contact surface 60 at the top of the platform 18, if, as in Fig. 9 is shown, the hook portion 50 is inserted into the recess 52. This is done in the already described vertical relative movement of platform 18 and upper guide means 28. Below the guide plates 54 further guide plates 62 are formed on a common elongate plate 64. A counter-plate 66 is provided below the hook portion 50. The plates 64, 66 also come to rest in the mounted position Fig. 9 , Within and above the guide plates 62 is another contact surface 68 provided, the screw holes for a screw fastening of the two parts in the mounted position according to Fig. 9 ,

In the embodiment of the 10 and 11 are the after the 8 and 9 same parts provided with the same reference numerals. The only difference between the 8 and 9 on the one hand and the 10 and 11 On the other hand, that no continuous plates between the upper and lower guide plates 54, 62 are arranged or below the hook portion 50, but below and above the guide plates 54, 62 shorter contact surfaces are mounted on corresponding sheet metal structures with counter surfaces 70, 72 at the top Guide member 28 are attached. In the embodiment of the FIGS. 12 and 13 are in turn equal parts with those after the 8 and 9 provided with the same reference numerals. On the platform 18, a contact surface 72 with screw holes is present only below the recess 52 next to the abutment surface 60 above the platform 18 on the attachment piece 80th
